"Our wedding was phenomenal and the views of the bay and the sunsets are breathtaking. The rooms in the 'Preferred Club' were well appointed and had big views. The Preferred Club beach and lagoon were top notch, but unfortunately not very well policed. When people from other sections of the resort take advantage of amenities that we paid extra for, its a bit frustrating. The resort was very private and sits right at the edge of the peninsula, behind gates, so there are no locals contantly pacing up and down the beaches trying to sell you something. Very important if you want to enjoy Jamaica! My main complaint would be that the overall attitude of the staff is, in a word, terrible. NEVER even remotely friendly, not helpful, not hospitable in the least. Maybe its a cultural thing, because the staff of the other resorts we have visited were all about customer service, made us feel comfortable, and helped any way they could. (Dominican Republic & Mexico) This is a magnificent location for weddings/honeymoons and romantic getaways, but only if you book Preferred Club, and please dont expect to have the red carpet rolled out by the staff."

"Our expectation of 'private concierge' did not meet expectations as she only checked in with us the first morning. The food was sub-par. Maid service was good until last day and then non-existent. Our room had maintenance issues - the alarm clock had to be replaced, coffee pot handle was broke and had to be replaced and the stool continuous running and had to ask 3 times before it was fixed. Coffee packets were not replenished. Some of the loungers on the beach were broke and not removed. Waiter service on the beach and around the pool was very slow. The contract lifeguard service was more consumer friendly and helpful - more than the staff itself. We enjoyed 2 of the chefs at the Japanese restaurant but found most restaurant staff unfriendly."
