We cannot recommend Hotel Al Codega highly enough. It is tucked away in a little courtyard behind the hustle and bustle but it's location is perfect for exploring Venice and is very central to the ferries, Rialto bridge, San Marco square etc. The service was excellent and the breakfast had everything you would ever need. Our room was very quiet and spotless. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to this enchanting city.

We stayed in Al Codega in January after a visit to Rome. Venice was much quieter and had a more relaxing feel to it. This hotel was fantastic our room was beautiful and spacious with a very comfortable bed. Staff keep a close eye on who is coming and going from the hotel as the elevator always stops at reception to ensure it's guests staying in the hotel. We availed of breakfast here and it was quite a spread everything was fresh and a great choice of foods and drinks. I would definitely recomme... Read more

Michele at the front desk was so friendly and helpful. We asked about the train to Verona for a few hours and the next time we passed the desk he handed us print outs of the train schedule he had looked up. Every day they asked how our day was. The breakfast was very good.

The rich, varied breakfast, almost entirely fresh-made, is worth the visit by itself. The hotel is in a small and totally quiet courtyard, and accesses are closely watched by the staff. The location, more or less halfway between San Marco and Rialto, is convenient enough to reach by public transport (boat) and ideal to walk around the city. My room was spotless clean, everything worked well, the bed was comfortable albeit a bit short for me (194cm or 6'4" tall)

This hotel is charming, the personnel is pleasant and professional. The breakfast is delicious and copious. Nice place in the city center. Ask for a room with a window on the beautiful court, very quiet.

Clean tiny dark rooms. Venezia is the place you love to stay but no food nor rooms available at reasonable prices. Just dark, damp rooms. Polite service but nothing else. good breakfast in a dark dark dark dinning room. No light. No internet inside rooms.

This hotel was perfect for us, nice and quiet but still in the middle of everything. It was spotless and the breakfast was just perfect. Friendly staff and should I go back to Venice I would defiantly stay here again

This was a great little hotel with attentive, enthusiastic staff and very nice (but somewhat small) rooms. If you don't mind a room with two twin beds, room 203 does give you a bit more room and the WC is separate from the shower/sink. The only challenge is finding this gem when you get off the Vaporetto. Take Vaporetto 1 for absolutely no bridge/steps, but even #2, you will just have a small bridge. Do not make our mistake and cross the Rialto Bridge. The map provided is misleading and the ... I stayed in the Al Codega last week for 5 days and it was absolutely delightful, with the perfect location! The staff were totally professional and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was one of the best I've ever had in Venice and the hotel was spotlessly clean throughout. The morning we left, it was very early and before breakfast time, so the manager arranged a 'breakfast box' to take with us. Highly recommended!

Great hidden gem of a hotel in Venice... Friendly and helpful staff and hotel premises and rooms are very clean. Breakfast was good as well, elevator was small but at least they had one. Since its away from the busy walk ways of Venice, the hotel is a but hard to find, until I saw a video on how to find the hotel on YouTube... Search for the video its a big help.
