"Before booking this hotel i read the reviews over and over.I must agree with the comments.It was vey clean for a 3 star hotel .I love the beach ,beautiful,breath taking,everymorning i took a stroll along the beach and collected some beautiful sea shells.I have one con why do they take staff tip at the restaurants. The tax is already high and taking 10% for staff tip.It's just a turned off i prefer to tip on my own.Overall i have a wonderful time.Must see Rick's cafe and dinner @ catch a falling star was unforgettable.If you go on the road and get a taxi to the town it's cheaper than letting the hotel call a taxi for you.Staff are friendly exceptional goes to housekeeper beverly and receptionist Patricia.See you soon Coco-la Palm soon"

"My girlfriends and I stayed 3 nights in a junior suite. What a wonderful stay! The property is well maintained, the rooms are clean, and the staff is so helpful and friendly.
Walking right out to the beach, laying on a lounge chair and looking out over the crystal clear water is so relaxing. And although there are definitely locals out there trying to sell you everything under the sun, the security at Coco is excellent, and the guard will not let them bother you as long as you are on the property.
The resort is a close walk to Margaritaville, The Jungle for dancing, and Alfred's with live reggae three nights a week. You will be confronted by the locals selling their wares when walking, but just say no thank you and keep walking. Anyone uncomfortable with this can take a taxi for a couple dollars pp.
The food at Coco's restaurant was good, we did upgrade our breakfasts each morning, which cost about $4pp extra. Do be prepared for the high tax rate in Jamaica (10-16% depending on where you are).
Do not come here expecting a 5 star resort, or you will be disappointed. It is a lovely place, and for 3 stars, it is amazing!

"Our family loved the hotel. Vacationing there was sort of vintage. It takes you back to a time when vacationing was simple: enjoy the beach, enjoy the pool, enjoy the food and enjoy your family. The hotel's decor is sort of shabby-vintage, but it's super clean, and it's about being outdoors not in. As for the food, the breakfasts, especially the Continental and the steamed Red Snapper, were so delicious. Their jerk chicken at the beach bar was so good. Plus, there are lots of other restaurants within a short walk of the hotel that have terrific and varied foods. I hope we can come back to the CocoLaPalm next year!"

"We did not have any problems. It was very clean and comfortable. The gardeners and house keepers were wonderful. We enjoyed laying out in front of the hotel because the security guards were great at keeping the vendors away. The best part for me was that I had a broken foot and the staff was helpful with accommodations. All the recommendations for restaurants that they made were wonderful. My husband and I will return in the near future."

"my husband and i were very impressed with the beauty and peacefulness of our stay at coca la palm and we were extremely satisfied with our 10 day stay. the hotel personnel were knowledgeable and very helpful with any questions we had and the staff behaved very professionally and respected our privacy. our rooms were the perfect size for just us two with easy and direct access to the beach, restaurant, outside bathroom facilities, and anything u could possibly need (hair salon, stores, massages, etc.) the rooms also included a safe in which to store any valuables and you have the only key. i would highly recommend a stay at Coca La Palm to everyone who wants to have the ultimate stay, as we plan to return ourselves to this hotel."

"Hotel was really nice. Must upgrade to Junior Suite (2nd floor) our first room on the first floor was a shoe box- It was so small, and people were constantly walking past our window. We upgraded for $30 extra a night, and it was worth every penny. Beach was well kept. Would recommend to a friend."

"Just returned from my first visit to Jamaica. I don't think I could have picked a better place to stay. The food, location, beach, cleanliness, services etc were all excellent. "I visit Jamaica a few times per year, and stay mostly in Negril. This was my first stay at The CocoLaPalm, the staff was friendly and accomodative. The room was more on the small and dark side, not bright and spacious. However, the property was very clean well maintained and enjoyable. I have stayed at other hotels in Negril but this one was my most memoriable dispite the small and dark room. I really enjoyed my time spent there, I have lots of good memories. I would definately return."

"I have travelled to jamaica numerous times and stayed all over the island. Nothing compares to the beauty of Negril. And there is no better place to stay than CoCo La Palm. We love the warm familiar feeling of CoCo La Palm and everyone treats us like family. CoCo is not for everyone. If you need a big splashy all inclusive with a lot of stuffy tourist types than stay somewhere else. But if you are looking for a true island experience and a home away from home, CoCo is the place to stay. "
