OK, first the good: -the reception room is quite nice and the breakfast was surprisingly good, with a decent choice of food. The location of the hotel was ok, about a 20-25 minutes walk to the San Marco place. Now the bad: Oh a whole lot: We arrived at around 11 a.m. at the hotel, and we were soaking wet from the rainy/stormy weather on this day. Our both kids had wet socks and shoes, and were freezing. We were however told that the room wasn't available before 3 p.m.. OK, that's their policy... Read more

First of all I had to change room because when ever I used the one and only plug with my adapter it would turn the only light in the room off. I asked to change rooms and that was fine. The bed had hair (not from your head) on the sheets. The shower and toilets were dirty and very old. I had to pay money for wifi. Breakfast was fine. I'd never stay here again. It's worth paying a bit extra for some cleanliness and comfort. I wouldn't recommend it.

We stayed in a doubleroom. Quite small but just enough and it was fairly recently renovated. The staff was really nice. The continental breakfast was alright although the bacon and egg was not that impressive. Great location and we had a lovely view of a backyard. The only bad thing was the smell of the room, it smelled like sewers as soon as the window was closed.

We stayed 5 days in venice. You have to decide if you want to stay in venice (high prices) or stay nearby. First possibility offers the chance to see venice without the big masses of one day tourists. It depends on your travel budgets. Our hotel is in Venice better to say in Dorsoduro. A nice and intersting district of venice. The location of the hotel is perfect: Not far away to Zattere/Guidecca canal (vaporetto station, promenade for walking, church la salute (incl. vaporetto station), canal g... Read more

We were given at first an old terribly dumpy non renovated room. The hotel is mostly renovated , but we got room 107 which was terrible, and had a lot of noise from the renovation workers from before 8 am. Next morning we were given a renovated room and that was great. Nice small room, good modern bathroom, free working wifi. Breakfast was excellent, a varied big buffet. We love the Dorsoduro quarter, which is calm and much less touristy than the San Marco area. The reception staff were very fri... Read more

After seeing some bad reviews on Trip Adviser I has apprehensive my stay at the hotel. However, I was amazed to find the hotel very pleasant! My room was smart and clean with a good double shower. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a good standard for a 2 star hotel, with a good selection of choice. The tea and coffee machine was not great but you get want you pay for. Plenty of coffee places within walking distance if you want decent coffee. A lovely quiet part of Venice ... Read more

We approached our stay at the Alla Salute with some trepidation, after reading their reviews. But overall, we were satisfied with the 2* hotel. The location is great and very handy for St. Marks and the Guggenheim Collection is only a short walk. The Staff, we found, were mostly friendly and helpful. The Breakfast selection was adequate. They have an outside area to eat, if you want, and being a smoker was very useful. You do have to be vigilant, though, as if you are inattentive, you will find... Read more

Siamo stati in quest'hotel a dicembre 2015.

Read more

Personale carino, educato e disponibile.

Only a few minutes walk from the Salute Vaporetto stop. Quiet location. The rooms are clean and the basic needs are all met. The reception staff are very helpful. We loved the vending machines in the garden courtyard giving us access to 24 hour cold bottled water and coffee. Yes, they do charge for internet, however, 5 euros for 24 hours is not too bad. A good basic hotel with excellent location, a 10 minute walk from St Marc's Square and 5 minutes to the vaporetto. The room was standard with a nice bed and a decent sized bathroom. The room itself is pretty small, but I don't believe anyone is visiting Venice to stay at the hotel. The breakfast was okay, maybe too much of pastries for my taste, but overall a good start to the day. Helpful and nice staff! Cheap and reliable wifi.
