I was at Arenella resort for two weeks this summer with my family and our friends. It was our first time in italy and it was just so beautiful! I'm going to give you a bit of information about the hotel: You sleep with just a sheet and a quilt on top of it (not together as we do in Sweden). And we thought it was a bit unhygienic. We thought that all the bars were open at the hotel but some bars are only open if they have to close another for some reason. There are no "in between" snack at t... Read more

We had the time of our lives! Went with my boyfriend 1st-8th Sep 2015. Beautiful resort, big clean rooms, aircondition works very well. Buffet is a bit crowded sometimes, but the restaurant is very spacious. Many staff don't speak English, but that's ok. Love that you can fill up 1L mugs of drinks and bring to the table instead of standing in line 10 times. Loved the food, loved the big pools, one with activities and one more quiet one. The little train to the beach is so cute. Takes only 5... Read more

I stayed here in August 2015 with my wife, a 4 year old and a <1 year old; we were in a family room (the 3300 block - bedroom and living area separate) and were half board. OK, so let's be clear, I did not like the Arenella and do not recommend it to anyone unless you obtain a steep discount. To begin with, it advertises itself as a 4 star resort; this is very much not the case. To be fair, there are some good aspects to the resort: the grounds are very clean and immaculately kept; the pool ... Read more

This is a tricky review to write. I can only describe the resort as a sort of Italian Centrparc. There was a lot going on and Italian families seemed to be having great holidays. Being a middle aged couple, we did not visit for this type of holiday and so did not join in but Arenella Resort provided a good base to visit Southern Sicily. There is a lot to see in Syracuse and the towns of Noto and Ragussa. We had a hire car and were out and about 5 days out of 7. When not sightseeing, the resort ... Read more

This resort is probably great if you're travelling with your family and a lot of kids.. there is kids everywhere! Lot's of music by the pools and kids-disco every night. The all inclusive food is totally ok, the rooms and service is ok. If you dont have a car communications into Siracuse is problematic and taxi is expensive. Siracuse however is fantastic! Beautiful, lots to see and suprisingly fantastic shopping! The beach and deck by the cliffs are nice.

Stayed here with my family in Juy 2016. The location was some 10 kilometers outside Syracuse and there were really no restaurants, bars etc nearby - but this we were prepared for so we had rented a car for the full week. The general impression is that the resort is somewhat outdated. Rooms were ok but not fantastic. We had All inclusive and we were somewhat disappointed with the quality of the food but also the variety of food was somewhat limited in particular for lunch. The restaurant was extr... Read more

We'll start with positive sides - the food is good... That's it actually - I wouldn't be able to recall any other positive sides. The restaurant conveys a feeling of a gigantic canteen. There is no entertainment in the evening (despite the announcement in the billboard) - absolutely nothing... No music, no program for kids, not even background music. Majority of people we've been talking to have been surprised about these conditions. The hotel property itself is old but well maintained.

We went the first week of September, it looks a little old but well maintained and clean rooms. Food was good the only think i noticed that there wasn't a bar open at any time the only one open is on the roof. Workers were extremely friendly and helpful and all of them talked good English although we understand Italian. It's a beautiful place to relax and enjoy some time off work. Would definitely like to go again.
