Stayed for 2 nights after our cruise and the location was perfect. It is very close to the bus terminal as well as the train station. The rooms are small but the hotel has character and the reception staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast room had a view of the canal and served a nice breakfast. Would highly receommend this hotel.

We stayed at the Hotel Arlecchino from May 6 - 9, 2016 prior to taking a cruise. We booked this hotel because of the great reviews, particularly the ease in getting to the cruise ship terminal. We weren't disappointed! The hotel is in a perfect location, regardless if you are taking a cruise or not. The service was excellent. The rooms were very clean, the complimentary breakfast was full service - lots of choices and everything was very good. There are lots of restaurants nearby and the... Read more

Stayed here the night before taking a cruise in Venice. And for that purpose, it was perfect. The hotel is walking distance from the Santa Lucia train station, where I arrived. If you do not want to carry your luggage over the bridges, you can pay one of the porters that are around Santa Lucia, and it will be an easy walk, at least for you! If you are taking a cruise, the hotel is also walking distance (closer than to Santa Lucia) to the People Mover -or tran system- that takes you in a minute t... Read more

You couldn't ask for a better location in Venice - on one of the beautiful canals & very close to the train station so it was wonderfully convenient when dealing with luggage. The room & bathroom were very nice & the staff was very helpful. A wonderful breakfast was available for a small charge. With the water bus/taxi station nearby, it was easy to use the hop on/hop off pass to quickly travel to the spectacular sites of Venice. We only stayed in this small hotel on the edge of Venice for one night but enjoyed our stay. It was conveniently located close to the train station and bus station. The breakfast offered was more than adequate. Staff were very helpful and obliging, allowing us to leave our luggage at the hotel while we went off e... Read more

Stayed here for 2 nights May 17, 18 2016. Easy to get to, superb location. Very easy walk to the train station and the people mover. Easy walk to all major attractions. Nice canal restaurant near by, gelato place just around the corner. Very nice bell boy who helped us with our luggage both in and out. Shower had no curtain, NONE. Just one block back to the People Mover to the cruise ship. The hotel offers to call a van for us which we shared with 4 others at 10 Euro each. We picked this hotel for the location near the Piazelle Roma and the cruise port based on reviews we read here. Yes, the elevator is minuscule, and the rooms are a little small, but ours on the 4th floor had a balcony and was quite adequate for us. Yes, there is no shower curtain in the shower/tub combo, but the bed was comfortable, the room immaculate, and delightfully decorated. We got breakfast included, but even if there is an extra charge, it's worth it. The desk help were friendly and h... Read more

Our family of four stayed here post Mediterranean cruise for 2 nights. We were able to get a room that slept 4 including a king sized bed for my husband and I. The hotel is conveniently located near Piazelle Roma so easy access to the cruise port, taxis to the airport and the vaporetto. One thing you often hear about in Venice is how difficult it is to find your way around, but this is not the case for Hotel Arlecchino. It is visible from the bus station and is a very easy walk over just one canal and an excellent location for exploring Venice. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. We were an extended family of six, using three small doubles, for a very brief 2-day visit. Hotel was near Piazzale Michelangelo and all its various transportation options, which was key for us. Had great breakfast. Safe in our rooms was key based, with one broken, so not used. Getting luggage to/from hotel, though not far from train station, can be problematic due to bridges, especially if travelers are getting up in years. Tip: make use of the porters at 5 Euro a bag, especially in heat.

Hotel Arlecchio was perfect for us. It was close to Piazza Roma where the buses to/from the airport arrive; where the People Mover to the port arrive; and where water taxi and gondolas pick you up. Thumbs up for location.

My husband and I stayed overnight here before our cruise. The location is excellent, only a few minutes from the People Mover, no need to hire a porter to carry your luggage. Itâ??s a bit further from the bus terminal and train station, 10-15 minutesâ?? walk if you can manage the big bridge, or hire a porter for 5 Euros per piece of luggage. Irina at the reception was outstanding. She let us store our luggage there for the day when we returned from the cruise though we didnâ??t stay at the hotel... Read more

If you are looking for a 5 Star romantic getaway, this is probably not the place for you. However, if you are looking for a reasonably priced hotel that is in a great location, this is the place. I arrived from the airport by bus (also very convenient) to the main plaza. The hotel is a 5/10 minute walk from the plaza. It is also close to cruise ships. The hotel is well run, clean and the breakfast is great.

