Away from the hustle and the bustle of Venice city center, this Mestre accommodation is the right choice for a nice stay in this gorgeous city. Professional staff, modern bulging, large and comfortable rooms, shuttle service to city center, great buffet breakfast, close to Venezia Mestre railway station...what else? Highly recommended!

Stayed 4 days for business. Great rooms and excellent service such as a good organization of the event I attended. Get a taxi and for 20‚?¨ you get a lift to the island were can have an amazing 40 mins walk to san marco sq. Beware with mosquitos so be sure you do not open the room window.

Do not expect anything fancy, there's not a lot in the area looks industrial, a few supermarkets nearby. Walk to bus to go into city of Venice. Wifi horrible, try to take a room not facing the water wifi seems to work better on the other side. Refrigirator available

Quite a spectacular building which sits astride a canal basin, would be great to take a boat trip from the hotel. The room was excellent, clean, comfortable, great appearance and air con that worked! I used the conference facilities which were first class. The restaurant was good too, food was excellent, service was a little slow but probably due to a group of 25+ people turning up all at once. Just a little of the beaten track for walking out in the evening but with a car or using taxis then vi... Read more

Not sure whether it knows what it wants to be. The split nature of the place doesn't help, if you are in the lesser tower you feel like the poor relation because it looks like the main tower has more to offer, eg the only bar. However on closer inspection this is not really the case as much is given over to business centre etc. It's a fair step to the nearest bus stop to go into Venice and well out of Mestre centre so be prepared to travel lots.

Location - Located well out site Venice in a quiet part of Mestre. Served by bus routes going to the town centre. Supermarkets within 10 mins walk. Natural/health food supermarket across the road. Restaurants along from the conference wing. Local buses good. Hotel - Modern, business style hotel by a canal. Hotel was very clean and had the benefit of a massive terrace overlooking a marina. Sadly there was no garden, pool or balcony (hence only 4 stars). The smokers were of... Read more

Very nice and clean hotel. Close to all amenities and a short bus ride from Venice. Excellent staff and friendly. Great breakfast buffet and excellent lunch and dinner. Restaurant a little on the expensive side. Extremely disappointed on the Wifi, extremely, extremely slow. Hotel should definitely invest in getting a decent wifi. Especially in this day and age.

Check in was swift and the staff were very friendly. Our room was on the 5th floor, it was spacious with an extremely comfortable king size bed. The room also had desk space and a nice size tv The bathroom was clean, with a bit of ware and tear. But very nice with a lovely shower. The air con was also a great thing. The hotel is not in Venice itself but situated in Mestre. A 15 to 20 minute walk to the bus stop by the train station or the hotel offers transfers to and from Venice. I would reco... Read more

I stayed at this hotel again (after a previous positive experience in a business trip!) on my return from a holiday trip in Madeira. In order to avoid a night drive back to Ljubljana, I decided to spend the night in Mestre. NH Laguna Palace proved to be a good choice again. Impeccably clean, spacious rooms, big bathroom with amenities, wi-fi and parking provided (latter on payment, 12 EUR per day). Breakfast was included in the price and was typically varied for the NH chain. In brief, a great o... Read more

Stay here for work, the rooms are clean, are a good size, beds were comfortable. In the summer months you have to watch the A/C, sometimes in Italy they turn off the a/c overnight, but you tell the front desk not to do that. You can take a 10 min walk from the hotel to catch bus 4L to Vencie. Supermarket within 1/4 mile. Overall a nice hotel and only a 20 minute ride to the airport. Upon arrival the front desk has been very helpful on my stays here.

