Lovely place off the beaten track away from the tourist areas, which is great after a long day. Marianne greeted us on arrival and was friendly and super helpful providing us with a map of the local area, the best routes for the water buses and recommendation for local restaurants. The room was amazing with a terrace which made our stay. The room was kept clean and fresh towels provides every day. Couldn't ask for more. It was a lovely trip to Venice made special with a stay at Ca' Fontanea.

In the dark late at night it's hard to see the colour of Ca'Fontanea , but it is yellow! Not easy to find but when you do it is a gem. Nice rooms, big too. Walls are thin though and you can hear the other guests moving about. Breakfast starts at 9, and is fine.

My girlfriend and myself took a little City break and this was awesome! Ca Fontanea is located in an "off Stream" area where the locals live, well deserved by a very nearby taxi boat station. For the ones that visited Venise during the high season will understand what I mean by off stream, millions of people...We booked the suite, super confortable, with a rooftop terrace...so after a long day walking in the Venitian labyrinth, coming back to this peaceful hotel was like a retreat!!! I am a hosp... Read more

I read some pervious reviews before book but did not expect that there is a apartment not a hotel. No breakfast offers as on advertise on TripAdvisor! Big room with kitchen area and sofa. In the room was clean! But my room was very old I have to say. The pillow is very flat one each for person. Sheet is very thin. We did not sleep well sadly. The hot water keeps turning boiling or turning cold, there was not warm water, it need to be fixed. Staff there was friendly and helpful but barely speak... Read more

My wife and I needed a room in Venice near the train station and was able to book on-line. It was easy to find after a short walk. Only hitch in the beginning was that the office closed at 1:30 pm and we arrived after. On the door there was a note saying to type in the secret code provided in the e-mail they sent......no code was in the e-mail. We had to contact the booking agent who contacted the hotel personnel and eventually we were allowed entry. The room was quite nice......except it w... Read more

We stayed for two nights at the Ca` Fontanea (Ca means house) at Late April and it was a very pleasant stay. Breakfast was OK, not super. Room was very clean. Location is great right next to "Tre Archi" Vaporeto station and a few minutes walking through picturesque brigdes to main train station. We got the room at the top floor which was very spacious and had a terrace of it`s own overlloking the university. Stairs to that room was kind off steep for a family with a strawler and a toddler. Really a good place to stay in a quiet and traditional place in Venice! You will feel yourself part of the neighborhood specially if you go to the restaurants in the area and walk around. The apt is comfortable, the staff very amiable, nice breakfast. I guess this is the place I will keep on coming to stay in my next visits to Venice.

We needed a hotel for a one-night stay at the end of our cruise and found this fairly nice hotel. Though a bit off the beaten path and a bit confusing to find, it was still fairly central, especially if you're good at navigating the Vaporetto. We checked in during a heat wave (over 95 degrees Fahrenheit) and discovered that the A/C wasn't working. Our hostess was very accommodating and immediately switched us into one of the large apartments - one bedroom, living room, small kitchen and bath, o... Read more

Excellent place to stay in Venice, After a horrible stay in a hotel close by we booked into this gem! We were offered a complimentary breakfast on our arrival with fresh croissants and cappuccinos. The apartment was well furnished, spotless and modern! I will definitely recommended to stay here!

Booked through booking.com. Followed the instructions the hotel gave and it's about a 15 minute walk from the train station. Venezia st Lucia. Easy to find. Nice neighbourhood. Lovely room on first floor. Walking distance to every where. Breakfast was ok, toast , ham, 2 cereals. Good coffee, decent juices, croissants. No fresh fruit. Tea making facilities in room and fridge. Shampoo and soap. Comfortable bed. Lots of mosquitos in Venice so be prepared. City tax is ?3 per person per night. See ... Read more

We stayed at this hotel for three nights in September. Caught the ferry from the airport to Guglie station and it is a fairly easy 5 to 10 minute walk to the hotel. We didn't get the code to the door in time but rang the door bell and someone answered and gave us the code. The reception is closed from 1.30pm. The room was spacious and quiet and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was small, but I think this is normal for Europe. Good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Basic breakfast by a... Read more
