Liz and Peter from Rochester, New York had this to say:
"We recently went to the grand palladium resort in Jamaica and had the best time, we enjoyed meeting the people, and learning about a new culture. The resort was beautiful and we were treated special by everyone, they all work very hard to satisfy the visitors. We were impressed by our beautiful Jr Suite and the cleanliness. The food and entertainment is outstanding also, we will be going back within a year and looking forward to it! "

Mala from Orlando, FL had this to say:
"My husband and I stayed at this resort on our second trip to Jamaica. Although it was located in the middle of nowhere, it was absolutely beautiful. The room took my breath away with the marble floors and the jacuzzi in the middle of the room. The food was excellent. I would recommend bringing a big cup with you to carry around for drinks because the cups they provide are small. The drinks are incredibly delicious and it seemed like each bartender had their own special. Premium alcohol was offered in the bar above the Indian restaurant. BE PREPARED TO WALK! This resort is huge and the only complaint my husband and I had was all the walking. On the plus side, we walked off some of the food we ate! Look around for the small private beaches if you`re looking for a little romance. There are a few of them and there is just enough room for two! "

"I stayed there in April 2009 with my cousin and we has a blast. It was a bit cold at about 69 degrees for two days. The resort was one of Jamaica's finest. The food was great with all different ethnic kinds. Even though I am a vegetarian , I got to taste many different flavors. The smoothie bar at breakfast was refreshing and a real eye opener. The staff was the best! Anytime I called staff, they were there in five minutes. I recommend this hotel to any first timer. I will return"

Stacey from Ypsilanti, MI had this to say:
"We just came back from Grand Palladium (11/6-8, 2009) from a quick 2night /3day stay. The resort is beautiful, we didn't have too many complaints, other than it is out of the way and you have to take a tour or taxi to go anywhere, which i did not like. Also the A/C did not get very cool until the day we were leaving. We did not encounter any rude staff members, everyone was extremely nice, it is true that the face towels were hard to come by, although after leaving a tip for the maid we had them the next morning. The buffet restaurant Negril was good although the milk and orange juice was warm each morning. The babyback ribs at Bubba's Steakhouse were terrible, just a big chunk of fat. Overall it is very nice just not a lot to do."

FRANK from jacksonville florida, Florida had this to say:
"We have visited Jamaica (at other resorts) on three prior occasions. This place is IT! A great value for the money room, food, drinks, daytime activity - nighttime activity is a little below par however. We are going back. Local excursions are not that much. Staff was great. This is a resort where many people go back on repeated visits."

Justin from parkton, MD had this to say:
"I took my wife to Jamaica to celebrate her 30th birthday and our trip was simply amazing. We had a wonderful time staying at the Grand Palladium. We only stayed for 3 nights, but we would have definitely stayed longer. From the get go, we were impressed. The hotel setting was spectacular. The open entry way over looking the ocean, the huge stone pillars, the long staircase. You couldn't ask for anything better to get you started. We went from Oct 2-5 so it was during their rainy season and our first day, it poured pretty good for about 2 hours, but it then passed. And only for a brief time did it rain again the rest of our stay. The weather was perfect. 75 during at night and 90 during the day. October was a great time, because the hotel was only about 25% filled, which meant no lines for food or drinks or beach towels. The hotel grounds offer a lot to everyone. They even have a kids section. The staff treated us very well. In fact they upgraded us to a honeymoon suite because the main pool was closed. They were working on it to build walls so that if they need to repair certain sections, they don`t have to close the entire pool. Which at the time, nobody was aware of it. Once we learned of this, we called the manager and asked to be compensated which ended us in the honeymoon suite, which was again simply amazing. The suite was right on the ocean. It had a king bed, a huge jacuzzi tub and a shower that was outside. The staff definitely made us feel important, by understanding our frustration. The only negative thing I would say about Jamaica and to no fault of their own is once you get away from the resort the people can get aggressive. Asking for money is common everywhere and if you only tip $1 they think you are cheap. But if you were to go to a village which we did through a horse back riding excursion, you will understand their situation. They don`t have the best of lives. Makes you really appreciate what you have. All in all, Jamaica and the Grand Palladium was absolutely wonderful. My wife and I would come back in a heartbeat."

Chris & Julie from Atlanta, Ga had this to say:
"Just returned from a weeks stay 09/19/09 and had a nice time. Lots of construction taking place all over the resort. Staff is the nicest we have ever encountered at a resort and hands down the friendliest. Rooms are nice, spacious but beds are not that comfortable. Food was good in specialty places, but just okay in the buffet. Some foods on buffet were there all three meals and its nice to have more variety. Our room was overlooking a pool under construction and we were moved to a much nicer room two days later. Overall, it was a very nice, clean resort with a great staff. They need to be more upfront about how much construction is going on."

