"When we first got there, it took is a little bit to get on 'Jamaican time' (what we called it); everyone was very laid back and didn't seem to be concerned with much of anything, however, once we got some great food and drinks in us, we started enjoying the place a lot! The shows were very entertaining, the staff was wonderful, and the drinks we awesome. We weren't very impressed with the room, but we were only in it long enough to shower and sleep. The beaches were a little rocky, but still very beautiful. We have been all over the Caribbean and have enjoyed everywhere we have been, but I would have to say that this place (Jamaica in general) was one of the best we have ever stayed at!!

"I'm not usually much of a complainer, but the service was HORRIBLE! Who cleans your room then doesn't give you any towels or washcloths? Also, they advertise stocked bottled water in the fridge every day, we would have to call to get some, and they still wouldn't bring it! We would have to go to guest services to get it. The initial room they gave us was like a dungeon, and smelled damp, the safe was broken, the shower leaked into the hallway, the AC was broken, and it still took a night and a LOT of complaining for them to move us. The second room, the AC leaked and the door wouldn't shut unless you slammed it. Also, times to get food were kind of hard to follow. Not late enough. Not much of a nightlife, as the piano bar was closed, and nothing to do until 11pm when the disco would open.
One of beaches was beautiful, though, and the pool was always clean. Food was so-so, not much variety. Most of the workers were happy and smiling in traditional Jamaican style.
All in all, I wouldn't go back, and I don't recommend this place."

"Pros:

We had a gret time there. Food was perfect. Loved the room and bed. Had a good time. great Spa. Terrific coffee. Staff was lovely. Pools are clean. Beaches are clean and water is warm. Great vacation for the price. Only don't go in august. It is too hot and no air except in rooms.

Cons:

The receptionist and reception was the worst ever. The girl that greeted us, (If you could call why we experienced, a greeting.) was not in the slightest bit interested in us or our arrival. There was no introduction to the facility. No directions. No map. No instructions. No offer of services. No offer of money exchange. No offer of amenities. No indication of dining times, etc. No help at all, only handed us our envelop and sent us off with a baggage handler. Just based on the reception alone, I would not go back. She should be fired!

There is no 24 hour food service. At best it is 18 hours. This is shown clearly by the information provided with this review request, above.

The only air conditioning is in the rooms. Everything else is outside in open air. It was extremely hot most of the time, we were there (90s). Only other place we had air conditioning was in one of the restaurants.

A tropical storm came through while we were there. Mysteriously the WiFi and Cable TV services just stopped working until the storm passed by. I am going to say it was deliberate to keep us of seeing where the storm was."
