It's rare that the actual presentation of a property is better than the curated images on a website, but Round Hill is such a place. It's even rarer that a luxury resort catering to a largely US market is both stylish and unpretentious. Again, Round Hill shines. To add to the depth of the experience, Round Hill has a history other resorts can only dream about. The staff, the food, the location ... all fabulous. Pity it's so far from Australia.

My husband and I visited Round Hill for a weekend wedding. Although we were there a short time, we absolutely loved it! The staff is beyond friendly and the grounds are beautiful. It was hard to leave! The room had a view of the pool and ocean. There was a wall AC unit, but we rarely turned it on; the breeze from the ocean was perfect. AND no mosquitos when we were there!! Only con was that it is very pricey....and watch out for surprise, additional fees/taxes when you check out.

We have been to many resorts and nothing compares to Round Hill. From the accommodations to the top service and amazing food. This is by far our favorite spot yet. The staff go out of their way to make your vacation perfect and the property is incredible. Would highly recommend. And, stay in a villa if you can. They are amazing!

Great, nicely secluded group of villas minutes from the airport, albeit a bit pricey if you are a solo traveler. Everything is a la cart and as always in and around the Caribbean, pricing is somewhat "fluid". Pictures are from one of the villas, as well as from around the fitness center.

When I arrived at Round Hill, I wasn't sure what to expect, but once I arrived, I knew instantly that my stay would be a pleasant one. I haven't found any pictures online that truly capture the magnificence of Round Hill. The staff were ALL AWESOME! I could not have asked for better service. The grounds were well maintained. The villas and rooms were exceptionally clean. The restaurants were very nice and the food was impressive. I really had no reason to leave the resort if I didn't want ... Read more

Once the gates open to Round Hill it was pure paradise!! Amazing view coming into the resort, with beautiful cottages and villas nestled on the hill. Greeted with Jamaican rum punch and easy check in. Our room was really hot on first arrived and I almost left, but after a couple hours it cooled off, then I was able to take in the beauty of our cottage. The cottage was antiquely beautiful, with gorgeous marble throughout. Beautiful outside shower and sitting room that overlooked the ocean. The ro... Read more

There is no better word for Round Hill than paradise. The ocean was wonderful to swim in, as was the pool. The beach was beautiful, the bars and restaurants always provided excellent service, the food was absolutely delicious, there was not one dish I did not find delicious. My family stayed in a villa and it was kept clean and beautiful every single day. Everyone was so friendly and kind, and were always willing to help. Not a single complaint comes to mind when I think of my stay at Round Hi... Read more

We reserved our room through this site because they were lying and claiming that the rate they were offering over the phone (289) was the lowest. It wasn't (259). In retaliation they gave us the worst room in a half empty hotel. I realize now that listed price is really just a starting point for them. Literally everything you pay for has multiple service charges, taxes, and extras attached. That 259 quickly became about $350. They attach a five dollar service charge to each individual thing ... This place is amazing! The staff are so friendly and helpful, the food is wonderful, and the views are insane! We can't wait to come back! The villas were perfect for couples or families. No need to even go down to the beach if you don't want to as the infinity pool with a view of the bay was steps away from the your back door. Can't wait to come back with the kids. They will have a blast!

We stayed at the Round Hill last summer and had an absolutely wonderful time. We stayed in a private villa up in the hills which was absolutely beautiful. The resort is picturesque with plenty to keep you entertained. We especially enjoyed the glass bottom boat and the massages! There are also a large number of tours available which the resort will organise for you. We did the zip-lining which was incredible! My wife and I travelled here for our honeymoon and it was the best travel decision we could've made! The hospitality is bar none - and genuinely kind, the grounds are immaculate, and the rooms are wonderfully spacious with excellent views. This is a top establishment and one we'll continue to visit.

Round Hill is a premiere resort in Jamaica, and offers such a serene, peaceful and magical environment. We stayed in the guest room off Cottage/Villa 7, with a lush view, overlooking a private garden with pool. The staff is welcoming, attentive, but not smothering. The food is fantastic. We did all of the complimentary activities: glass bottom boat, catamaran, snorkeling, kayaking, and the trip to town. This is NOT a party resort. We came for a wedding, and home to return with our small children... Read more

Round Hill Hotel and Villas is one classy place The staff and management are just great. They made our stay extremely comfortable. From arrival to departure it was nothing short of perfect. The greeter Kingsley , the manager Omar, the front desk staff, breakfast staff, transportation everything was just excellent. I'll recommend Round Hill to anybody. It's a gem of a place. The manager takes care of any issues very efficiently to your satisfaction. I'll go there again.

We returned for our fourth visit to Round Hill and it continued to feel like the family friendly sanctuary we love for our vacations. We have young children and the nanny service allows us to have several free hours a day to reconnect as a couple and have a quiet meal. The property, service and food are all outstanding. A word of caution: if you do not enjoy the quiet (music only in evenings at low volume), this is not the spot for you. If you want an agenda of activities, this is also not th... Read more

I have waited to do this review because I didn't want to be negative and thought that a few months (or so) would help. It did because I came to the conclusion that the main issue with our stay was simply weather related. My advice to anyone that is accustomed to having central air conditioning would be to not go in the summer months. We stayed in a Villa and when you are used to sleeping with central air, the window air conditioners simply do not suffice considering the heat and humidity. It... Read more

My wife and I were in Montego Bay for a short trip and chose to stay at Round Hill. Over the years we have stayed at many of the big resorts on Jamaica's north coast and have heard from friends that we needed to try Round Hill. We were not disappointed; it was everything we had expected and more. The property itself is sizeable, but maintains an 'old world charm' of beautiful villas amongst lush vegetation overlooking the water. The Round Hill resort is a gem in Jamaica. Fantastic layout, great location not too far from everything, but still secluded. Service is excellent, rooms are superb. The hotel staff is helpful in planning excursions and outings. The food in the hotel is fabulous as well. The place is a little pricey but at the end well worth it.

To borrow from Michael Thomas' forward to a picture book about Round Hill, it is, for my wife HB and I, the place that bestows, when we are not there, an ineradicable yearning to return. For us, it is a respite of permanency and quiet elegance that is little found in our world today.

I have come here a few times with close friends and we always stay at a private house on the resort grounds. We are able to use the hotel facilities so I thought I'd review them. Staff are very friendly and helpful, the bars along the beach are great and the beach itself is small but the resort isn't overcrowded so it doesn't feel underwhelming. The resort has a small fitness facility and all the typical watersports/tennis courts for those looking to sweat some more.

If I could give Round Hill 6 stars, I would. I have to say that we selected this destination based on the many reviews, the easy/direct flight in and out of LAX, and the fact that Round Hill offered a boutique non-big vibe with the added bonus of childcare for our 11 month old son (which turned out to be the warmest, most loving care we could have asked for). After much back and forth, we booked 2 adjoining rooms in the Pineapple House to accommodate me, my husband and our little one. Howev... Read more
