When we planned to go to Taormina, we searched for a place which was neither along the railroad, nor along the highway. We came up with Borromeo Resort, which on Google Maps (and on the internet site of the Hotel) was pinned on an area with a nice view on Isola Bella, with no railroad and no highway in sightview. When we arrived late in the evening with the GPS of Google Maps at the location indicated, we were astonished not to find the Hotel...we tried to call the phone number indicated on the ... Read more

The hotel was in an excellent position close to the beach (although you'd need to drive/get a bus into the main town of Taormina). Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and we had no problems with the cleanliness and comfort room. The breakfast provided is excellent and the pool was lovely. The showers are a bit small - I'm only about 125 lbs and I found myself elbowing the walls a lot! So if you were much larger I'd expect it to be a bit of a struggle. Also, the hotel website suggests room... Read more

Borromeo resort is a lovely hotel, nearby the sea! Staff is very warm, and helpful! Lovely Mediterranean architecture. Rooms are very clean, towels are changing every day! In the night, you can hear sea waves! But, railway and local road, very traffic, is next to the hotel! It's been a very noisy. But you get used to that after 2 nights. And two discotheque's is in front, about 100 m. Very noisy at the weekend! And very hard to find a free parking, if you get back to the hotel after midnight. No... Read more

Resort hotel room with no window !! We have just arrived for two nights and the room is like a prison cell. We are absolutely disgusted. Free parking is on the side of the main road outside the resort. There is a railway line running through the resort, and no restaurant at all. Nearest one is a walk along the main road, no pavement. What a complete let down. Asked for a better room, none available. It wasn' t really cheap either so don't be taken in by the pictures it is a dive.

a very good 3.5-4*, everything was clean and everyone where helpful and very kind! (and im only giving a full 4* rating because of the train - which is not their fault and also honesty, for us, was not a problem, but we can sleep through anything) sorry it has taken me so long to write this (we were there last year, during April 2015) everything we needed was accommodated by the staff, i especially wish to say thank you to Luigi Salvo Umberto!

The hotel is amazing. I have never seen this kindly staff ever. The room was more Than enough for 2 person however the bathroom was small. They serve italian breakfast in the morning as well as take care of the intolerances ég. Gluten, lactose. The view is amazing however the Train is Close to the hotel but it is maximum 2 times per hour till 10-11 pm. I would insist in this hotel If i am Come Back.

A less expensive place to stay than most places in Taormina so if your are on a tight budget good place to choose, Borremeo is run by a young man (didn't get his name) who is very helpful and sorted us out with lots of information and booked things for us, his parents help out and his mum who doesn't speak much English is really nice, his dad is very quiet. But it's not a 4 star as listed and just a couple of things to consider before booking: the front sea view rooms (great views) are about ten... Read more
