After arriving at the airport and going through immigration there is a ‚??Welcome‚?? area for the Couples Resorts. It is inside the terminal. They will register you and take your luggage and tell you to have a beer and wait for the shuttle which is free from the hotel. Took only a short time and we were escorted to the minibus. It is a long ride to the hotel so prepare yourself for it. Guest should go to the toilet before coming out of the terminal. We had somebody 20 minutes later wanting to s... Read more

Couples is our home away from home. We have been to this resort 3 additional times. We were celebrating my Birthday and I wanted to just go somewhere where I didn't have to think and could just relax on the beach. Airport- easy, go through customs and walk to the Couples area. Employees take your bags, sit down have a drink and wait a few minutes to get your shuttle to the resort. It's about an hour and 20 minute drive. I enjoy seeing the country during this drive. One of the best resorts we have ever visited. Stayed here for our honeymoon and we keep comparing other resorts to that of Couples. We loved the open air seating for breakfast and dinner and the food was amazing!!! Not to mention, they carry the best soft drink around- Ting! The staff really went above and beyond with incorporating the guests in all the activities. The staff was one of the friendliest we've ever come across. The only complaint, and really not the fault of the resort, is the car ... Read more

This is the best location I've been at so far! The sand is the whitest I've ever seen and the water is the most clearest blue I have ever seen! The staff are the friendliest I've ever met. Wow! They really truely are! The maid service was the best. Latoya made sure that our room was extremely clean. This is a small resort, easy to get around. Food was great. I travelled with a picky eater and we always found something good to eat. Actually didn't really have to search for something good. The ... Read more

Went to Couples Negril on the second week of our honeymoon. Staff were fantastic from the moment we arrived, Our room was very clean and kept very cool by the air conditioning and the very friendly maid kept it spotless daily. This hotel has one of the best beaches I've been to, the sea is calm and warm and has very little seaweed etc. The hotel has a nice laid back feel about it, I did find that even though there was entertainment in the evening not many people showed up as I think most peopl... We were at Couples Negril in May 2016 celebrating my 50th birthday. We had such a wonderful vacation. The staff is amazing, the vibe is nice and laid back (no pressuring you to play games and do activities, etc), the grounds are beautiful, the quality of the beach and ocean are truly amazing. Rooms are spotless and the entire resort appears to be well maintained. The only thing that prevents me from giving the highest rating is that we found the food to be inconsistent. Try to get building 6 - right on the water and close to dining. Food was again, good not great. Extra dining opportunities, included in the price, were a great option. The good: Great customer service, friendly staff, free couples photoshoot, decent food for an all inclusive (the jerk chicken is the best), beautiful hotel grounds, free transportation to and from the airport, the resort hosts lots of local venders so you can shop straight from hotel grounds. The bad: Far away from most tourist attractions, too many trees on the beach (the shade they provide is good though), drinks are heavily watered down but you get what you pay for. My boyfriend & I visited June 4-9 2016. We had a blast! Clean rooms, beautiful beaches, and many free amenities (e.g. SUP, kayaking, snorkeling, and SCUBA.) Each day of the week there is an event the resort puts on, from wine and cheese night to beach bonfires. FYI If you are planning on going to the restaurant that starts with an "O"- the fancy one. Home away from home - that's the feeling you'll experience from the time you check-in. Accommodations are well kept and are appropriate given the lifestyle. Food and drinks are plentiful and with lots of variety to choose from. Would suggest that they continue to add more of the native cuisine as a way of giving their guest a wider variety of the Jamaican culture (meal). recreational activities on site are friendly and intuitive - take advantage of the included golfing at the nearby Negril Golf ... Again, I always like to qualify this as saying that while we are Repeaters, if you read my other reviews of various establishments, you will see that if there is truly a problem, I'll be the first to say it. The worse part was to see a young female guest battering a Canadian lady, the staff did not do anything to deescalate the situation. We informed all o... Read more

We are Couples Repeaters, having first stayed at CN in 1999, shortly after it opened. Since then we've stayed at 3 of the 4 resorts multiple times and love each one! This trip we invited my sister and brother-in-law to join us for her birthday. We booked 2 Garden Suites and asked to be in close proximity to each other. They placed us in Bldgs. 8 & 9...perfect. Suite was bright, clean and spacious with a huge verandah. Great: The staff was wonderful. Each person we encountered was friendly and pr... Read more

