"This was our anniversary trip and first trip to Jamaica and I wanted things to be perfect. We read MANY reviews of resorts in Jamaica. Not sure what the folks that rated it as 1-2 were expecting. Maybe they were use to having someone wait on them hand and foot and even wiping their 'back side'. The food and staff were great. The Beach party and Starlight Gala are wonderful and the food at these is outstanding. We wanted to go somewhere to relax, and is the perfect place for that. The staff helped make this possible from the airport to the welcome champagne and cool cloth after arriving to checking out. We stayed on the 2nd floor of A block and the view was great!! We were close to anything we wanted to do, which wasn't more than relaxing. We went snorkeling one day and took an afternoon catamaran cruise we prebooked another day. The rest of the time was enjoying the beach, clear waters, drinks and great food. The stairs in the resort are not hard to navigate at all and they can lead you to private areas. We will be repeat guests and recommend this resort to friends, family and anyone that asks."

"Stayed on the first floor of the A building-Excellent view, very convenient to go right out to the pool or the beach from the front door. Room was good size, not overwhelmingly big. Rooms in A or B buildings are great for almost instant access to beach and the main pool, as well as two of the three restaurants on the premises. We had the opportunity to tour a couple of rooms in the upper buildings-D and E. These rooms have a more panoramic view; are generally larger than those in A and B, and have very large verandas.The best aspect of this resort lies in the topography of the 32 or so acres it resides on. To get from the main lobby (the highest point) to the beach (the lowest point) involves descending a lot of steps; steps that are broken up by an incredible array of flora and fauna along paths with breathtaking views of the sea. The important point is this: the steps are laid out in such a fashion that you won't kill yourself getting around, yet you will be able to work off at least some of your food and drink in the process. The fact that there are only 150 rooms spread out over the 32 acres means that you can find quite a few private areas. Indeed, even the main beach was sparsely attended. The food was very good and the buffet food surprisingly good-a tremendous variety of fresh fruit and local fare (calaloo, etc) combined with traditions staples. The drinks were good-no upcharge for the 'better' alcohol if you asked for it in mixed drinks. Room service was timely.In sum, this was our first all-inclusive experience after doing a lot of cruising. Both my wife and I had a great time and this place has really won us over to all-inclusive land."

"After reading a previous comment, we're surprised! This was one of the best trips we've taken and the resort lives up to the 5 star reviews. The food selection, restaurants, and staff were all outstanding! Everyone was happy and helpful. The entertainment available every night was great and there really was no reason to leave the resort. (We did, but just to do a little shopping.) We heard horror stories from other area resorts about non-staff accosting the guests, but Couples Sans Souci is as private as anyone would ever want. This was an anniversary trip and returning to the room to get ready for dinner, we found a wonderful fresh fruit display, a bottle of good bubbly, glasses and place settings. The resort setting is beautiful and well-maintained with a wide variety of free amenities, and several extras (scuba, speedboats) if you wanted to pay for them. Dunn's River Falls tickets were a free part of our stay, as well as a $50 gift card for Margaritaville, and the airport shuttle. We used all three and were not disappointed. Couples Sans Souci consistently made us feel special and exceeded our expectations! Highly Recommended by this retired sailor and his beautiful wife!"

"This resort lives up to its reviews all the way. The ride from the airport was kinda long, but really not that big of a deal. Champagne and cool towels upon arrival were nice. The grounds are beautiful. It is a well established resort, as such all the vegetation and trees are mature, full and beautiful. This resort has dozens of places to hide away, with hidden mineral pools, jacuzzis, hammocks and more all around the property. The staff is unlike any we have ever experienced. They will know you by name within the first two days, and some will be your friends before you leave. The staff truly care about the guests, and eachother. They work together like a family. The staff to guest ratio is better than 1 to 1. There are 300 on staff, and never more than 300 guests. Being a smaller resort, there is never a line anywhere. There are always open tables at the breakfast and lunch buffets. Never more than a 2 minute wait for a drink at any of the bars. Everything they say is included, is included. No games here in any way. Sadly, we found out that May is RAIN season. We had rain every day, and it rains HARD, sometimes for hours. However, we were able to have several hours on the beach every day. (Umbrellas are standard equipment in every room) We WILL be returning."
