We stayed a week in the Miramare. We had to get a 15 euro daily upgrade for a bay view but it was worth it. Parking was also 15 euros per day but well worth it. Our room was clean and had a kitchenette with a stove and fridge. The staff was friendly and helpful. Sorrento is not a great jump off point for exploring the area as the traffic is horrible and it took twenty minutes or more to get out of the city. The breakfast room was nice and the breakfast was adequate. The pool was nice and had a g... Read more

Location, view, night view, the feeling of rooms and view, it is just magical, it is in a small walking distance to the center of Sorrento, which is fun to walk especially in the evening times, i would highly recommend it.

The staff in this hotel are really helpful and friendly. We had a twin room which was spacious and clean with the added bonus of a small terrace. The views across to Vesuvius are spectacular best seen from the swimming pool. It's a good 15 minute walk uphill from the centre but the views make up for this. The one downside is the mad traffic. The hotel entrance is right on the road - no pavement - with blind bends on either sides. Very scarey!

the hotel is up a slight hill and on a bend with no pavement as others have said. Crossing the road here is traditional Italian and same as Amalfi etc. The views of the bay and ambiance in the hotel together with the self catering made it a good choice. Staff are very friendly. We got put on the wrong room first day which was quickly sorted with no fuss. However the rooms on the third floor are much nicer and worth the extra money. See photo. wifi is also variable and third floor best Tips - ... Read more

We would go back to this hotel. The views are wonderful and our rooms were large and comfortable, although simply furnished. The staff were excellent. It takes 15 minutes to walk into the centre but a little longer to get to the marina where the best restaurants are. The little kitchen didn't have a kettle which would have been useful.

Located up the Via Capo out of town, it's about a 15-20 minute walk down into Sorrento, which is great for giving fabulous views over the bay, and for walking off all that delicious pasta. The staff were friendly and helpful, and even helped my husband learn a little Italian! Cocktail happy hour on the terrace looking at the sunset - fab :-) The road is busy and there is no pavement directly outside the hotel, which is on a bend, so we took care but Italian drivers seem to accommodate tourists... I have recently returned from a week's holiday staying at this hotel with three lady friends (husbands left at home!), We stayed in a one bedroom apartment which had two single beds and two single sofa beds with a modern bathroom. This had a sea view but no balcony and was on the road side of the hotel which was a busy road. The walk into Sorrento was downhill with great views and the walk back up wasn't too onerous either as the hill was a gentle climb. The continental breakfast was fresh and... Read more

Just returned from this beautiful place on 13th June 16 and cannot wait to go back. Apart from the amazing views and the wonderful town of sorrento only being a 10-15 minute walk away from this hotel, the staff made our holiday even more special...they were helpful, genuine, funny and charming people (especially Joseph and Angelo with the charm lol) they could not do enough for us. The rooms where large, bright and comfortable with windows all along the wall facing the bay of Naples. The balcony although small overlooks the courtyard and pool with a wonderful view of downtown Sorrento and the City's waterfront. We had the garden room that was at the end of the row - I think room 408. The garden rooms were refurbished in May and our room was done to a really nice standard. Having the garden & patio area was a highlight with the magnificent views and, as we were at the end, privacy. I don't know what other rooms would be like because the hotel hasn't finished the refurbishement. The staff were all exceptionally friendly - we were made to feel very welcome. This was our last stop during a tour of Italy for our honeymoon. The hotel is slightly away from the town of Sorrento & actually this was the best - the views from here are gorgeous & you're lifted away from the busy hustle & bustle of the port & the town. Our room, a standard with sea view, is so big it could almost be an apartment! We stayed for a week at this hotel. We had paid extra for a superior room with a balcony and sea view. The room was very basic and although it did have a balcony it only really leaded itself to a drying area for our towels. Our balcony sat over the corner of the main road. Wouldn't class it as a 4 star hotel but it is definitely a very good 3 star hotel and the staff cannot do enough for you. The only drawback is the road outside.
