"I read almost all reviews before choosing where my husband and I would go. We picked a great spot. This was our first Sandals vacation and before we left we planned another for next year at a different resort.
The accommodations and staff were beyond excellent. We had a butler and it was well worth it, once you get used to asking somebody to do a lot of stuff you would normally do on your own. They wanted to do everything for you. Our butlers were great.
If I had to complain about anything it would be the food. We had no issues getting into any restaurant because apparently the butler service gets you into anything. I will say though that I have had better food before, and even by some chain restaurants. The steak and lobster we ordered for room service was the best dinner we had. the breakfasts were very good too. We were only there three nights so we didnt get to try all the restaurants. We did eat at Kellly's Dockside and beef tenderloin was very good but the mahi looked like a frozen piece of fish and had very little taste.
Even though we have had better food, the overall experience was too die for and as long we had food, we were ok."

"Got in late, not Sandals fault.
Had great time, room was one of the more basic,, but it was fantastic.. When leaving, got to airport, found one of bags not on bus. Called Sandals, they found bag, put it in a car and sent it to Montego Bay, got it to us, Thanks Sandals.
Now at the airport, Red Caps, Taxi Drivers, Security, and American Airline staff, all went well beyond the norm to get us connected to our luggage and to the plane on time.. Thanks all

"Staff are wonderful, friendly and very helpful. Only complaint was that there were hundreds of trave agents staying and viewing the facilities and also Sandals personnel staying, they seemed to get better attention for several days than the paying guests.nBeaches are lacking, very small not what we expected at all.nFood portions are very small do not hestitate to ask for a double portion at just about every place you eat.nOur room was suppose to be a villa luxury suite it was nice but not sure what th luxury was suppose to be, small room, no extras in the fridge but pop, water and some juice thought we should of had full stocked for the price of our room, no robes either disappointing."

"There must be something in the water there. I am so glad this is where we picked to go on our honeymoon. Having never been to an all-inclusive resort, we were amazed to see how poliete, friendly and caring the staff was. There was also smiling, laughing and fun being had at all hours of the day.
The food at the resturants was delicious, drinks were never ending and of course the beautiful Jamaican sun!
Just a heads up for those who have not flown internationally (we hadn't), have a blue/black pen with you to fill out the customs/immigration forms and make sure to wait and here instructions prior to filling out.
Relax and enjoy your time here, we can't wait to come back!"

"This place was absolutely amazing! The staff went above and beyond our expectations. We were constantly greeted by everyone. These are the friendliest people I've ever met.
Upon arrival you are greeted with a cold towel to cool off with a glass of Champagne. You then check in while seated in the comfortable lounge. Your bags are then taken to your room. You are then free to do pretty much anything you want. We were never told no our entire trip.
The pros...
The staff is great. As said earlier you are always greeted day or night. The place is very clean. The grounds are beautifully laid out. The food was great. We had breakfast everyday at the Market Place. It is buffet style and you can choose from the normal stuff like pancakes, eggs etc. I do recommend trying the rum syrup with pancakes etc. The smoked marlin was also great, something I have never tried. Lunch can be had at 5 or 6 different places. The Jerk Chicken from Dino's is good. I really wanted to try Jamaican food while in the country. The pizza from Bella Napoli is amazing. Some days we just skipped lunch as you are still full from breakfast. One must save room for drinking !!! The drinks never stop coming!! Your glass is never empty. You would think that the drinks here are carefully measured since they are free. They are poured without a jigger til the bartender feels they are strong enough!! My girlfriend asked a bartender at the Sunsetter Lounge for something tropical. The bartender, cant remember her name wish I could, made a drink that was mango something or another. After telling the bartender how much she liked it, would always say' I made too much' and give her two glasses of it ! You are free to take your drink with you every where you go. You can even take your drinks with you on the shuttle bus that takes you from one side of the resort to the other. We had dinner at a different place every night. The Reef Terrace on the seaside was wonderful food and a great view to watch the sunset. The Manor on the Hillside was amazing. The Ribeye steak may just be the best I've ever had. Kelly's Dockside is the pier where your dinner is over the Caribbean Sea. The service was a little slow but considering the food is prepared back at the beach and and must be carried 50 yards to your table it is understandable. Kimonos is a Japanese Teppanyaki style restaurant. Our chef was very entertaining and the food was very good. Valentino's the Italian Restaurant is a class act all the way. You are served by a gloved waiter. The food was so good and wonderfully presented that we literally took pictures of each course!! Others that have reviewed this resort have complained about the portion sizes at the restaurants. We felt they were just right. All the dinner restaurants are multiple courses. We even skipped desert at almost every restaurant as we didn't have room and we were determined to leave the island with less rum than we got there!! Considering we both gained ten pounds on this trip I really am grateful the portions were not any bigger!! The playmakers, aka entertainment directors, keep the party going. One of the playmakers, just kept us laughing! The resort provides you with a newsletter everyday to keep you up to date with all the entertainment and activities. The gentleman at the front desk, was very professional and helpful at all times.
The cons...
The bathrooms are few and far between. When you drink from 10 am til 11 pm everyday it would have been nice to have more bathrooms at the resort. The beach is pretty small. What is shown on the web is pretty much about all the beach there is. There are three sections of beach. The Ochi Beach Club has what I would call the only true beach here. Its beautiful but dont expect it extend for miles. The view from Jamie's beach is blocked by the pier. The Watersports beach has all the sailboats and kayaks etc there.
Tips and other things we wish we would have known before we arrived at the resort....
We flew AA. They will hand out immigration paperwork in flight to fill out but don't hand out pens with it so bring a pen. Before you get off the plane in Montego Bay, if you have to used the bathroom use it on the plane!! There are no bathrooms in the airport before going through customs! It is a long line with hundreds if not thousands of people. Dont bother getting any Jamaican currency. Everything that we saw on the island is priced in US dollars. Even credit card transactions are priced in US dollars. Upon arrival the resort makes you sign a liability waiver. Not that I am the type of person that sues people, but I was a little put off by this. Having never traveled internationally or been to this resort I didn't know what to expect. Luckily, we didn't get hurt or sick not did we see anyone else. Bring the highest SPF sunblock you can find. We brought SPF 30 and still got sunburned. Bring cash with you as there aren't any ATM's at the resort. Small bills come in handy. The front desk will make change for you if needed at no charge. If you plan on buying any souvenirs while in Jamaica take the shopping trip offered at the resort and go into Ocho Rios to buy them. The trip costs $40 but the prices in town are less than half of what they are at the resorts. We found things like t-shirts at one place for 4 for $20. Considering they are that much and more at the resort that alone was worth it. Cuban cigars are legal here and I was happy to finally try one. Again, much cheaper in town than the resort. On the bus ride to and from the airport you will see poverty on a scale I have never seen. Bring a watch! Not that you are rushed at anytime while at the resort, but there are scheduled events to be on time to.
All in all, did we have a great time??

