Let me start by saying there is so much to love about this little hotel which feels more like a bnb and I had a great stay. Sadly there were just a couple of things that I think could be improved to make it absolutely outstanding. Pros - lovely rooms I was in the loft room and the style of the rooms and how well kept they were was very impressive, even the lofts were an excellent size. - Great beds, sheets and pillows Brilliant nights sleep and easy to regulate your temperature. Maison Tofani is located in the old city area of Sorrento. It is a few blocks from almost everything, including the train and bus stations as well as the elevator down to the port. The hotel is in the pedestrian area of the city but the staff will meet you, if you need help with luggage and bring it to your room. The breakfasts are wonderful and the room they are served in is a memorable part of what is an old villa. The staff is both friendly and helpful. They are willing to assist with booking... Read more

We arrived by hire car and used the car park about 10 minutes walk away which is recommended from the hotel website. We were then dropped off by shuttle service at a nearby square and the car park people had rung ahead so that a friendly porter met us to take our bags and accompany us on the short walk to the hotel. That all worked well for us. Once we found our bearings we walked to the car park ourselves after that, although a shuttle service was available. We loved the historic characterful... Read more

We stayed 3 nights in Sorrento in May. Maison Tofani is located right in the heart of the square, within walking distance to everything including the Marina Grande. Just know that to get to a beach or the ferry, you will need to either walk down, take the lift, or a bus down to the waters edge. As others have said it is not accessible by car but if you call ahead they will have someone waiting for you at an arranged spot to help you with your luggage to the hotel and up to your room. Impressive breakfast and breakfast room. Location right in the heart of Sorrento, ideal for exploring. Friends travelling together booked last two remaining rooms. One a Classico and the other a family room. Both were spotlessly clean and well presented and if we had occupied our friends room I would have added an extra star. The family room was a huge disappointment - extremely low ceiling and tiny window looking onto part of the roof. Steps in the room were dangerous particularly at nigh... Read more

This hotel had a friendly family feel about it and the service was very good starting with the young man assisting with the luggage, in and out. He was very willing to accompany us to our transport outside the pedestrian only zone. The room we had was very spacious and well equipped with amenities. Breakfast was very satisfying and the espresso coffees were as good as any we have had in Italy. Step outside the premises and you are in he heart of the Cenrto Storico. Recommended.

Beautiful hotel, excellent location and first class service from every member of staff. Our room was perfect, plenty of space, comfortable and quiet with a great aspect over the Via San Cesareo. Breakfast was a treat every day in the stunning salon. The most impressive part though was the service, the whole team could not have been any friendlier or more accommodating and I would certainly like toi think we will return one day.

I chose this place based on the reviews here on TripAdvisor, and I have to say I'm in the minority of people who were not pleased with it. For starters, this is not a hotel -- it's a b&b. I was fine with this, but just be sure to factor that into the equation when pricing things. The day before check-in, I emailed the b&b to remind them that I would like a quiet room. They said my current room category would not really be quiet, so I should pay 50 euros to upgrade to the next better one. I ... Read more

We were given a room that looks like a servant's quarter. It had very low ceilings and a two foot by two foot window that looked out to a wall. It looked like a cave. When we expressed our dissatisfaction with room, we were told by antonino the manager that the hotel was entirely booked up and since we booked through booking.com a refund wasn't possible. My wife and I used Sorrento as a base for traveling to the Amalfi Coast and Pompei and we liked this hotel but it was not our favorite. The room was clean and the breakfast was quite good. The location was great as you are decently close to the train station and in the middle of town - and the room was very quiet. Our 2 night stay was good, but I have experienced better. The rooms we had looked onto a small alley with bars and restaurants, which made it very noisy till very late. The feeling I got was that of promoting their own businesses ( 2 restaurants) instead of giving advise freely on where to eat. The beds are very comfortable. For just a pass through experience, this hotel is sufficient. Most annoying wifi as you have to log into their wifi every time you want the internet.

