We found the staff to be very pleasant. The room was a good size for what we paid. The decor was typically Venetian in the rooms (cherubs galore, huge drapes, big portrait and very flamboyant) and the public areas are almost boutique like in style. The breakfast is bit short in selection - just two hot foods (scrambled egg and bacon) and a selection of cold meets, fruit, hot/cold drinks and cereal. Would use this hotel again.

Stayed here a couple of nights in April 2016, I would like to mention the service , the staff were all excellent and very helpful. The breakfast buffet was beautifully presented and delicious . The only negative thing I would mention- that I was disappointing with the room - I purchased a standard double room and saw the picture of it before -however the room was nothing like it , it was small and crowded and no view from the window -for the price I payed very poor room.

Room: Bathroom and bedroom was clean. Seems like they tried to preserve much of the older decor as possible while upgrading the room. Thankfully the bathroom looked fairly clean and renovated. Our balcony view was into the back of the hotel, nothing fantastic to look at. Location: Excellent location! About a 5 min walk away from St. Lucia Venezia Station, right smack in the middle of the bustling crowds and fun-filled streets. I'm very glad I chose this spot near the beginning of town consider... We booked this hotel as part of a package including the flight. We found the location convenient for those arriving by airport transfer bus, also for the railway station. For travel around the city by the canals on a vaporetto it is near to the Ferrovia stop from where you can reach most places on the 20 euro day ticket. There are plenty of bars and places to eat within a few metres of the hotel, an exchange facility next door and a bank with atm 50m away. We found the staff at Amadeus pleasant... Read more

We stayed here for a city break. It was well located from the water taxi from the airport, but a bit of a walk to St marks or Rialto. Quite handy for the grand canal though and many places to eat and buy gifts nearby. Room was adequate - 4th floor, but no view to speak of. Safe, tv with some channels including bbc news and a safe. No tea and coffee making. En suite with bath and shower. Clean enough though. Have to admit funniest toilet arrangement ever. I'm 5 ft 8, so anyone 5 10 or taller wo... Read more

This hotel is situated on the main walkway from the railway station which is only 300m away. The foyer area is quite smart and the breakfast room is very nice in a garden setting. Breakfast is the continental type but there was a good variety of food well presented. We found the staff courteous and helpful. The big let down was the room. Our room was on the second floor overlooking the main walkway where there are a lot of bars and cafes nearby. The windows appeared to be double glazed but this... Read more

When I looked at the picture from booking.com, to be honest I expected a little bit much about this hotel. Nice, classy, and big room. It turns out, the room that I got its not so big. I can say that it's not well maintain. The bathroom is not so big but it is very clean. The other good thing about this hotel is ,,, it's not far from the bus stop in piazzale roma. We had a lovely stay at Hotel Amadeus which was located only a short walk from the taxi-stop and train station. The people there were very polite and helpful and spoke perfect English. The breakfast was very tasty and fresh. If you want lobster with champagne for breakfast this isn't the hotel for you, but for a fine selection of breakfast delights this hotel will do fine. When we got off the train in Venice I couldn't believe how close this hotel was to the station and yet felt in the heart of Venice and so local. Amadeus is a 4 min walk from the st.lucia vicenze train station and very close to the ferry stops. It takes roughly 25 minutes to walk to the famous historical piazza san marco. There are good restaurant options nearby. However since the hotel is on a busy street do not expect a very quiet room if you are facing the street. Our room was $250 on a friday night but it felt fair value given the location and the clean and spacious rooms.
