Front desk exceptionally friendly and helpful! We were met at the water taxi stop!! Room was very small but clean, did have to climb a few steps but we did not have to carry bags!! Windows DO open! 5minute walk to St. Marks Square! breakfast was cold but plentiful and the coffee was hot! As a travel agent, i will be recommending this hotel to my clients!

The Hotel Kette is on a side street about five minutes from Piazza San Marco and within easy walking distance of the Accademia bridge. I was there a week and found it really nice, if perhaps not quite the "four star" hotel it purports to be. The staff are admirably competent and the hotel is wonderfully clean. My room looked out on a side canal where activity began early in the morning, but I loved the noise. I really cannot recommend this hotel sufficiently.

Hotel Kette is a beautiful hotel just 5 minutes walk to St Marco square. First off like most buildings in Venice building is +400 years old so this presents some interesting construction elements. There is a elevator, however you may still take a few stairs to get to your floor. There is a classic waiting room with chairs, magazines, papers and wifi/tv. We arrived very early, and our room wasn't ready (9am) the staff was apologetic and stored our luggage while we were out for the day. We s... Read more

Good hotel. Staff really friendly and very helpful gave us a good welcome. The rooms were clean and spacious. . good location. Good breakfasts. The only issue was the Night Man on the desk who is in the wrong job, no people skills at all. Apart from that, we had a lovely stay. Will visit again.

We have used this hotel many times and always found it to be excellent. It is very close to St Mark's Square,3 or 4minutes away, but tucked away on a quiet canal. The hotel is very comfortable and spotless.Breakfasts offer a wide variety off excellent food and all-round service is simarilyof a high standard.Having a watergate for boat transfers too the hotel and back to the airport is an advantage.

Fantastic arriving by water taxi right to the door. The bar didn't stay open very late and the night porter was pretty grumpy but the day staff were fabulous, really welcoming and helpful. Very comfortable hotel very convenient for St Marks Square. Really traditional which is what we wanted.

This is a very nice hotel, not a big hotel like in other cities in Italy. It's Venice and it a boutique type hotel. On the medium size but well equipped. Room was a good size and most important clean. Nice breakfast, friendly staff and a very good location. The cool thing was taking the water taxi from the train station to your hotel driving down the Grand Canal. My wife didn't like the hair dryer. Bring your own.

Stayed for 2 nights in May. We had a room on the 3rd floor with a window looking down on to a canal. It was very pleasant when the singing gondoliers were passing! The room was clean, comfortable and a reasonable size. The air conditioning didn't seem to work too well. Breakfast was good, but a bit repetitive. The staff were friendly. It is a fairly small hotel, with lots of character, best described as shabby chic, definitely not modern, but very Italian. Wi-fi was free and excellent. There was... Read more

I stayed for 2 nights in this hotel with mixed reviews. The location was good and some of the staff were helpful but many I found were arrogant! My room was very average (on the first floor) and not worth the money paid. Also there seemed to be a pump either beside or below my room that turned itself on and off regularly all night. Breakfast was also very average. Overall, not good value for money.

It was more than I expected. I had been told to expect tiny rooms and tiny bathrooms. It was a nice size room and bathroom. The location is awesome. It was just far enough from San Marco Square to be away from the massive amounts of people. The room was clean, staff was friendly, and accommodating. The few reviews I've ready that were not good must have the wrong expectations bc it was exactly as I expected but better. Very pleased with the hotel and would stay again.

We spent four nights at Kette Hotel prior to commencing a cruise. It is a nicely located hotel away from the busyness of Piazza San Marco. Rooms are a reasonable size with table and two chairs for in room dining or sitting to read. Okay, it wasn't so bad for Venice. There are nicer hotels I'm sure, but for the price and especially the location, it was solid value.
