"I have seen several 'bad' emails about bookit.com and scams but I did not encounter such a issue. In fact they worked with me to me sure I could use my skymiles for the airfare part of the package price. We had great customer service - although I did ask a million questions. We selected Pebbles as our location due to the fact we had been to Jamaica previously without our kids and stayed in Negril -great place for adults but not much to do for the kids. We traveled with not quite 2 year old twins on our vacation in Jan 2008. We had nanny - which the kids still remember when they watch the video. She was incredible! A great lady who thought of our children first. She helped make sure we had sunblock on them, food in their bellies and something to drink all the time so they didn`t get dehydrated. In fact the beach staff was just as incredible about making sure the kids always had something to drink. Since my husband works for Marriott we of course were aware this wasn`t a 5 star resort when we booked, however the stars should be based on service and friendliness of its employees. If that was the case it would have been a 5 star resort no problem. We had the time of our lives and realized that vacations are just as much fun with kids as they were before we had them. I loved FDR Peebles and plan on returning soon. As others suggest bring bug spray but overall a very memorable vacation. Make sure to tip your nannies well, they deserve every penny you give them!"

"This was the perfect place for my family. As a grandmother with 4 grandchildren ranging in ages from 14 to 1 year, its not easy to find a vacation everyone enjoys.. BUT FDR Pebbles made that happen there were activities for everyone. The nannies are the best. We felt like we were party of a bigger family the staff is so kind. We left feeling like we were leaving dear friends. Our next family gathering will be at FDR. The food was average, the rooms clean, but I have to say no one wanted to be in the room and to be honest we almost had too much fun to eat."

"We stayed at FDR Pebbles during Easter with our 3 children. Their ages are 10, 8 and 1. Originally we booked our stay at the Franklyn D resort, but ultimately switched to Pebbles. The beach is infinitely better at Pebbles. We had an opportunity to stop for lunch at the Franklyn D. Resort on our way back from an excursion. It is certainly a very nice resort, but a good beach was important to us. So Pebbles was a better fit. It is important to understand that Pebbles is not a 5 star resort. We arrived knowing it is a 3 star resort and had an absolutely wonderful time. The nannies are fantastic! All three of our children had the most wonderful time. We thought the food and drinks were wonderful. The staff was top notch. We discovered during our first night that our room was too loud for our infant. It was too close to the pool, so the staff upgraded us free of charge to an oceanfront room in the quietest section of the resort. We even hired a second nanny one day to assist with the older kids while the younger one napped. We highly recommend it for families with similar needs. It is very affordable. All nannies are assigned to a family for the duration of your stay. I called ahead because I wanted someone willing to work late at night. The nannies are expected to work late. It is a part of their job. Please remember to tip your wonderful nanny well! Our older children were so happy there. The nannies work together and match them with other children their age. My daughter still speaks with her friend in Ohio! The kids` programs are fantastic. We highly recommend hiking up Dunn River Falls and horseback riding. "

"We just returned from our great trip to FDR Pebbles. We had so much fun and can't say enough good things about the place. The staff is so friendly and helpful. They obviously care about their guests. By the end of the second day everyone knew my kid's names, what they liked to drink at dinner and that my toddler liked a cup of ice at meals (it cooled him off!). The rooms were nothing to look at (who was the decorator??) but the view of the sea on one side of the balcony was gorgeous and the pool area on the other was fun. And I could go on about how great the vacation nanny was. Wow that alone made the vacation. My kids adored our nanny Cheryl and wanted to stay in Jamaica and live with her! As a single parent I was able to relax and know my kids were having fun too. Be sure to bring bug spray and after bite since the mosquitos can be a bit rough (hey it is a tropical place!) and also a bunch of white T-shirts. The kids tye dye every afternoon and we brought home some beautiful creations. Anyway we loved the place so much we are going back this fall! This is the perfect family vacation and you will be so happy you chose this place - we are!"
