I stayed here for three nights. The room was small, though I was with my three kids. Breakfast was fine, and they did provide GF and DF food and milk. I did not sleep well though. The beds are rock hard and tiny so that when you turn over, you almost feel as if you will fall out. I am 5"3 tall and slim. I cannot imagine an adult man sleeping in a bed like this. The room was stuffy and heated, but when I put on the AC it started to rattle, waking me up. The room was also completely uninspiri... Read more

Stayed at the Hotel Sorrento City for three nights this past week. Hotel is a 5 minute walk to the train station and a 5 minute walk to Plaza Tasso. It is in a perfect area and convenient area. There is a supermarket next door which is also convenient. The two ladies that work the reception desk was just a great help to us and gave us good advice while we were there in terms of sightseeing schedule. The rooms are cozy and clean. I would definitely stay here and would recommend this hotel t... Read more

Five of us stayed here as a family. We had booked a family room. When we got there the manager was very kind and gave us 2 rooms instead. This worked out much better for us and came at no extra charge. Reception gave us tips on where to eat that was good value and much appreciated. The hotel is extremely clean and comfortable. It's right in the centre and a 5 minute walk to the train/bus station. Breakfast was great with lovely coffee and pastries. Excellent value, would recommend to anyone visi... Read more

This small hotel is perfectly located on Sorrento's main street, but that is also the problem: We had a room at the front and there was lots of noise from traffic into room. Our bathroom smelled slightly from mold or something. Bed was too hard. Otherwise the hotel was fine: Nice and well kept finish, very clean, a very nice roof top terrace. Friendly and helpful staff at front desk.

This hotel is perfectly placed in Sorrento. It is about 100 metres from the main square and about the same distance to the railway station, which provides ready access to Naples, Pompeii and other interesting areas, Rooms are somewhat small, but very clean and functional withthe cost is appropriate to the service/standard provided. Breakfast is fine, being typical Italian fare. Found all the staff to be very helpful and freindly. All in all this is a decent quality hotel in a great location at... Read more

Exactly what we were looking for. Near to the station for our trip to Pompeii near to the centre of town for the people-watching and the food.. We were on the third floor with a small balcony looking down on the action; fabulous. The room was small but being in the middle of town, no smaller than we expected. Breakfast was fine, service very good, we were more than happy.. Looking forward to returning ! Met and spoke to several of the staff, all pleasant, smiling and helpful.

The place where it is located is fantastic, city tax is cheaper than any other hotel I have been to BUT the beds are hard as a rock and the breakfast was okay not a lot of choices on fruit. Felt as if we were eating lunch or dessert as oppose to breakfast but I also know that is the European way. Getting a back massage when I go home.

Good location near the city center. The whole city is walkable, once you've arrived. Very small rooms, like New York small. Average breakfast. Parking is very problematic. If you can avoid having a car in Sorrento, do it. We also stayed at Vhome in Sorrento and recommend it highly.

If you are looking for something comfortable and a bit more luxurious then this is not the place for you! This was our least favorite hotel of our trip through Italy, but that said it is clean, cheap and has good air con in the rooms. The location is right in the middle of the city which is great for getting about in the evening, it's a little noisy at night though and the beds are hard and tiny! We were only there for 2 nights to explore Sorrento and go to the beach so it worked for us, but I... Read more

Two nights spent in this lovely hotel right in the middle of Sorrento. Booked on line, so not sure what to expect. Hotel was clean and comfortable but what made it stand out from the rest was the warm and friendly staff who were incredibly friendly and helpful going out of their way on many occasions to resolve any minor issues we had. Would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and will stay again if I have the occasion to return to Sorrento.

This hotel is right in a heart of Sorrento, nice hotel with lovely terrace on a top. Room was a good size, air-conditioned with balcony right above the busy street which was lively and noisy but as soon as you closed the door you couldn't hear a think. We had couple of slight issues dust, few hairs etc but after speaking to receptionist these were solved quickly. Overally a great stay

I stayed at Hotel Sorrento City with my kids and we loved it!! Great room! Clean and lots of towels. Very comfortable. Great breakfast. We had our own patio, too! The staff is very welcoming, friendly, and super helpful. Close to food, transportation, shopping. The train is a short walk. Ferries to Capri and Naples and Positano an easy downhill walk. I highly recommend this lovely hotel & will stay here again.

A good hotel, perfect location (really close to an incredible view of the coast line and walking distance from the train station), clean, and very nice staff. This was probably our least favorite hotel we stayed while in Italy, but that's simply because it wasn't as nice as the other places we stayed. Bed wasn't super comfortable either.

Stayed here for a single night upon arriving in Italy in July, 2016. Since we were only planning a single night and traveling from Rome we were more interested in a convenient location near the train station than one of the more expensive hotels near the harbor. As it turned out, one of the best things we did was to take the ferry from Napoli rather than the train, as it was relaxing and very scenic, as opposed to the crowded train. However, that meant that the location near the train station... Read more

Location is second to none. The rooms are modern, clean and of a good size. The bed was quite firm but some may like that. I would have liked a mattress topper or something to soften it a little. The breakfast was good and all the staff were lovely. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel and would certainly recommend.

The staff was very friendly and offered many local suggestions and directions. The location of this hotel was perfect, right in the center of town, about a 10-15 minute walk from the port and water. Also, only a 1-2 minute walk from the best pizza place (Franco's) and gelato place in town. The rooftop was a great area to hang out at night. The room was clean but pretty small (typical European) and the breakfast wasn't that great, but included with the room rate so happy to have it.

The room was OK. You don't really expect facing a wall when opening a window in Sorrento, but we did! breakfast was not great. location is great as the hotel is at the center of the city and close to everything. Hotel is fine for a short stay. The breakfast is limited but the rooms are clean and the hotel location is excellent. Top tip, don't leave your car with the 'valet' service they offer. Our car returned absolutely filthy and with a scratch on it. The hotel was very quick to say it's not their problem and the car company really rude. At 18 Euro per day, there's cheaper and better services nearby.