By far the best hotel of the tour so far. Complete luxury for a budget tour, We stayed in a triple room which as actually two rooms and also had a dining table and a large bathroom. Free WIFI as well. Buffet breakfast which includes bacon and scrambled eggs. Walk about 7-10 minutes to the corner to catch a 4L bus into Venice Roma Plaza which takes about 15 minutes. Near the bus stop is a SPAR supermarket and a McDonalds. Downside of the hotel was we weren't there long enough to enjoy it. Drive a... Read more

Our aircon was very noisy and ineffective so we requested to change rooms on two consecutive nights. They were fully booked so couldn't do anything but turn off the aircon. Not pleasant on a hot summers day/night. Electronic safe didn't work. Mould in shower. Soap tray fell off. The reception was staffed by one person who handled all check ins and calls. She constantly had queues of people and was answering calls at the same time. We are on a European tour and this breakfast was the most ... Read more

Pros: great bar, comfy bed, free wifi Cons: slow wifi, understaffed front desk (there was always a substantial wait, even at 5a!), no coffee maker/kettle in room, fitness center under-equipped (one stationary bike, one weight machine, one exercise ball; it's a very small room, but there is space for a treadmill and some free weights). There were a few other issues as well with the front desk staff, but will chalk them up to language barrier-induced communication breakdowns and not elaborate. If... Read more

Stayed at this hotel on a business trip to Italy. The hotel is very nice and the staff all polite and attentive. The rooms are a good size, clean and the beds very comfortable. The breakfast was good but in the morning it seemed several coach loads of guests were at breakfast at the same time so the queue to the buffet breakfast and especially the hot drinks was quite long. The hotel has a main entrance and another entrance for the part of the building the other side of the marina. When booking ... Read more

Stayed for work and was satisfied. Everything is clean, simple and updated. Staff is very helpful, professional and friendly. Wi-fi works well, had no problem working. Rooms are a good size - I had one overlooking the marina which was nice. Easy to get to Venice - bus stop is a 10 minute walk and it's only a few stops. I think the bus ride itself is about 15 minutes and they come frequently. 15 minute taxi ride from the airport.

We stayed here whilst on a business trip, but also spent two days exploring Venice. The hotel is modern & contemporary, situated in Mestre (a modern industrial suburb) where there are some shops & bars. It's 15mins from the airport( taxi cost 30 Euros) & about 15 mins by bus to Venice, the bus stop is 500 metres away. We did use the water taxi service one day which is expensive ( approx 200 euro) but it is a fantastic experience approaching this historical city along the canals, gazing at the ama... Read more

Arrived by taxi so we were unaware this hotel has two towers separated by a waterway and only access to the other is by walking outside. There is no under cover route. Initially turned away by reception because we were too early then went back after lunch to be told we were in the opposite tower which has its own reception! Hotel very popular with flight crews because easy access to airport. Situated in industrial area so don't be fooled by the boats in the canal outside. The rest is not scenic... Read more

We were at the NH Laguna Palace on a small weekend trip to Venice. The experience was an overall disappointment. The Hotel has two buildings and on booking you don't get any information on which building your reservation was made. We ended up having to carry our luggage all around the complex to get to our room. An additional information of Building A/Building B would have been helpful before we arrived. The check-in process was good and the receptionist on duty was very gentle. Once in the ro... Read more

The NH Laguna Palace looms up over the post-industrial landscape of the Mestre waterfront area. Having previously stayed in the NH Marbella I was very excited about bringing my fiancée here but sadly this hotel doesn't have the sparkle of its Spanish counterpart. The hotel looks like the product of the heady days before the financial crash when perhaps the whole area was targeted for regeneration which has not happened as the immediate area is quite run down. While the building is impressive... Read more

We stayed at the Nh Laguna Park for one week in early October. The hotel is situated in Mestre, in a business location but with an attractive frontage beside a canal. It is composed of two blocks and, if you are in block B as we were, you have a bit of a walk to make with your suitcases.. It is not too far from a few restaurants and bars and within walking distance of Mestre station. There is a good choice for breakfast and the staff make sure everything is topped up quickly. The hotel rooms may be 4 star, but overall it is 2 star. The room air con is a disaster, set at at 25C allowing you to turn it down to 21C. Reception had run out of fans to cool the room. The walls of the bedrooms are " paper thin", I could hear word for word the people in the next room. The hotel is located in an industrial area, so don't walk at night, as there are unsavoury characters around. 10 - 12 euros for a taxi to the railway station, or a 20/25 minute walk in daylight. Good value hotel for Venice if you want a larger room and don't mind the travel to the islands. I stayed here for a conference, which was very convenient but would possibly have been annoyed if I needed to travel to the older part of Venice. You do get much more value for your money here however and get to see how real Venetians live.
