My 20th +- visit to Negril, first time at White Sands. This was a last minute getaway over the New Years holiday, my go to Coco La Palm was booked. Availability of lodging was understandably limited. Took a chance in the White Sands of Negril and was pleasantly surprised. Not a resort, had a boutique feel. Staff outstanding, Francis in particular. Now W/S is a value property and accordingly the standard rooms are a bit spartan; no TV, horrors! (Try reading to fall asleep:-) Insider tip: if you ... Read more

Accommodating friendly staff make White Sands an attractive alternative in Negril. It was clean and quiet, yet not too far away from little street vendors, restaurants and entertainment on the Norman Manley Boulevard. The beach access was wonderful - very clean with enough chairs to lounge on. This is not a luxury resort - however, the rooms were simple (no television) but comfortable.... it was an all around pleasant stay. Thanks !

We stayed at this property five times previously, typically staying two or three weeks every year. It's a very comfortable and reasonably priced place to stay. This property is well maintained- the showers work well with hot water, air conditioners work well, furniture and beds are comfortable, mini refrigerators work and maid staff does a good job keeping everything clean. The standard rooms that we rent do not typically come with televisions - but we don't miss them. I also like fact that ma... Read more

Prime location and service without the prime price tag. White Sands treats you like family and by the number of repeat guests I met, I'm not surprised. The room and bathroom were clean, spacious, updated and stylish. Wi-fi is accessible even on the beach! The beach side rooms are just steps from the water, unlike my Atlantic Ocean vacations. Would highly recommend!

Very accommodating in every aspect. The staff, especially Paul, the bartender, is personable and full of stories of White Sands past. Only thing I would like to see, is availability of an iron and iron board for those of us who are unprepared ?????. Francis is a gem!!! Recommend White Sands to everyone who needs to unwind...

The White Sands is located at my favorite part of Negril's white sand beach. The last time I stayed here was in 1981 and unlike some other long term facilities in Negril has upgraded it lodging and their food. The rooms, my concern, are Clean, Spacious & very reasonably priced.

I usually stay at all-inclusive resorts, so this was a new way of traveling for me. I knew what to expect before I got there. No phone or TV in my room, but I don't know why you would need that on vacation anyway. Daily maid service and the rooms were kept clean. I felt safe there. There were always plenty of beach chairs. I never saw too many people, even though I'm sure they were all booked up for the holidays. Bartenders friendly and drinks cold. 2 for 1 specials every day. The Wifi ... Read more

We have been staying at White Sands since 2007, and the only reason we have ever stayed anywhere else is because White Sands was booked!! It seems like most everyone there is a return guest ~ and many have been visiting for years! The owners and staff are very friendly, and we always feel welcome as if we are part of the family. The location is central and walking distance to everything on the beach. You don't even have to leave White Sands if you don't want to as they are located on the bea... Read more

My wife and I really didn't want to write this review because we wanted to keep this place a secret, but it wouldn't be fair to the wonderful family that owns and operates White Sands Negril. We first stumbled upon this hotel in 2013 and have been coming back every year since then. We just booked our 2 week trip in April and are looking forward to waking up every morning and setting up our spot with our umbrella and chairs. The hotel is family owned and operated and they do listen and care a... Read more

This 'resort' is located on the seven mile beach area. It has rooms on the beach side of the highway and across the road on the side opposite the beach. My room was on the other side of the highway opposite the beach. I paid about $45 (U.S.) per night. The room was spartan with a small refrigerator and no television or radio or telephone. while the restroom was tolerable, I would not describe it as very clean. The hotel is older and it shows. My rate did not include any meals. The bed was... Read more