We traveled to Negril in June 2016. Upon arrival at the airport we were escorted to the Couples lounge. There we were given complimentary Red Stripe beers. We waited for 30 minutes and were taken to our van for transportation to Negril. The travel time from Montego Bay airport to Negril is 1.5-2 hours depending on traffic on the busy city streets and narrow rural roads. Upon arrival at Couples we were not met with concierge. We started pulling our suitcases to checkin area and then someo... Read more

Beach was amazing To be fair we went into this trip with high expectations. We travel every year with 3 to 5 other couples. We have done cruises and the last 3 years we have stayed at all inclusive resorts. This was our first time staying at a Couples resort. The resort itself was beautiful. The landscaping was meticulous and they stayed busy all day. Even early in the morning when i was doing my walks down the beach the resort had several people out hand raking the beach. The water was amazing.... Read more

First and foremost this was sold to me as a 5 star hotel which it isn't. It is a good 4 star property. I blame Travel bag who I booked with for this. We did really enjoy our stay here, our room was very large and comfortable although the bed dipped in on both sides where people had been. We had a sea view room and this had a lovely furnished balcony with partial sea views. There is a road at the back which causes some noise but not too much. The pool area was large with lots of loungers but I... Read more

We chose Couples Negril after reading all the rave reviews which heighten our expectations. Couples does a nice job of getting you from the airport to the hotel and the check in process is a breeze. One of the problems we encountered was the stairs. We both have slight mobility problems and there is no way down to the main area except the two flights of stairs. At check in we stated that we really couldn‚??t do stairs but they gave us a second floor room in building 3. After we climbed the st... Read more

We booked this trip through Beach Bum Vacations for our 10 year wedding anniversary! Our Beach Bum, Sue was absolutely amazing at assisting me with preparation for the trip! We stayed at Couples Negril for a week and I cannot say one bad thing about our stay! Our room was amazing, and clean, the staff was on top of making sure we had everything we needed and the beach was breathtaking! Every staff member we encountered went above and beyond for us, and I don't think I saw one in a bad mood the e... Read more

We arrived at the resort to begin our 10nt stay after spending our first 4nts at Couples Swept Away. We married at Couples Negril 11yrs ago & have made many repeat visits to not only Couples Negril, but all the other Couples Resorts. That being said Couples Negril is our favourite, we consider it our home away from home & we have developed close relationships with a large number of the staff who have worked there many years (that in itself speaks volumes). Every visit to us is special, but this... Read more

We stayed at this all inclusive in February 2016. Having left the northeast in a wintery storm we were excited to arrive at our tropical paradise. The location of the resort is beautiful, lush and blends well with the environment. The room was fabulous- large- a huge bathroom- excellent view with a private patio with a hammock to swing in. Spacious understates the accommodations! The resort itself is very private and the location is wonderful. Sadly, the cuisine does not satisfy the senses as th... Read more

Just got back from couples negril. Had a fantastic time worth every dollar! Food and drinks were fantastic. The staff is what really makes the place special. I work in the service industry and was very impressed. They always went above and beyond. All staff was fantastic but Floy and Denva were extra excellent! I recommend taking advantage of activities. We stayed 6 nights so we were looking for activities. Favorite was catamaran Howard was the most entertaining bar tender. Highly recommended!

Husband and I stayed here 7/20-7/26. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous! The ocean was a true pleasure with water calm enough to float in like a pool. Conveniently, Couples has floats on all of the lounge chairs at the pool and on the beach. We were just impressed by service and friendliness of the staff. The room was spacious and tropical like. However, the bed was a bit hard. We loved the food and variety offered considering this is all inclusive hotel. The food temperature could have been w... Read more

This was our second year in a row going to a Couples Resort. Last year we went to Tower Isle and loved it so we thought we would give another Couples a chance. Overall this was an excellent resort. We were delayed getting in due to our flight but were still greeted with great hospitality once we arrived. We thought we were getting an ocean view room (since that's what they call it) but it is really a partial ocean view. This resort is mostly gardens. And walking back to your room at night you al...
