We stayed in a superior room for 12 nights over the new year period. The location is the biggest plus being a few minutes walk from both the Rialto Bridge and San Marco Square. We arrived by water taxi from the airport to the Rialto stop and walked 2 minutes to the hotel with no stairs. Room was comfortable and clean, serviced well each day and temperature stable. Bathroom was okay, they really need a shelf in the shower and some storage area. Toiletries were minimal. Breakfast was included and wa... Read more

La Gorizia is a great hotel perfectly locaoted right by the Alilaguna orange line Rialto stop without even having to cross any bridges with luggage. 5 minutes or less of a walk from Piazza San Marco, at walking distance from most museum and sights. The reception always greeted us with a smile, especially Mario. Rooms are typically European, bathrooms and showers in particular on the smaller side. Building is old so expect to hear louder neighbors and doors opening and closing etc. Overall grea... Read more

The hotel is in a great location, very central and walking distance to everywhere we wanted to visit. The rooms are very clean and quirky. The breakfast was ok with a limited choice of cold options, no hot food. The hotel was very warm so be prepared. It was exactly as described on the website, clean and basic. The reception staff were very friendly and we were able to leave our bags on the day we checked out, picking them up at the end of the day on the way to the airport.

The location was perfect. Just a short walk to San Mark's and San Polo. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It needs a lot of updating however, it was kind of like going back to the 1950's. The bathroom was strangely set up. Weirdest toilet i've ever seen! Bed was pretty rock hard and a duvet in December would have been welcomed! The breakfast was pretty awful. Fruit and coffee though, so I was happy with that at least. However, for a great central location but off the beaten track and ... Read more

Located in a busy street literally a minute walk to st marks plaza and also a minute walk to the rialto bridge and a cheap supermarket (coop - a must in this expensive city ) .. everyday we were out walking in the city a lot and our hotel provided us with a safe, warm, clean, comfortable place when we needed to rest for the day. When we felt a little tired we could rest back at our hotel a little and go out again as its centrally located- in the middle of everything. The showers had really good ... Read more

We loved the location of this hotel - literally a 2min walk from St Marco square and the Rialto Bridge. The room has everything you need, we found it fantastic for drying clothes as it has a heated towel rack! Complementary breaky was fantastic ranging from fresh fruits, yoghurt, muesli/granola, pastries, cheese and processed meats etc. Our only negative was our double bed was actually 2 singles pushed together and the bed wasn't so comfortable as it moulded to our body shapes and was quite toug... Comfortable room in a hotel offering excellent value for money. Bathroom could have done with a shower curtain - our only quibble. Located half way between Piazza San Marco and The Rialto, both 5 min walk away, there are also plenty of good restaurants nearby. Venice is an enchanting city and this is an excellent base for exploration. A special mention for a young lady receptionist who performed above abd beyond the call of duty in helping arrange flight Boarding Cards Street noise noticeable if... Read more

Stayed at this hotel in September for 5 nights. It was amazingly situated for all the places we wished to visit in Venice and the water bus . Rooms are comfortable and we asked for a quiet room which we had. The Venetian style was our superior room. The staff at the front desk were always helpful and any advice and how to get anywhere would give you a map an instructions all done in a very pleasant manner. The only down side was that the breakfast room needs to be bigger.Unfortunately each morni... Read more