"We had an awesome time! Don`t let any review fool you, the resort is the largest and the first one from the airport its 45 minutes away from the airport but before you know it you are there already. The people there are very friendly and honest. About the pools yes they need a little work but why swim in a pool when you have the entire beach to yourself, it was great. I would definitely visit it again. The food was wonderful and the service as well. "

Ms. B from Atlanta, Ga. had this to say:
"My boyfriend and I visited the resort the 12-17th of June. We lost a couple of days due to travel times.. Arrived 1:30pm at airport but arrived at resort late afternoon because of rush hr traffic and left resort 4 am for return flt to US.First site of resort was GRAND just as name says. Overall it was an excellent experience. We were treated extremely well especially when workers realized my boyfriend was Jamaician. Plus tipping goes a long way. Food was nice in buffets or ala carte. Ms Lou bar was extremely nice. Only place with some top shelf liquior. Relaxing atomosphere, great hospitality. Shouts out to Romaine, Christine, and Saneka (i may have misspelled..I still love your earrings smile.) Some of the fall backs were nasty the attitudes by tour hostess Sharlyn(Jbl tours I believe, first tour desk) and also a female from Chukka horseback riding tour. . Pls ask question about refunds should you change your mind about a tour. AC in room wasnt working well but ok, ceiling was dripping from room above but fixed in a timely manner. ..(not in room much during day) refrig not cold didnt even chill well, didnt matter much since so many bars available. :) ..) Very nice room jr suite with view of ocean. Beautifal sunrise for beach. Alot of people spent all of their time without even leaving resort.. Always something to do. I would return in a heartbeat!"

Carrie from New York, New York had this to say:
"My boyfriend and I just returned from our trip to Lucia, Jamaica, and we had a very nice time. It was my first time, and my boyfriend's second. The Grand Palladium resort is beautiful; however there were small inconveniences throughout the trip. We arrived at the resort at 12:30pm, and they would not let us check in until 3pm, even though we had flown in from New York. Three o'clock came, and the reception desk told us that our room was not ready yet, that we would have to wait longer. After making a bit of a stink at about 3:30, they gave us the room key and told us that we had been waiting so long because our room did not get clean pillowcases yet! Therefore, we wound up wasting most of the first day as we were not able to change and enjoy the beach and pool until about 4pm.The shower is cheaply constructed and falls apart in your hand if you attempt to adjust the 'adjustable' shower head. Not a big deal obviously, just unexpected for a new resort. I also was a bit uncomfortable with the fact that both the main room doors as well as the terrace door have only one flimsy lock on them, seeing as we were on the first floor of our villa. Most of the staff members were very friendly, hardworking people; however, some of the pool bartenders couldn't be bothered with serving anyone other than a young 20-something girl that looks good in a bikini. My boyfriend and I even overheard some of the bartenders asking girls for their room numbers and trying to arrange a meeting with them later on. With this exception, the staff was extremely friendly, walking around singing, dancing, and at your call. The beach is not very big and is a bit rocky. The water in this area was also full of seaweed, resulting in us not spending much time on the beach at all. We wound up spending most of our time in one of the very clean, warm swimming pools. The food was excellent, as were the drinks. The stores had some very nice souvenirs. The resort itself was located in a nice area of Jamaica, further away from the seedy neighborhoods and more out into the country. Also, beware: if you are traveling from the US, you cannot bring any alcohol that you may buy in the resort liquor store back with you. We were told by a tour guide as well as the staff in the liquor store that we could buy alcohol there and have no problems bringing it back, but we wound up being forced to dump it in the Montego Bay airport, as it was not allowed past security. There is a duty-free liquor store in the airport though that is MUCH cheaper than the resort, and you can bring alcohol on the plane from this store. Overall, we had a very nice, relaxing time. However, we both agreed that although this resort was beautiful and served its purpose, we will save more money so we can afford to stay at a nicer resort next time, such as the one in Negril that my boyfriend stayed in the first time he went to Jamaica. It seems that you get what you pay for. Be ready to go on 'Jamaica time,' as there are no clocks anywhere and things are at a very slow, relaxed pace, a hard transition for two people from New York City! If you need to relax, this is a sufficient place to go. Be sure to find Cleon, as he is a very nice guy who makes great drinks! PS: The water is also safe to drink; although they give you bottled water at the reception desk if you request it. Also, one bar did run out of rum at one point, which we found strange. Everything also closes very early, and there was no source of food (no restaurant, buffet, room service of any kind) past about 11pm or so. They also do not serve top-shelf liquor, which other resorts in the area do. My boyfriend stayed at the Grand Lido the first time, and said none of the above-mentioned inconveniences occurred there."

Barbara from Olathe, Kansas had this to say:
"Don't pay attention to the negative reviews! We had a great time. The staff is friendly, the rooms are large and clean. We had all of the washcloths we wanted, and if you needed something, all you had to do was call reception. The food was good, fresh fruit, vegetables, pasta, sandwich material, hamburgers etc. Any kind of food you could ever want. Yes, there are a few tiles missing from the pools, but you can spot them and avoid injury. A special thank you to the Dive shop staff, Mixie(sp), Krazy Kenesha! Captain John, Keegan, Justin, and the dive master Hugo. My husband and I had the best time! Oh, yes, and Omar at Bubba's was exceptional!"
