We managed to book this hotel just one day before travelling to Venice for a four day break... we could not have been luckier. We took a private Vapereto from Marco Polo airport to the hotel and were dropped right outside onto the Riva del Vin after travelling down the Grand Canal and going under the Rialto Bridge. This has to be one of the most spectacular ways to arrive in Venice. You enter the hotel directly into the reception/foyer. The staff were courteous, polite & efficient. Our first f... Read more

The location does not get better in the centre of Venice. This charming three star hotel is next to the Rialto bridge and has rooms overlooking the canal. The customer service from the reception is good and we went to some of their recommended restaurants which did not disappoint. The downside of this hotel is the cost (unavoidable in the centre of Venice sadly) and the pretty average breakfast. No decent coffee was a let down but the overall charm of the place meant that we certainly will be re... Read more

The hotel is in a great location near Rialto Bridge. Bathroom had a full size tub and shower which was a welcome coming from some other hotels where I couldn't move in the shower. Was a bit warm in the room and the alleyway was noisy at night with the windows open. Nice breakfast.

In late April 2016 we booked one room at Marconi just for 1 night (fortunately), and we paid ? 327 euros ! Apart from its great location, the hotel looks more a self catering old lodging, rather than an hotel! No elevator, small rooms, badly furnished, badly maintained, appailing customer service, and all this for ultra expensive overnight rate

4 night stay at the Hotel Marconi. Excellent location right on the Grand canal, a few minutes walk to the Rialto bridge and the water bus stop. Hotel was one of the cheapest price range for the area, however it was clean and well presented, fair size room with ensuite and plenty of hot water. Breakfast had a large selection of food, always a hot option as well as usual cold meats, cheese, croissants, yogurts and fruit. Staff were always cheerful and very helpful, even sent a fax for us to book a... Read more

The Hotel is located in a very strategic place, easy to reach to every where your going, either you have AC or Heating depending the season but in between you have to open the windows. the Hotel personnel is not very client oriented and they attentions are not that you expect; However I did notice that in overall in Pisa and Florence was the same aptitude, comparative to the southern part of Italy that their people like to smile and to make you feel comfortable

Disappointing! Please be informed that if you take a booking with the hotel, you have to be truly fit as I had to struggle with my knees. No lifts. Even the Breakfast area is down and up ....stairs all the way. Very strategically placed, Marconi looks very attractive to the uninitiated. The water taxi from the railway station dropped us at Ponto Rialto (7.50 Euro each, one way). Ensure you travel light in this city as steps welcome you at every corner. It was a struggle up the Rialto bridge ... Read more

Easy to find on waterbus from Marco Polo Airport .Get off at Riato and then cross the bridge. Buy a return ticket at the airport. Don't take too much luggage to Venice. The hotel is ok, no air con until June . The breakfast has everything you need. The best thing about this hotel is location right on Grand Canal and easy walking distance or waterbus ride to all sights.it is well worth buying a 2 day waterbus ticket and visiting the Islands and the Lido. Also you must travel down Grand Canal on wa... Plenty to enjoy with this place and you feel it as you enter the well maintained property. The lobby is a old style oasis and staffed by very friendly helpful represetatives. The rooms are a mix of old traditional effects (like antique glass light fixures) and the new bathroom and television. There is no doubt that you'll get exercise as you move your suitcase into Venice....and then up to your room. But you can get help if you ask. You should show up to Venice with your city pass....the least a... Read more

We had a triple room, quite small but adequate. Unfortunately it was on the 4th floor with no lift. It was a challenge to go up each time. The location is fantastic- on the waterfront with lots of restaurants and very close to everything. Had to get water taxis as land access is not possible. Pleasant, typically Venetian hotel.

Where to begin? We arrived early on 6/23 and were told our room wasn't ready. We understood and said we'd leave our luggage and go out for lunch. This is the first hotel I have ever been to where the lobby simply reeked of cigarette smoke. Just dreadful. We came back later and were told our room still wasn't ready. We said we'd just wait in the lobby until it was available. Magically the woman at the front desk said she DID have our room after all. We followed the bellman (who was great) up 18 s... Read more

This was the worst hotel. The entrance is run down and smells of stale smoke and cheap wine. The room was small - only 1 ft around the bed. The view overlooked the alley and was very noisy at 6 AM when the staff was putting trash in the alley. The breakfast was awful. The rolls and bread were burnt; milk for cereal was warm and coffee was not drinkable. We had to go elsewhere for breakfast. The wifi did not work - it was so slow that we used the nearby restaurant wifi. The staff was rude... Read more

Hotel Marconi is in a great location. Access from the water taxi with lots of luggage may be a challenge to some as there are many bridges and the hotel itself does not have a lift (only stairs). The rooms are small which is not surprising as most hotel rooms in Europe are. The breakfast is the best I had, out of all my hotels on my Italy trip. Overall this hotel was excellent!

Stayed here for two nights in a triple room. Cons: - No lifts so you need a room on the lower floor ideally - A few problems: a broken door lock and lost electricity, but both were quickly resolved by the staff. - If you arrive by the water taxi, it will drop you off opposite the hotel which means you'll have to cross Rialto bridge with all your luggage which can be challenging if you have a lot. Pros: - Location: being centrally located means you can walk anywhere within 15 mins, including ... Read more

The hotel is centrally located near the Rialto bridge with lots of restaurants nearby. The bathrooms are quite large (with bathtub). There are several water taxi and water bus stops close to the hotel entrance. The air conditioner worked very well which was great for the extremely hot summer days. We enjoyed our stay here.

This hotel has the best location you could ask for and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was a bit on the small side but that is to be expected in any central city hotel. Exploring Venice was easy from this hotel and nowhere was far away. The hotel was beautiful and well kept and breakfast was excellent!

Stayed for 5 nights. No lift and no disabled access. Stairs may prove difficult for the elderly. However, this hotel is ideally located with the Ponte Di Rialto just outside the front door. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Everything was very clean and well maintained. Buffet breakfast was satisfactory. Rooms are quite large

We chose to end our Italian vacation with three days in Venice. Hotel Marconi had a reaonable price and an ideal location - few meters from Rialto Bridge, central in the old city and with easy access to Valporettos, river taxis and godolas. The hotel is old, small and somewhat worn. But the staff is friendly and helpful. The breakffast buffet is sufficient, but just that.

Hotel Marconi is located near The Rialto Bridge an excelent location! It's a traditional hotel, small rooms but cleanly. They don't have much options to the breakfast but it's ok. After the every day s trip, we sleep very well. It isn't a noisy hotel . However, the great central location, is an excelent reason to stay there with a normal budget.

As part of our summer family tour of Italy, Venice was our second stop. We took the train from Rome to get to Venice. Upon arrival we took the water bus line 2, leaving every 10 minutes, to the Rialto - Bridge Stop at 100 meters from the hotel [information was provided to us by the hotel]. The hotel entrance was rather obscure [small] and the reception place was old and compact, and I must admit I was rather concerned of what to come next. When we finally were in our room [designed to accommodat... Read more

We recently stayed one night at hotel Marconi before leaving on a cruise. If your looking for access to the Grand Canal and a lot of the tourist sights this is a great place. It did have ac which was a plus and the room was decent. They did have breakfast but I believe you have to pay for breakfast which we didn't, we wanted to enjoy breakfast on the canal. The Rialto Bridge is literally right out the door although it is currently under construction:( all in all it was a good stay for the night.... Read more
