Just checked in. Rude unhelpful staff. Arrogant. Accused us of lying over booking a twin room for 1 person. Charged an extra ?90. Treating us like idiots now. Would be staying else where if we could! Pushed us out the way to serve someone else!

Breakfast was bad, poor selection and quality and the kitchen was super loud. The kitchen woke us up at 6 am, the bed was Aweful but it was a king. No views from the room either. It was cheap and a good location but their has to be a better place to stay for that price.

TV did not get one channel that worked, stained carpet, unfinished and taped fire alarm wires, poor quality mattresses, disturbing noisy to sleep with window slightly open ( very sultry loft room with it closed), not even a little water bottle or kettle for a cup of tea or coffee. The only positives were the bubbly lady that greet us at arrival and departure plus the location for San Marco. Left with the sense of that only profit matters for this business.

This was our first time in Venice and we chose this place because it was in a good location and it was affordable. Considering we were only staying one night we were willing to settle for a 3 star hotel. Luckily I looked at pictures of the front of this hotel before arriving in Venice because the entrance door is just a small corner of a busy walking area. The man at the front desk that checked us in was very nice. He had to walk us out the door, around the corner of the building, unlocked on... Read more

Booked this hotel for 3 days. This hotel had the most uncomfortable beds. No room for luggage. Very difficult to even open our suitcase. TV did not work at all and was told it did. Location was great but that's all.

This hotel is just a short 2min walk from St Marks Sq. Use S. Maria del Giglio, ferry stop, one minute walk and one bridge from ferry stop. Can access both Railway, bus station and Airport from this stop. Hotel staff was very nice and helpful, place was clean and buffet was good for a continental breakfast style. Our room was in the main building and was adequate, bathroom was nice and spacious, remembering that european hotels rooms are smaller that N, America. The view was not the best basica... Read more

We had some difficulty locating the hotel as there was no sign. However once we did the welcome was warm and this continued throughout our stay. Our room was small but you don't go to Venice to sit in a room. The location is perfect in regard to all main attractions. Each day after a fine breakfast we were able to set off to explore wonderful Venice.

The hotel is in a brilliant location (easy access to all the sights and the train station etc) and is great value for money. The staff are really friendly too. Our room was a good size and very clean, but the bed wasn't very comfortable. Breakfast is extremely basic and the coffee isn't good at all! I would definitely recommend the hotel though.

I just returned from a Mediterranean cruise that left from and returned to Venice. We chose to stay at the Hotel Torino for our extra day at the end of the cruise. We really loved this hotel. First of all the staff at check-in, during our stay and when we were leaving were very welcoming and helpful. The hotel, like all hotels in Venice, is old but well cared for and maintained. Our room was spacious and the perfect size for three people. The beds were very firm but comfortable and the bat... Read more

The rooms are quite small but very clean with everything you need. Breakfast was typical continental and you had to ask for some things the later you went. The best bit was the location for the price. It is 5 minutes from St Marks square and the same to the water buses. The lift was extremely slow moving but ok if you can use stairs

We are really disappointed in this hotel experience. Our AC unit was stuck on low mode and produced very little cool air - creating a sticky and warm room for three days. The front desk guy came up to look at it said its fine and left. The hotel bed was stiff as a board and very uncomfortable. The bathroom had a sewage stank that would be very present every time the maid closed the door, and overall the room looked ran down and dirty. Furthermore, the continental breakfast was limited. Centrally located and easy to find by Google map. The room is nice with a big bed and a nice bathroom with a shower. Tv Chanel's all Italian speakers. Still, recommended and consider, Venezia was developed a few centuries ago and with an unusual history that should be studied before visiting.

Visited with my daughter for a long weekend in a very hot period in July. We found the hotel with no problems at all a two or three minute walk from the Giglio stop on the vapporetto straight from the airport. The entrance was small but impressive, in fact I'd say the same for everything about the hotel. Our room was compact, which was a blessing as it took no time at all for the air-con to cool the room down . The en-suite was again compact but well appointed with a shower and bidet, supplied w... Location of the hotel is absolutely perfect. Our room was 3-star room, bathroom 4-star. Worked just fine for 2 nights visit and on holiday there is no reason to stay in room. Worked for sleeping and shower, but did not give any wow factor. I would not pay any more than 150 euros for night. Breakfast buffet was ok standard, in really small room.

My husband and I booked a trip to Italy and we had the worst experience with Central Holidays. The hotels were horrible, to say the least. No information was given regarding the rail passes and we even got fined for our passes to Cinque De Terre. The last hotel (The Torino) was so bad that our room was no larger than 10x10 and the mattress was so old that we felt every spring. We would have slept on the floor if there was enough room for us! My very calm husband got the great idea of piling a bu... Read more

This hotel is in a great location. 5-15 min walk to most popular spots in Venice, including St Marks Square. However, we were pretty disappointed with our room. The bed wasn't comfortable. We could feel every spring in the mattress. The pillow was so flat I had to use my neck pillow I use for the plane as extra cushion. The shower was very small and inconvenient.

Great placement and friendly staff. Would have appreciated bottled water for the breakfast, and better espresso. Wifi was very stable. The hotel is close to a water bus stop, and only a couple of minutes walk from st Marco square. The design of the rooms are awesome, but beware of carpeted floors at least in some of the rooms. (Not great for allergies). Considering the price we feel that we got a lot out of our stay, and would definately stay here again!

This hotel was amazing for location. We didn't need to get a boat anywhere, everything was within walking distance. The room we had was lovely too, the bathroom was wonderful with a powerful shower! The breakfast was continental just I would have loved to be offered tea rather than feel I'm pestering the waitress for hot water and milk. Also, at breakfast maybe some light music would help the atmosphere, it's completely silent! We loved that they looked after our baggage after checking out becau... Read more

This was the worst room I have ever seen in my life! The walls were cracked and growing mold! The smell was so strong from them covering up the mold that my lungs were struggling to breathe. All of the electricity(Air, lights etc) was dependent on this button that the hotel manager had to keep pressing to stay on. He said to just keep holding it for air....unbelievable! We did not stay here and hotel Torino said that we could get a refund from Expedia. They lied bc they wrote a nasty email... Read more

Firstly can i just say that we only stayed ne night, and the family room was of a good size. Overall the hotel decor is not to everyone taste and needs some repair. It was comfortable and within a few minute walk from the water taxi drop off and to St Marks Square. Good but not great, but defitinley not bad

Check-In was fine and was told to pay city taxes upon check-in. However, no receipt will be given though I requested for it. As it turns out, when I checked out, I was told it was not paid and the staff even called his colleague on the day I checked in to check if I paid, she said no. Fortunately, the staff on duty acknowledged that I paid. As I was leaving early, the staff on duty accommodated to my request for early breakfast at 7am (normally 730am). Overall, service was good The room was fin... Read more

Location was very good, just a few minutes walk from St. Mark's square. Easy to walk from the Vaporetto, even with suitcases. Our room was located in what they called the "Annex", and the entrance was just around the corner. Room and bathroom was OK for a short stay (we were only there for one night), but unfortunately our AC didn't work when we came back to the hotel room in the evening. The night clerk came to have a look at it, but didn't know how to fix it, so we ended up having a very uncom... Read more

Was expensive for what it was... Location great, BUT! We were put in an annex (separate block to hotel round corner). Locks got jammed one night. Windows shook everytime someone closed a door in room. Floor above was noisey. Our A/C and heater did not work. One night we wanted heating as was got cold and staff told us basically we could not have heating, as not winter. Sink was leaking all over bathroom floor- they attempted to fix, but leaked again next day. Carpet felt dirty under feet. No sin... Read more
