"My stay at the Hilton Rose Hall was a positive one. Although it is not the best all inclusive that I have stayed at, I felt good about my stay overall. This was a short 3 night girl's trip. I was expecting to see a lot of children around due to the fact our trip was in mid April, however the balance of adults to children was appropriate. A quick review of my experience is as follows:

Rooms:
Rooms were clean, however basic. Not a lot of frills or decorations here. The maids came out once a day and did a great job. My only issue was the fact that the refrigerator was filled with only two waters a day. There were three of us in the room.

Staff:

The staff were a combination of very friendly to not so friendly. No real complaints here, just not as service oriented as I've seen at some other resorts. I found service to be a hit or miss.
Food:

The food was overall good. I especially enjoyed Luna di Mare. The other two reservation required restaurants were good too. It is highly recommended that you call ahead (at least 3 days in advance) to reserve if eating at any of these restaurants is important to you as I heard they were difficult to book upon arrival sometimes. Oh by the way, surprisingly the included wine wasn't so bad.
Entertainment:

I regret not being able to experience as much of the nightly entertainment as I'd have liked. I will say that I enjoyed what I saw. I didn't notice as much entertainment during the day and the activities found on the entertainment board didn't seem so appealing to adults.

Other points of interest:

There is a free shuttle nightly to Margarittaville if you'd like to get out to dance or party. There is also a complimentary shuttle for shopping. They offer complimentary internet in a certain area of the resort.

"The only reason that I did not rate the friendliness a five is because some of the
females in the Fresh restaurant did not seem friendly; along with the two female bartenders at the swim-up pool. The nightly entertainment was well suited for all ages. The tin drums show was AWESOME. We will return. The front desk staff was awesome. I know we are not suppose to tip; however, I did because I so appreciated everyone that served us well. Plenty of activities for all. The water slide was a great way to have fun and get some exercise.
We stayed in , a non smoking area with a great view of the water slide pool. They had lots of Jamaican food; for me that is great. Everyday the Jerkmo chicken cart would visit the pool area. They even serve veggie burgers at the pool bar. Most of the nightly entertainment took place on the West side of the hotel; therefore, if you retire early, you may want to choose the East building. The east building will have sunlight shining through before 6am. Not a problem for me. All of the public restrooms were clean upon all of my infrequent uses.The drinks were varied and good. I cannot say one bad thing about this hotel or my experience. I would love to return for a group trip.
There is one last thing: has more to do with the guest than the staff...Too many smokers gather near the swim-up bar and during the evening shows; even though there were signs that stated no smoking."

"We really had a wonderful trip. We had an oceanfront room and it was very nice. The rooms are very clean and comfortable though not as large as some other all inclusive resorts we have visited at other islands. The grounds are gorgeous and constantly being cleaned and all the staff were very friendly and accomodating. They served us drinks and food no matter where we were sitting and there were always plenty of chairs. The pool was enormous and very nice. The lazy river and water slides were a blast and mostly used by grown ups! The beach is the only thing that was disappointing. The beach itself was nice and the waves were perfect but it was not the clear carribean water you might expect. I believe it must be a man made beach and it seemed that the sand swirled there. It didn't get in your bathing suit but it made the water sandy/cloudy. Also we wore aqua shoes and I am glad we did as we did encounter some rocks and pebbles. Overall a very relaxing vacation. They had music every evening. I would recommend you make as many reservations to eat in their restaurants as you can. The food in the restaurants was great and the palms had the best atmosphere also. The buffet was good and the fresh omelets and french toast were very good. We also played some games on the grounds which was fun and good exercise and there is a lot of area for walking around. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation and if you have children, this is a great place. We did not have children with us but the children did not disturb us at all. They were fun to watch."