The location of the hotel is good for those traveling on a cruise. The hotel was able to store our luggage following disembarking our cruise ship until the room was available in the early afternoon. This allowed us to enjoy exploring Venice. The room and bathroom were clean and perfect for our one night stay. It is a 16th century building so the rooms are not large, but are nicely decorated. The breakfast room was very well decorated and the food quality and selection were excellent. I woul... Read more

This hotel is old but very nice, clean and friendly staff. Close to serveral good restaurants within a short walking distance. We arrived by train, great location to walk with our luggage (all the steps a little challenging) but managed okay, porter was also available for hire if necessary. We purchased a 24 hr taxi pass which was great to get over to Murano and Burano, and also getting us up and down the Grand Canal to the various attractions. Good location also for an early departure, bus... Read more

We decided to stay here again on our return trip to Venice because we loved it so much the first time. This time was no exception. Fantastic location, short walk from bus depot/taxi stands, gondola rides, and many nice restaurants right around the corner. Room was a little small, but perfectly adequate, and price was right. Front desk staff were extremely helpful, and went out of their way to find a taxi driver to return a lost item to us. We thank them for their kindness. We hope to return on o... Read more

Great hotel, esp if you are taking a cruise out of Venice. Very close to the cruise ship terminal, as well as a bus terminal (best, cheapest access to the airport), multi-line water taxi station, and (a little farther away) the train station. Staff, esp desk staff, very nice and accomodating. Rooms (we were there before and after a cruise) were a little small for people with a bit of luggage), but well appointed. Sites and restaurants are in easy walking distance.

We had booked a Canal View room here which did give some lovely views but has a side effect of noise in the evenings. That will be something to think about when you're choosing your room here. The room was comfortable but small - typical of buildings from this era. The shower in particular was quite small but adequate. The breakfast was was good and the service was friendly. I have a few concerns about security of our items here. The safe in the room was very small and didn't look very secure... Read more

The staff was welcoming and nice. The hotel was clean but a bit old. The breakfasts were very nice and the location was perfect and made traveling easy. We had no complaints. The bed could have had a better mattress.

While the rooms are small this hotel is in a great location! The concierge were very helpful in recommending restaurants as well as giving directions. The rooms were very clean. All staff very friendly. The breakfast was very good and a good selection. This hotel is also close to the cruise terminal and our hotel was very helpful in obtaining a taxi for us.

The hotel was an okay hotel knowing we are paying for a budget hotel. Bed and pillows we're comfortable. No shower curtain however. What I didn't like at all was when we went to breakfast that really beyond disappointed me..hence the two stars. Anyways my fiancé his parents and I were eating breakfast that they offer for 3 euros. We were like, okay great deal. I went to the freshly cut tomatoes and noticed mold..yes mold. I promptly informed the waitress and only personnel helping us with break... Read more

Dates: October 6, October 17, pre and post cruise We have stayed before at the Hotel Arlecchino and had no doubts but that we would return for these nights and will again, for the following reasons: 1. PEOPLE: amazing service and courtesy, willingness to explain transportation, make suggestions, and offer solutions such as doing our flight check in and boarding passes next door at the sister hotel, Hotel Olimpia. Special thanks to the people at the front desk beginning with Irina who checked ... Read more

So I booked this hotel after reading a lot of reviews on how great this place is.... sadly was disappointed.... During the check in process my family and I did not feel welcomed, i actually felt like I was being more of trouble to the receptionist who was checking us in. Room was ok for the price we paid, did have a view of the canal which was a positive even though it's kind of on the back side of the canal. Breakfast was offered at a good rate of 3 euro! But... horribly disappointed. Mold ... Read more

Great little spot and within walking distance from main city parking garage. Pension was clean and friendly. Rooms are very small by US standards. Maybe 8x12. Walked the city with friends, felt as safe as in US. Closest restaurant Nextdoor refused us service when we said we only wanted a bottle of wine outside "this is a restaurant not a pub", but plenty other close by establishments were more than willing to oblige, and we always ended up ordering some type of food anyway. Only spent a day and ... Read more

Hotel Arlecchino was a great spot. Location was excellent, very close to the bus stop, you could actually see it from one of the bridges. There was a little vendor 20 steps away to purchase vino, beer whatever you like. The rooms at the hotel were clean, the staff was very helpful. Check in is strange they ask for you to return the key when you leave for the day, up to you whether you do this or not. If you have an early arrival they will hold your bags, don't be alarmed when they just line them... Read more

Very convenient to cruise terminal and easy to reach from airport by non stop bus for 8 euro one way or 15 round trip. This a a charming hotel in a 16 century building by the side of a canal near Piazelle Roma. Very easy to get to San Marco by the vaporetto taxi close by for 15 euro round trip. You also get a wonderful ride through the canals for picture taking! Nice restaurants and cafes close to the hotel that the locals patronise without the high prices near San Marco. We had not realized that the taxi could not go directly to the hotel so had to find our way over the canals with suitcases to arrive. However they arranged a better service when we left. The hotel is beautiful. Marco the receptionist was extremely helpful. The breakfast is very good and we were able to leave our cases in the lobby while we did a bit of sightseeing the next morning.

Small elegant hotel, Venetian plaster ceilings, Murano glass light fixtures, marble bath, remodeled rooms, great breakfast only 3 euros in November (free cause we booked on their website). Room on canal; rooms are small--old building, but roomy enough. Beds are very firm, as most European hotel beds seem to be. Access from Piazza Roma over one bridge, to train station over 2 bridges. Staff arranged for porter to take luggage to train station--15 euro--well worth it. My husband left wallet on t... Read more