"overall our stay was very good, however there was a photoshoot on the propertyand pools restraunts .and at times beaches were closed. had I known this before hand I would have booked at a different property.Hioing there will be some sort of compension from the sandals group, as again the vacation was spoiled for us. "Overall this resort was great. The food and booze selection was awesome. Although there are limited snacks available throughout the day the selection for supper and evening meals was great. We only had to wait to be seated one out of the seven nights we were there. The 2 restaurants you have to make reservations for are hard to get into and you must make reservations as soon as you arrive to get in. The beach at this resort was disappointing. It was small for the size of the resort and it was also busy and rocky. This is why we spent most of our time at the main pool. The pools were beautiful and the service at the swim up bar was awesome. The rooms were great. They were very clean and also very private. We were in the honeymoon suite with the semi private pool and concierge service. We were happy with our service and room but had heard that you could add butler service for only 500 dollars or so. In this case it would be worth it for that cost because you have a private butler that reserves tables for supper, beach chairs, and can bring and do anything else you want. The staff at this resort were also awesome. I cant say one bad thing about them. This was our first time at this resort and as a 23 year old couple we will definitely be going back!"

"We loved our honeymoon at this Sandals! We stayed in a private Villa with a semi-private pool. It was very nice and the food was wonderful, much better then the other all inclusive resorts I have stayed at in the past. The only draw back was our villa was on the 'mountain side' and the beach and most activities were on the other side of the resort so we had to catch a jitney and then a shuttle any time we wanted to go anywhere. When we go back we will stay on the beach side for sure!!"

"My fiance and I decided we should take our first trip out the country last year in May. Anyway I had no idea where to go as this site had plenty deals going on. So I did a any many miney moe thing and landed on this hotel. It was a perfect choice as it was all inclusive, meaning one we paid for our package the only thing we had to cough up money for was odds and ends like water shoes and snacks.....Anyway the hotel was like a fairy tale! The staff was very attenitive. They didnt want us to lift a finger for anything. Staff never scurried away and pretend to be busy like other hotels Ive been to. No matter what we requested it was either given to us or they went to go find it for us(such as coconuts from their tree). We didnt have concierge service or room service with our package and we wasnt aware, none the less room service still came to warm our food and concierge didnt refuse us any service either although we apologized for not knowing the still smiled and helped. It was amazing that staff even appeared as if they too was on vacation. It is a small island but they are care free at the resort and it is refreshing. There was plenty of activities to partake in, my fiance did a michael Jackson contest and they offered him a bottle of rum for a prize. We had at least 3 activities a day planned because we were there for four days and still there was things we didnt get to do. I loved how no matter what time we started to feel hungry there was a grill or salad bar open. They are very stict on time so breakfast was between 7 and 10 after that you had to wait til 12 for lunch and dinner starts at 6 here. Just an FYI. Drinks were perfect, wasnt too strong where you were intoxicated. That I liked. Plus all pools were not higher than 4 or 5 feet which was great because pools are located near many of the bars. Night life (their night club) and their hawaiian luah (I hope I spelled that right) on the beach is bliss; good food and the sounds of clear blue water on the sand. As for their turn down service, they come between 9 and 10 when they feel that all guests are out the rooms for breakfast. We always returned to a stocked fridge full of water, a clean room and plenty towels and soap for showering. One time we forgot our wet swim suits on the floor and they hung them up out on the patio to dry which I thought to be above and beyond! Only thing I felt was a downer was that wifi was $24 for two devices like a laptop, iphone if you dont include it with your package you will be inconvienienced greatly which was a microscopic hitch in the giddyup. We traveled with cameras and was surprised we barely needed it since photographers were always around to take photos. We took our own pictures anyway and lucky we did. Photos at the print shop were $10 per pic. So we ended up taking the mothers day photos which we paid $60 for 6 (I know we got ripped off there) but hey you live once and besides it was Jamaica. I would reccomend this trip for anyone wanting to respark a little love and be somewhere were there is no smelly diapers, or kids screaming 'Moooommmmmyyyy!!!'"
