We stayed for one night on 22 May, 2016 for a tour of Sorrento and Capri. Food was included in our tour and to be honest we were not expecting the beautiful selection we had for dinner and breakfast. Staff were all most welcoming and the views from the terrace are spectacular. So a thumbs up from me.

Traditional grand Italian hotel with superb sea views. Quiet and relaxing. Though room was compact, balcony was spacious. Ample hot water. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast in dining room was good. We also had breakfast on our balcony and that is highly recommended. Location of hotel is ideal for visiting the shops and restaurants in the old town. If you take a taxi from the railway station where the Naples airport bus arrives to the hotel it will cost about 20 euros but the taxis ar... Read more

We arrived at the hotel and we're pleased to see the location was excellent. Reception staff very pleasant. Then we were taken to our room 126 which was two flights of stairs down???? The room was a pleasant size and door opened to balcony with wonderful view. But it was May and the weather was changeable and we were cold in the room. Extra blanket in wardrobe. We couldn't work the air con. We asked at reception and they weren't very helpful in explaining how it worked. Days later a maintainance... Read more

Staying at the Imperial Hotel Tramontano, in Sorrento Italy, was like stepping back in time to the days of opulence and grandeur! The service was absolutely fantastic, the room was beautifully appointed, colorful, and the window opened to a beautiful view of the Bay. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner, as well, and the hotel is within easy walking distance to all the other restaurants and shopping. The views are breathtaking, the grounds are colorful, fragrant, full of flowers. Absolutely a won... Read more

Wonderful Hotel with incredibly friendly staff. This hotel is set in lush gardens and in an excellent position, right in the middle of town, near to everything you need, from shops, cafes, wonderful restaurants and the lift to Marina Piccola (for all your boat trips) is just around the corner, also the short walk down to gorgeous Marina Grande is just the other side of the hotel. The views are truly stunning, so highly recommend a sea view room. We were blown away by a fabulous upgrade to a magn... Read more

This is my third visit to Sorrento, weather was very good this time of the year. We stayed for 3 nights at this charming hotel, a very pleasant stay overall. My initial room was a bit dark because of the blue floor and it was a garden terrace view but it was not suitable for me, so changed to a room with a balcony which was much better. The staff very friendly and helpful. The terrace was a bit small but had a huge lovely well kept garden as you enter the hotel and had a medium size swimming poo... Read more

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and wished we could stay longer! The views from their outdoor terrace and restaurant are spectacular! Their breakfast was incredible, the selection of food was huge and varied. The waiters during breakfast and dinner were so professional, friendly and happy to converse with us. Our room was clean and comfortable. We were in walking distance to the shops, cafes and restaurants. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

I have stayed at the Imperial on eight occasions in the past ten years and sadly the old lady is starting to show signs of age. My last visit was not the best, but I do blame the hotel and Citalia equally. Lets start with the positives. The views, location and staff were as wonderful as ever. There is no finer experience than sitting on the terrace of the Tramontano, with an Aperol spritz in your hand, as you watch the sun go down over the bay of Naples. The room was good and cleaned every day with fresh toiletries but the floor did not get swept. I could have complained but the bed lined was changed every other day and the rest was very very good. Breakfast was very good, lots of choice, and the staff very helpful. The pool area was lovely to relax when we had no trips on. The only disappointment was that the pool and the pool area closed at 6 pm. Mini bar is expensive - 6 euros for a bottle of water. We found a self service shop. We made our first visit to Sorrento early in June. We booked this hotel on the recommendation of a friend who had been several times. We had a garden view room, which was very good. We had 219 on the 2nd floor. The only downside of garden view is you do get some street noise, but it's not too obtrusive. There was a large black dog belonging to an apartment next door and we heard his barking a few times. The upside was the view of the bats coming out from their roost in twilight... Read more
