"We had a wonderful time. The staff, food, service and drinks were great. As soon as we landed they made us feel like we were their number one concern from greeting us in the airport to taking care of us all week. We enjoyed the entertainment staff from their games we played at the roof top bar to the silly ones in the pool. The nightly entertainment was good. Also the water staff was great with the sailing, kayaking, water skiing, snorkeling and scuba... we did it all. Everyday it was nice also to have the opportunity to workout in the gym, small but nice varity of equipment. We needed to with all of the choices of delicious food they offered. This was our first time there but I heard from other couples that by far this was hands down the best for your money."

"We highly recommend this as a vacation destination. The whole resort has the feel of an elegant retro celebrity resort, which in fact it was. The resort looks very much the same today! Everything is white and blue and clean as can be. The staff is over the top wonderful and the food is very, very good. We met a food writer while there who confirmed our guess that the food is all made on the premises with the freshest of ingredients. My only suggestion is that they should totally redo the bathrooms. Everything else is so lovely that the dated and rather dirty looking bathrooms mar the experience a bit. Absolutely everything else is marvelous!"

"The whole experience was terrific. The hotel, food, service and helpfulness of the staff was exceptional. This trip was way beyond our expectations and I recommend it to any couple who wants to have a trip of a life time. I can't say enough good things about the hotel and the staff! "We stayed over Christmas. Be prepared for a long ride from airport. About an 1 1/2hr ride. Our luggage did not arrive and our driver was nice enough to stop at a store and let us have time to buy some clothes. Don't know his name but we were very thankful. Resort Staff was very friendly and polite throughout whole resort. Limited places to eat with only 5 places, three of which were dinner only and two you needed to make reservations the day before for dinner. A little inconvenient. They do have room service which we did not use. Food was good in all places. If you are there for the Beach Party be prepared because you have to sit with other couples and there is no other option that day for dinner. My husband was not a fan of this and they did end up accomodating us for seating for two. Rooms were very clean, building was clean. Stayed in ocean front room with view of island and sea. Very small beach with yellow sand. Water was very choppy the whole stay due to earlier storms. Water was also freezing. Pool was nice but freezing. Weather was nice 85 high and 72 low each day. Be prepared not to be able to go outside resort due to safety. Island had much poverty and is dangerous to go anywhere alone. So, you better like the resort. Great they included excursions so you could go somewhere out of resort with tour guides. Dunns River Falls we did not make but hear it is great tour and close by. Catamaran was very nice. Scuba is actually included as well for a class and then they take you out. My husband actually ended up getting certified while out there. Many excursions and water sports are included in your all inclusive package. Was disappointed they did not do a shopping excursion everyday. The day they did provide that tour we were departing. So, we did not get to go shopping. They only do a Margaritaville tour at night for clubbing. Disappointing since I would want to go there during the day for lunch and shopping. But that was not provided. Resort did provide a show every evening of a band playing or movie on beach. Drinks were great and top shelf liquors. Resort is much smaller than we are used too. Which was nice because you got to know people there as well at the Staff. You can pay to go on other tours, we went to the Bob Marley tour. Way overpriced and not worth it. Horrible 1 1/2 hr. trip up a mountain that was very rough road and we were all car sick when we reached the destination. Tour was not that good at all since they gave limited information about his life but got a few photos and got to see where he and his family are buried. Overpriced souvenirs as well at gift shop. Then another 1 1/2 hrs. trip back. Waste of 4 hours during our last day there. They do have a private island that you can go au natural in case you are interested. The two restaurants were great that you made dinner reservations. The Asian restaurant has great food and so did the Eight Rivers. Verandah had great food and the Main area buffet always had good food. They had a 24 hr. snack shop such as burgers, hotdogs, nachos, etc. I do not like to drink water even though they claimed it was filtered. So, we asked and a taxi driver did take us to a place to get bottled water. Which we were very happy for that but expect to pay $30 for the ride since he has to take you somewhere safe to get it. They have a photographer taking photos during your stay. Then they have a photo shop where you can purchase the photos at the end of your stay. They will put on CD or print out. Be prepared because it is outrageously priced. We got two photos put on a CD and it was $30. My advice is to take a camera and have someone take photos for you during your stay. Any staff member is accommodating to take your photo with your camera. I am glad we had a camera and did that. All in all this resort was great, everyone was very friendly and I really had no complaints. Just be prepared for a small beach, small resort, and not being able to leave the resort. And for the time of year we went the pool and water may be cold and choppy. The water was never calm. But it was a pretty blue. And having Christmas there was really nice because they celebrated it. Some places we have been to over the Holiday was just another day. This resort had beautiful real pine trees that smelled like home everywhere decorated amazingly. They were huge. On Christmas they had a Santa come on the beach and you could sit on his lap and get your photo taken and get a gift, which was usually rum. What could be better than that. Then at night they had a male chorus sing some carols which was beatiful. They also had a saxaphone player playing Christmas songs by the tree and it was so nice to sit and listen to him. It was good to experience the resort and I will come back but maybe try another area just to see how it compares such as Montego Bay or Negril. Maybe there is a Couples resort in these areas as well. I was impressed with the attention Couples resort paid to their customers."

"This was my first time to Jamaica and my first couples experience. I had a great time. But I have been to other all inclusive properties, so I do have some experience. I thought that the food was excellent. Staff was superb. But the hotel felt a little out dated. Still very nice and rated properly by Bookit. But It kind of had a 80's Miami feel. It was definitely all couples at the resort so the company was enjoyable. I just felt like the hotel was a little out of shape. Tiles missing in the pool and stuff like that. Hotel was very clean and service was great. Except in the ala carte restaurant that you didn't need a reservation for. I felt like it took a little to long to get our food. But it was good. Everything was white at this hotel. Walls, building, sheets. Could have used a updated look. But it really didn't matter to me. I felt like the ocean view was awesome from my room. Balcony was awesome. Overall I had a great time but I felt like the hotel was a little outdated in the decor."
