Across the canal from Venice stands an old factory which was transformed to a lovely hotel. Very helpful and kind staff, great rooms and wonderful food and restaurant choices. Especially liked the private boat to the Piazza San Marco which the hotel offers.

This is a luxurious, top-quality hotel - lights years above your typical Hilton. Superb food, excellent night club, and beautifully appointed in all respects. The only drawback is its isolation from St. Mark's. Must take a complimentary water shuttle or water taxi (60 Euros!) to get there. Free shuttle is great - but holds only 39 and does not run mush past midnight.

My wife and I spent two nights at the Hilton Molino-Stucky and fell in love with this property, it's staff, attention to detail, and location in the heart of Venice. St Marks Square, Basilica San Giorgio Majorre, Rialto Bridge, .... in fact everything is just a short water bus or water taxi ride away. The hotel has it's own water taxi and charges E $4.50 a day if you use the service (and you should). If you prefer endless rides throughout Venice via water taxi I suggest you buy one full days ... This hotel has to quality staff and clean rooms. The food isn't the best, but when visiting Venice, eating out is the best thing to do. The owner is very polite, and is happy to help you if you need it. It isn't very expensive, which is quite important, according to me, so you can have more things to do thing in the city. Speaking about the city: The city has a lot of interesting shops and museums to visit, one where carpenter carves out sculptures of clothes in wood, and it looks real! You nee... Read more

Stayed here for a couple of days after a cruise in the Medi.It was down hill all the way, they lost our luggage for hours , not just us but nearly everyone transfering from the cruise to the hotel did not get their luggage on arrival. It all left the ship on time but the porters just did not get it right. Booked a double but got a 2 singles , had it changed and ended up beside the lift well and with a smaller bathroom to boot. The Hotel was at a great location, away from all the very busy areas. It was our own little private Island. The water taxi provided by the hotel took only 5 minutes to get across the canal. Excellent Breakfast. The only thing we were bummed about was that the pool was closed during our stay, May 12th and 13th. The roof top bar was really nice.

Perfect location with a shuttle bus that runs frequently to San Marco in 15minutes, there is a nominal per stay, per person charge for this. Hilton Molino Stuckey is located on the island of Giudecco, so it requires a 5 minute boat ride to Venice, but that was an enjoyable part of our stay. We had a nice view of Venice from our room and from the rooftop bar/pool, and the hotel was a nice quiet break from the crowds in Venice. Hotel staff were very helpful, and room was beautiful. We recently stayed at the Hilton Molino Stucky and we can't fault the location and quality of facilities when they are available for guests to enjoy. In our 4 day stay the rooftop pool was shut for Health and Safety Reasons for a day due to the possibility that it may rain further. It was shut as it had rained in the morning which was followed by six hours of glorious sunshine but still remained closed due to the tiles around the poolside providing a slippy hazard. The Molino Stucky is an interesting spot -- it's in a converted mill/factory so it's a large property (360+ rooms) but it feels like a unique property all the same. Lots of exposed wood ceilings and old building touches, but a relatively modern room and amenities experience as the property was converted in the late '00s. I found this hotel difficult to rate. The building and view from the Pool are fabulous. However the service was patchy excellent at breakfast but poor at the sky bar and bar on the ground floor. Executive lounge was helpful as prices even by Venice standards were high. Room was good. My overall impression was that Hilton had built an over large hotel that they found difficult to maintain as a 5 star hotel due to lack of trained staff and difficulty in keeping the hotel clean and tidy.

Spent two nights before cruising at this hotel. Amazing hotel with shuttle service to St Mark's square that runs day and night. Water taxi from the airport stops at their pier. Enjoyed the buffet breakfast and dinner one evening. Staff was very courteous and made our stay wonderful. Concierge made dinner reservations at a local restaurant that was outstanding. Room faced the Canal Grande. Had cocktails at sunset at the rooftop bar. Amazing place to stay in Venice.

My only regret about staying here was that it was only one night! Stayed here after a Med cruise and absolutely loved this hotel. The "free" shuttle (there's a one-time small fee per room to use it) to Piazza San Marco is convenient and frequent, only a short ride away. The hotel is definitely luxurious. I need to read up on its history, to see what this building was in the past. Large wooden beams across the ceiling of our room. Had a lovely view of the canal right outside our window, whi... On the island of Guidecca the hotel provides a great shuttle to SAN Marco every 30 minutes. The boat taxi from the airport is well worth the boat ride through Venice especially the first time. The rooms facing the canal are worth the cost. Breakfast is expensive but provides a great start for the day. One of our favorite restaurants is a five minute walk by the public boat taxi. The pool and bar n the seventh floor have great views of Venice especially at night. We have stayed in a great hotel n... Read more

Great location. Away from madness of San Marco or Grand Canal. Good size rooms for Europe and especially Venice. All modern amenities including pool ( we did not use it, though). Free wi-fi for hhonours members. We had room facing the lagoon and great views. Executive lounge option helped a great deal to have access to drinks and snacks round the clock and finger food in the evenings. Very nice hotel in the past. We stayed on the executive floor, which has seen better days. The executive lounge had been moved from our floor to the lobby of the Hotel, which was quite uncomfortable while all guests could see you having snacks and drinks. The happy hour in the executive lounge was less desirable to say the least. Merlot for wine? Heineken for beer? This is Italy folks! Front desk staff was very friendly and informative. Nice clean spacious room with a comfortable bed. We were upgraded to a beautiful room on the seventh floor which was in a private area of the hotel. The breakfast each day was crowded, but very good with a nice selection of food to choose from. We used the water transportation provided by the hotel each day to get to Venice and it couldn't have been more convenient. The pool on the roof has spectacular views with limited hours and $8 beers. We love the location of this hotel, on Giudecca Island, with it's own shuttle into Venice (4.5 Euros per person per stay) and vaporetto stops to the left and to the right. With all the water traffic, you would think it would be noisy, but it is surprisingly quiet. We loved that at the end of the long day in Venice proper, we could get away from the crowds. We stayed at Hilton Molino Stucky Venice Hotel for two nights prior to leaving on a cruise. This was a reward stay on HHonors points. Upon arriving to the airport there are basically two ways to get to the hotel. The first, is the water bus. While much cheaper, the Hilton is the second to the last stop, it takes about 1:15+ total travel time. The other option (that we chose) was the private water taxi. On it's own Island across from St Mark's Square sits an old paper mill that has been converted into a lovely Hotel. Huge and hard to navagate at times but enjoyed our stay very much. Water only Access but that added to the experience. I also ran the short length of the waterway early a.m. (2 miles out and back) and so enjoyed the morning action of the locals. My husband and I were here for a six-night stay, the start of an Italian vacation. This is a five-star property at a fraction of the cost of similar properties in Venice, I suppose because it is located on Giudecca, across the Giudecca Canal from San Marco which boasts the city's main attractions. We've been visiting Venice for 2 days and were first a bit reluctant to use the Hilton Stucky hotel because it's located on another island. It turned out to be the perfect choice. The frequent hotel boat made it extremely convenient to access and also to retreat from (always busy and super-crowded St Mark's area) . The rooms are large, spacious and clean. Hotel in-house cuisine is good. The fact that the room AC was switched off in April, however, was a let down.
