This hotel could be 4 stars rated maybe in the '70s. Very old-fashioned, not a good feeling to be in its rooms. The rooms are spacious but very tastelessly furnitured, the bathroom is ugly as hell. It feels like somewhere in Romania in the communist era. For this price there are lots of better hotels in Taormina! We only had to choose this because on new years eve we could not find anything else. I don't have a good feeling being in this hotel, it's depressive. The guests are mainly old people. ... Read more

Beautiful Hotel. Older style of décor but only makes the experience authentic. Breakfast every morning was amazing. Fresh cakes, fruit and the staff on hand making coffee and clearing tables. Only negative for breakfast were the bees (I think) that were flying around, but you get used to it and carry on. The pool is great and the views across the ocean and Mt Etna where amazing. The beautiful city centre is a 5min walk away.

Please disregard the negative reviews of an old fashioned hotel with unhelpful staff. This is a stylistic 1960s hotel with a few mod cons such as a fridge and TV. Yes there is no kettle but why come to Sicily to make your own coffee? The staff are very helpful and friendly. We were even moved to a better room after a large tour group checked out at no extra cost. The breakfast is typical of sicily with more cake than bacon'n'eggs but the coffee machine does a lovely cappuccino. We've only j... Read more

This overall was a lovely hotel and I probably would stay here again, room was lovely with an amazing view of mount Etna, the only downside was the breakfast- there was a fly in the yoghurt, the milk had a skin on top of it, the ham was way expired, there was only greyish murky water in the juice machine, and the oranges for the hand juicer were all mouldy, and when we told somebody, he only replaced them with mouldier ones! None of my family ate breakfast on our first day, and on that day we ha... Read more

Positives: I loved staying at this hotel, especially due to the location (5minute stroll to Taormina's central street either via the small park or the street) and the views. Fantastic views from the lovely classic Italian (though slightly spartan) room with its two balconies (overlooking the pool) of the bay, Taormina and of course Etna in the background. Our room (second floor) was a good size, two large doors each to its own balcony and with a good size private bathroom. There was a small tab... Read more
