Wish we could have taken this room with us to every where we visited. It was the best, and they were so helpful to answer any questions and assist us. It was a bit of a walk from the train station, but fun to walk by all the shops, on the way to the hotel!

Excellent base to explore Sorrento and the surrounding areas. Not too far from anywhere. Easy walk to centre, station, port and marina grande. Beautiful hotel, lovely room and very helpful staff. The reason for being called a hostel is that it has some dormitory rooms which cater for groups or the single budget traveller where you can rent a bed rather than a room.

Staff were extremely friendly and efficient. The room was clean and buffet breakfast had a great variety of both savoury and sweet options. Wifi worked well throughout the hotel. It is about a fifteen minute easy walk to the train station.

This hostel in a great location, near to the town centre and the pretty bay. The rooms are air conditioned, spacious and at no extra cost there is both a fridge and a room safe in the rooms. We had a large balcony, which was very pleasant. I requested a kettle and the staff were only too happy to oblige. Breakfast is a pleasant affair, there is something for everyone - do try Maria's cakes they are spectacular. The reception team were very helpful, willing and professional, more so than many... A big shout out to Chiara and Giuseppe for going out of the way to help us with a confusion with reservations and retrieving our bag we left in on a bus to Positano. Giuseppe picked it up on his own time! The facility is very nice, easily accessible from the main road, close to a laundry, and the beach. We will recommend this place to anyone! The cakes made by Maria were awesome. She even gave us the recipes. We miss this place already!

Clean large Room Bed was firm; bedspread was linty. Breakfast was ok: eggs needed replacing No view/balcony at location. Air conditioning a real plus! Was located an easy walk to Main Street. Ten minute walk to train station; important if you are traveling to Pompeii, Herculaneum, Mt Vesuvius, Positano and Paestum.

This is a great hotel with excellent staff and service. It is a bit far from the train station though. The station is on one end and the hotel on the other. But easy access to Fuoro street. The adjoining spa with a sauna, steam room and pools is also great to spend half a day at. The breakfast is also very good and very attentive staff. If you don't mind a bit of a walk to the train then highly recommended.

We a stayed at this hotel for 5 nights in Sorrento. The accomodation was excellent with a very large bedroom, large bathroom and even a small balcony. Ask for Room No. 220. The breakfast was very good with variety of choices and quality. The best part was that each and every staff member was extremely friendly, helpful and went out of their way to go out of their way to be helpful. The room was exceptionally spacious. Furnishings were outdated but the beds were comfortable and the room clean. Overall very good value for money. I usually travel on 4 star tours and this hostel ( really a hotel ) compares favourably. There was no decent view from the window and I wasn't expecting one for the price. Most of the day was spent outside shopping and sight seeing.

Nothing like any hostel I've stayed in previously, this is a great value place to stay in Soreento. It's about a twenty minute walk from the train station and is in a quiet location away from the main touristy areas. The room I had was large with a lovely en suite. The staff were attentive and always helpful. There was also a TV, small fridge and wi-fi I the room.

I have stayed at Ulisse several times. It is called a hostel, but I find it is more than a hostel. The people at the front desk are so competent and helpful. The price of the room was inexpensive, yet had a large bathroom with tub; the room itself was large, air conditioning. It is also located where it is close to town, but not too far from Marina Grande. The hotel has a large common area, with comfortable couches, and one can order a drink from the bar if so desired. This hotel was the perfect option for us. It was a good base while we traveled to Positano and Mt. Vesuvias/Ercolano. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk down the hill to the beach, 5 minutes to the shops, and 15-20 to the port and bus station. The staff is incredibly friendly and answered our questions and gave us suggestions of places to see and excursions to do. Some cons to the hotel are that it can get a bit loud, the wifi connection was not that great, and the linens could use some updatin... Read more

It was more of a hotel...not really a hostel. There were a lot of students staying there in what appeared to be shared rooms. We had three rooms that were nice and clean. They cleaned the rooms daily. The breakfast was nice and so were the servers. The only thing that was disappointing was the pool. It appears that there are no clear hours and they charged an additional 5 Euros person. It appears that they converted their pool into a Spa that was open to the outside. Which seemed to take... Ulisse is a hotel even though the name says Hostel. Our room was big and clean with big and clean bathroom. It was very quiet. I think the rooms are very well insulated for sound. The breakfast is alright. People at the front desk are just great and very helpful. The hotel is at the end of the town center where all the action is. So the center is right there but it is on a very quiet street so there is no traffic noise.

We loved this hotel! The wifi was annoying bc you have to sign in every time but everything else was great! You can walk down to the water to the "less" touristy area for dinner and to swim. We took advantage of the spa! It was much needed and a great treat before we head up to Pompeii and Rome. Oh and you need to pay for breakfast but it looked pretty good. We opted out of breakfast and ended up buying one for 2.50 cheaper. Depends on what you are looking for.

Our family really enjoyed this hotel. Originally we were booked for a family room since we were traveling with our 2 children. At check-in, we were advised that the family room wouldn't be available until the 2nd night. Instead they gave us 2 double rooms right next to each other, for the same price as the large room, which worked out fine. We choose keep the 2 rooms for the duration instead of moving the the family room the 2nd night. The rooms were very clean, modern and spacious. The breakfas... Read more

Ulisse is not a very nice hostel, situated below a parking lot, the furniture is at best interesting. However, Sorrento isn't cheap - at least not if you travel budget-ish - so if you are merely looking for a centrally located place with to put your stuff while strolling around town, look no further. If on the other hand, you picture a place where you can hang out in your hotel bar or terrace, look elsewhere..

It's about 20 mins walk from the train station so you need to take that into account if you have heavy luggage with you. I stayed in the shared dorm room. Some beds have no private light and some of the power outlets are not working. The WiFi is unstable and slow. The bathroom has only one small garbage can so it's always full when 6 people are in the room. But considering the price, it is acceptable. The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast costs extra 10 Euro per day.

We picked this hotel because it was affordable and close to the area of Sorrento that we were interested in. It took us around 15 minutes to walk our luggage from the train station to the hotel across Sorrento's cobblestone streets. Our room was very basic, but clean enough and pretty spacious. I would recommend bringing earplugs if you want to sleep past 7am - the hallways echo all of the noise from other guests and cleaning staff and it was quite loud.