The hotel is away from the sea and pretty bang in the centre but inaccessible by car it it is in also in the middle of a very noisy place with shops. If you have a car you must park it in the city parking n then they provide a city shuttle to get you close to the hotel. There is a parking fee of 18 euro as well. I must say that the inside especially the common area is quite pretty the staff is amazing however we paid around 210 euros n it was absolutely not worth it.

My husband and I wanted to walk to restaurants and entertainment in the evenings, and Maison Tofani was a great choice. Located on the main tourist street in Sorrento (just 100 feet off Tasso Square, the central piazza, which was a little off-putting at first), MT is an oasis in that chaos. Its at a 5 - 8 min. walk from the marina and two steps away from the main square where you can find amazing restaurants and coffee shops .. YES, Gelato too!!! What really impressed me about this restaurant was the amazing breakfast buffet that they offer every morn... Read more

We have just returned from a super, seven night stay at Maison Tofani. The hotel is in the perfect location, in the centre of the old town, close to the station and an easy walk to the port. The staff were so friendly, kind and helpful, they could not do enough for us. The rooms were great, spacious, beautiful and very comfortable. The breakfasts were amazing and in such a stunning room! We loved our time here and would recommend Maison Tofani without reservation.

Stunning rooms, excellent location, delicious breakfast, perfect for a short stay. Service was excellent too, would definitely recommend and return ourselves! Very clean and we enjoyed sitting on the roof terrace in the early evening.

Hotel and amenities are first class. Staff were friendly and attentive throughout stay. Hotel is located perfectly for exploring the city and popping to restaurants in the evening. Rooms are grand and luxurious, perfect for romantic breaks. Stunning roof terrace for enjoying drinks and views over the Gulf of Naples. Only negative is that some rooms can be quite noisy at night if they face onto streets with bars, etc.

We stayed here two nights on a tour. The rooms were clean and larger that I expected for a European hotel. We met the owner, and it turns out she likes to bake, and works in the kitchen in the mornings to help prepare breakfast. She had baked some light pastries for a snack the first night, which were incredible. The hotel staff was very friendly, and we especially enjoyed talking to Antonio at the bar in the evening. The hotel is built around a small cobblestone courtyard, and is of some h... Read more

Visited for a week in September and fulfilled all promises. Charming historic elegant - at the heart of Sorrento historic district. Grown up vibe so maybe not ideal for families. Beautiful interiors and spacious accommodation. Busy location so if you require a more sedate setting it's not for you. This location is main lining the dolce vita. We loved it.

In short: Great place and nicest staff you'll ever meet. It's in sort of a shared building with other businesses but you don't really notice it. There is a cute cat that lurks around which our 5 year old found entertaining. The hotel is in a GREAT spot and you are in the middle of the pedestrian walkway where all the touristy shops are (the closest road is a minute walk). No parking close by and you need to find a car park close by. The hotel guide you to it. You have to pay for keeping you... Read more

A fantastic place to stay in the heart of the Sorrento. Close enough to walk to the station, the port (a lot of stairs though! Take the lift) and wander along the streets. Given the location we expected the rooms to be relatively noisy but were pleasantly surprised at how well the rooms kept out the hustle and bustle of the market streets below. The rooms were a perfect mix of modern and rustic charm. Staff were very friendly. The breakfast area was beautiful as was the food. The only thing st... Read more

This hotel is ran by the Tofani family who were super nice and helpful. Our hotel room was clean, comfortable, and with an amazing view of off the balcony of the streets below which were already decorated for Christmas. The hotel is centrally located to all the sites. The breakfast was amazing and the dining room was beautifully decorated. We will be back!

I would name this the best hotel in Sorrento! The rooms and hotel itself are very unique. It is filled with art and beautiful design. Our room was the loft with Terrace. It was clean, cosy with great amenities. The staff were very helpful and always ready to assist when needed. The breakfast here was the best of the trip! Highly recommended!
