This was our second stay at this comfortable, friendly hotel and we weren't disappointed. Great location close to St Marks Square and the Bridge of Sighs which is idea for sight-seeing. the staff are friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable and the rooms comfortable, clean and tidy. The hotel is reasonably priced for Venice and in our view offers good value for money and if we return to Venice this will once agin be our hotel of choice.

The staff at the hotel were all knowledgable and friendly. Check in was quick. Were told that our room was going to be ready in about 1.5 hours, but our room was ready within 1/2 hour of when arrived at the hotel. Had a room on the 4th floor that was roomy and very comfortable. Had a great view of the canal below and spent a good deal of time just watching the gondola traffic below. Absolutely charming hotel. Breakfast was excellent.

Lovely hotel in the heart of Venice with very attentive staff. They provided help whenever necessary and were very professional. The rooms were presented to a high standard. They have great character. Classic style fused with modern amenities. My only issue was that the double bed we requested was a couple of single beds moved together. I wouldn't have expected this with the price we paid hence the 4 stars.

this charming characterful hotel opens straight on to one of the canals so you have to arrive by water taxi. As it's in the centre of Venice, you only have to walk 5 minutes to get to St Mark's, the Doge's Palace etc. Even nearer are restaurants offering all levels of catering and well worth visiting. However we found the better ones were on the front rather than in the backstreets. We found the wine from Venice almost undrinkable so we became savvy and bought wine from outside Venice such a... This very Venetian style hotel is located right behind the Basilica of San Marco, so St Mark's Square is no more than a five minute walk. Canal view rooms facing the front of the hotel face the same canal the Bridge of Sighs crosses, so if you stick your head out the window you can see the famous bridge and the gondolas floating by. Only you can decide if this is worth the extra money. Rooms on the first floor ( my friend and I had rooms 102&103 ) are small with low wooden beamed ceilings. Very ... Read more

My review is rather mixed for this hotel. We booked through Expedia and knew the cancellation policy was very restrictive. In addition, we were booked to the hotel annex, which has 8-10 rooms and is not directly attached to the hotel and is located so that there were no views at all. When two members of our party had to cancel, I tried to go through Expedia three separate times to either cancel one room or get the rooms transferred to the main hotel. There was no response that I am aware of ... Read more

We arrived as a family of 7 and found that we had booked 5 rooms instead of four that I ordered on the Net. The problem was that my lady companion spoke to the hotel a few times and changed one of our rooms from the annex to the main hotel accepting a surcharge. There was lots of room to move around and the bathroom was big enough for 2 people to get ready at the same time. The hotel was just a short walk to St Marks Square ,shops and great choices of restaurants. Our suggestion is to start walking around and get lost. It will be easy enough to find your way back.

This was my first visit to Italy, Venice then Rome for a honeymoon. The hotel is very close to Saint Mark's Basilica. We took a ferry from the airport, got off at the stop before San Marco (maybe a half mile apart) and walked to the hotel. This hotel was the perfect place for a short break. We only stayed 2 nights but its central location was so convenient. Despite being centrally located, stone's throw from Saint Mark's Square, we felt it provided the peaceful haven needed after a busy day of sightseeing. We booked a triple room with canal view and were so glad we did. It was a spacious room, elegant and very comfortable. The pièce de résistance was the tiny, wrought iron balcony looking out upon the waterway and the Bridge of... Read more

Beautiful hotel, excellent location, great customer service. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Complimentary breakfast is more than a simple continental breakfast; eggs, ham, and all the extras provide a full breakfast and far more than expected. Prompt and courteous all-around customer service. We will be back and we will recommend this hotel to family and friends. Thanks

The rooms were clean and well decorated. The reception staff were helpful. Breakfast was lovely. Location was great. Were able to check in at 11.30pm! Rooms are expensive. The only bad interaction we had was with the bag porter who ran us from the reception to the room, flung our things into our room and seemed very frustrated that we wouldn't run to keep up with him. strange guy. Wifi was not great but did work.
