We have stayed at the Ca'Sagredo several times before and we always love it. The location is great - right next to the Ca d'Oro vaporetto stop which is on Line 1 and takes you virtually to everywhere you might want to go. Most of the important sights are within walking distance as the hotel is quite close to the Rialto Bridge. We stayed in a Deluxe room overlooking the square outside the hotel. Out of the two windows you could just about see the Grand Canal if you craned your neck a bit! Th... Read more

This is a beautiful hotel in a great location. It's near gondola rides, a vaporetto stop and shops. The room size and bathroom were quite large and clean. Breakfast was very good. The service was good.

What a lovely trip to Venice in a charming and historic hotel. Where do I start? Formerly the home of a noble family the hotel has retained it's original features. A spectacular staircase leads up from the main reception hall with frescoes on the walls and ceilings to a huge 'salon' which runs the length of the building to overlook the Grand Canal, then into the breakfast rooms and tucked behind them is the music room - go and check these out, they are beautiful. On arrival by water taxi ... Read more

I was excited about staying at this hotel as it was recommended by a friend who stayed there a few years ago. He had a fabulous time there. Sadly our experience was terrible. I had contacted the hotel in advance as I was celebrating my wedding anniversiary and also my parter had been very sick. They told me they would upgrade me to a luxury Grand Canal view room for E100 per night. As I had already paid a very high rate to stay there I was reluctant to pay this but I thought it would bite... Read more

Fabulous hotel on the grand canal with easy access by water taxi. Rooms are spacious and beautifully designed and the Artwork was stunning. Staff was welcoming and helpful and we loved the complimentary tour to the islands of Murano and Burano. Location is perfect for sightseeing and dining optipns. We stayed for a long weekend in November. Our arrival set the tone for our stay as we were greeted with a lovely and welcoming tour of the hotel. Our junior suite overlooking the Grand Canal was fabulously characterful while being very comfortable. The location was fantastic - close enough to many sights - and with some excellent restaurants close by that are slightly off the beaten track. Thoroughly recommended!

As many times as we have visited Venice, we never actually stayed in the city. So, how fortunate it was that we discovered the absolutely perfect hotel. This exquisite 5-star boutique hotel is a 15th-century palace that sits right on the Grand Canal. Everything about this property is exemplary - from the magnificently appointed guestrooms to the stunning public spaces to the superb cuisine. And the service is just what you would expect from a luxury hotel - outstanding. As is the location. ... Read more

I have stayed in many hotels in many different cities over the years but this is the best. It was, thus, with astonishment that I have just read a very unfavourable review by an American couple with whom I would profoundly disagree. We found the staff very helpful, friendly and efficient. The location could not be better and it is not without reason that the hotel is designated as a museum. The food was very good and at breakfast instead of listening to the background warblings of Frank Sinatra we ... Read more

My wife and I stayed here for her 40th birthday. The hotel is in an ideal location on the Grand Canal with great views and it's next to a Vaporetto stop which is very handy for getting around. The building itself is stunning, it feels like a grand old palace and we felt like royalty from the moment we got out of the water taxi- the Porter seemed almost offended when we tried carrying our bags in ourselves! When we arrived the Concierge was able to book a table for us for the birthday meal in a f... Read more
