I never write reviews. Ever. Nonetheless, I felt compelled to leave some feedback after this extraordinary trip!! We selected The Trident Hotel for our every-five-years trip and we were not disappointed! It was relaxing, romantic and everything I'd hoped it would be! The staff truly goes above and beyond to make sure that you enjoy yourself. We were particularly fond of Rohan's casual dining service, Arthur's willingness to snorkel, paddleboard, even play soccer at a moment's notice and ... Read more

Took my elderly mother here for her beach vacation of a lifetime, and it was EXACTLY that. There were a total of FOUR people at the resort but service was not scaled down. Everyone went above and beyond to make sure our experience was wonderful. Overall resort grounds/buildings: The photos here and on their website don't come close to showing you the beauty, simplicity, and elegance of this resort. The buildings are in excellent repair. Everything is optic white. Not beige, not eggshell,... Read more

A week (May 8-12) at this marvelous hotel was my Mother's Day present from my daughter. This is a gorgeous resort. The property is pristine, modern, not a fallen leaf out of place, the beach is raked throughout the day, your personal plunge pool and terrace are serviced and it all happens like magic. The staff adjusts to your schedule and service is provided without any intrusion on your privacy. All this excellent service starts when you get off the plane. I took an impromptu, but much needed break from my hectic schedule, to go to Jamaica with friends for my birthday. It was amazing! Trident Castle is a beautiful mixture of Jamaica of yesterday and today. The vista from the road is amazing but the views from the Castle onto the water are phenomenal. From the castle, we went just up the road to Trident Hotel. What a gorgeous place! The décor and location was only trumped by the service. From the minute we walked through the door, the staff was so... Read more

For our first trip overseas we stayed at the Trident Hotel in Port Antonio, where we were driven in by Clive, aka "Suga" which made our car ride through Jamaica very informative and enjoyable. First, let me say if you have never been to Jamaica, I recommend getting the VIP package that the Trident offered us. There will be someone waiting at the gate for you and they will get you expedited through check in quick and easy. Then you will get to go chill in the VIP lounge until your driver arrives.... My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights in May and we completely blown away. The hotel itself is amazing, grounds impeccably kept, villas breathtaking and beach fabulous. The food top class and we were lucky enough to get to go Mikes Club on Saturday night, I definitely recommend staying on a weekend so you can experience this. Our villa (#2) was beyond what I expected and my wife was amazed as it was a surprise trip. It was spotless and the plunge pool was great, even though the heater system w... Read more

My fiance and I traveled to Jamaica for an impromptu vacation. We could not have dreamed of a better experience than the Trident Hotel. From our private flight transfer to the hotel; the unbelievable cuisine; the attentive service; the remarkable views and the lovely grounds, the Trident Hotel was beyond anything we could have imagined. The manager Lij was our contact throughout the trip and he answered every question, inquiry and request we had. There was nothing we requested that Lij did not... Read more

Fantastic! A hidden gem with the combination of amenities rarely seen. I really felt relaxed and free to have a great getaway. Don't be fooled by the rollaway gate; once you are on the other side a paradise awaits you. I can't wait to return in January.

I will get right to the point. After staying in multiple luxury hotels on multiple continents, I can easily say that the Trident is one of the better hotels in the world. The property is impeccable. All facilities are well-maintained. The design of the property was the brainchild of one of Jamaica's best young architects. The architect's creative vision is reflected in the innovative, modern design of the hotel. Regarding the basics, getting to the hotel (located in Port Antonio) from Kingston... Read more

7 weeks over three stays at The Trident Hotel in Port Antonio, Portland, Jamaica, speak for themselves. You will not find a more private, stunning, excellently run hotel in the whole of the island. There isn??t a thing you can fault them for. The service is second to none, the cuisine was even better than before. We left a fortnight ago and are counting down the days to the 3 weeks we have booked for next year. Bliss.

I was lucky enough to be treated to a surprise visit to The Trident by my husband, for my 40th birthday. He had planned a two-night stay away from our family holiday in St Elizabeth. The drive from St. Elizabeth to Portland took 6 hours and I had no idea where we were staying or what to expect. I was not disappointed.  From the moment the gates opened I could see that The Trident was going to be special, but what greets you as you step out of the car is simply breathtaking. I was astonished by... Read more

We've stayed at Trident 2x and we'd go back again! Trident is on a beautiful property that's private and romantic with stunning ocean views. Their private beach is like a lagoon. The water is shallow and calm and crystal clear. They provide floating mats and boards for paddle boarding. We absolutely love the people -- they are warm who provide consistent world-class service. It's true paradise!

Our expectations were exceeded! Lovely atmosphere, and on top of it warmed, friendly and helpful staff who make you feel at home ( and VIP ???). Clive was extremely helpful and kind and took care of us with his elegant touch. We'll never forget Arthur who encouraged us to try new activities on the beach, he put his heart into his work. We'll come back !

I planned a special birthday celebration at this property. From the very beginning of the planning stages you could tell the staff was special. They made me feel like family right away and did everything they could to accommodate my requests for the event. The event was a stunning success and my guests still talk about it today. I also stayed on property for 10 nights and honestly felt like it wasn't long enough. The property is intimate and stunning. The service was outstanding and the breakfa... Read more

This place is an absolute GEM. My sister & her fiancé at the time (now married)had some of their guest and wedding party stay at the Trident Hotel as her wedding was held at the Trident Castle, another decadent place with its vintage historical ambiance. Any who, the hotel staff is very professional as if they were hand picked like flowers, they were so accommodating, landscaping was groomed through out the day. Here for a wedding. Beautiful villa's in Port Antonio. Villa's were expensive but none the less beautiful. Staff is friendly. Can make requests for meals for thee following day, which was an added bonus for breakfast. For cabs, catch outside the hotel. If the villa calls one it is $10 a person for a $1 ride.

The Trident is a wonderful place to stay that seems to grow on you with time. After over a two hour trip through the Jamaican mountains we were more than ready to get out of the car. We were not sure what to make of this hotel when we first arrived, greeted with cold towels and a drink. The décor and surroundings is very non-traditional right down to the sheep. With some comment we switched our room to Villa 1. The Villa was spacious and elegant right on the ocean with a dip pool. We had ... Read more

So...from the very first call I made expressing interest in staying at Trident I received a warm and enthusiastic service from the staff. I stayed just for my birthday night and they made sure to find out what the occasion was while i was booking so they could set up a little surprise for me. Sneaky and sweet lol. I arrived earlier than the regular check in time and was graciously taken to this out of the world amazing room, which I later found out was an upgrade because....as i said they are ... Read more
