"My husband and I went on a 3 night getaway - which we greatly needed from the hassle of work. We had a blast! The shuttle to the airport was no hassle. Once we got to the hotel we were assigned our hotel room in less than 15 minutes. We missed breakfast but had a wonderful lunch. All the staff was very friendly. When we went there was a beauty pageant which was good and the tribute to Michael Jackson was a nice highlight to our time there. Make reservations on the day you come in. The steakhouse shrimp and fish were really good. We plan to make this our regular little get away. Oh by the way, for those non-drinkers like me try the French Kiss!"

"I went with a group of 9 girls from work. We had a fabulous time. The rooms were very clean and large. I found the resort to be very nice. We had no problems with anything at the resort. I am going back next month with my family. The beach is nice and the water is calm, which is nice for people with young children. "

"My husband and I celebrated our 30th anniversary at Riu. From check-in to check-out, the staff was wonderful, friendly, helpful, courteous. Whether it was housekeeping, gardening, bellboy, any staff member would look you in the eye and be happy to answer any question. In a nutshell, the place is beautiful and clean. There is a wide variety of food and drink. There is entertainment every night, some of the shows are more elaborate than others. There is a free shuttle to a nearby shopping center and also to a club in Montego Bay Town. There are lots to do and places to relax. The ocean view is beautiful. The only down-side is if you are a serious sea-bather, this is a man-made beach and there is a lot of seaweed after you get in for more than 5 feet into the water. The pool is very large and beautiful though. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would now like to visit other Riu hotels."

"Although my stay had several issues, starting with the tub continuously filling with water as i showered. They were never able to fix the drain in the tub and i was there 4 days! Also my 'ocean-view' was just that, a view. If you leaned your head and ducked down a bit that is. Opt for the ocean front, it's got a great view. But i won't count that against them because what i lacked in being able to see the sea, it made up for with a view of the numerous pools. I must admit I've stayed at a Hyatt Resort and Spa and the rooms were much better, the beds were a bit too firm for my taste. But you can't beat this staff here. When I called about something and they were there in less than 15 minutes. If it wasn't for the staff, although young and most seemed to be inexperienced at times (maintenance), I wouldn't recommend this resort to anyone. So big thanks to Ricardo (front desk) Shikera (Spa appointments) and Issac (the shuttle driver) for making this a place i'd visit again. Also the nightly entertainment was fun and the club DJ was great. "

"The RIU is one great hotel. Staff was very friendly, food-plenty of it and tasty. I am recommending this hotel to everyone. Easy access to hip strip and Rose Hall shopping center. This is one beautiful large hotel. Entertainment was good, this place has something for everyone. Rooms are clean, grounds are well kept, service was very good. If you are still thinking about booking a Jamaican vacation, Book The RIU."

"I have to admit this was my first experience with A Riu Hotel. The hotel itself was extremely well kept for cleanliness inside room and outside with the most friendly staff I have seen anywhere. The food was the best we could ever ask for,,,Gained 10 lbs in 1 week. The drinks were always more than I ever wanted and even asked the staff to cut them down verses wanting more. The entertainment which I recommend to anyone well,,,,kept us going every nite providing the drinks were slowed down on my part,,,,the steel drums and the break dancers ,the ones that spin around and flip and do all the things anyone wished they could do was just spectacular to watch. I recommend this hotel to anyone, I don't think you could ever be disappointed going here and I travel a lot of places. Also before i go the there were a lot of tours provided that even made the trip more enjoyable,just check them out.Go for it,,, you won't be disappointed."

"Our trip was very good and organized. The Staff at the Riu was very good with the exception of a few that seemed like were in training because this was only open a month when we visited. The variety of food was a little repetitious but good. The overall experience was very pleasant."
