Stayed here in mid April and the hotel was a lovely addition to an amazing trip. Hard to beat the central location just off the main square Piazza Tasso. Pretty much everything is walking distance including the port and the train station. Staff where more than helpful and friendly, the breakfast staff made the morning start off on the right note, very friendly and funny at the same time..Rooms were nice and comfortable, kept clean and fresh always. Great rooftop pool with unbelievable view of th... Read more

Hotel centrally located in shopping area and close to boats/busses. Had to inquire at tourist information area for directions to find hotel and secure car parking since they are located in restricted area. Hotel staff very friendly and went out of their way to ensure our time in Sorento was pleasant

If location was everything this hotel would get top marks. Situated just off the main Tasso square, with restaurants/ shops and churches on your doorstep as well as right by the remaining gorge with steps down to the bottom leading onto a road heading to the port. However you will not have views over the beautiful bay and so if you are after that this is not for you . The hotel itself is very comfortable , the rooms are spacious and relaxing with an authentic feel about them . The staff are s... Read more

Fantastic small hotel,Just off Tasso Square, within easy walking distance of all the sights of Sorrento. Staff were all fantastic, with nothing to much trouble. Rooms were comfortable and spotless. The roof terrace was great,to just sit and enjoy the view across the bay to Vesuvius and Naples, with a nice cold drink/coffee brought by Antonio,or even a dip in the pool. Would strongly recommend to anyone, hope to visit again.

We stayed for 5 nights and the highlight of our stay was breakfast daily with Vittorio & Rosanna. Yes rooms were pleasant and spacious. rooftop view lovely but we didn't find it warm enough to swim. What we did enjoy though and what made our stay memorable was the lovely banter with the waiter at breakfast - we would stay again. The hotel was well located to Tasso Square, an easy walk to the port and right next to the main market area. Also an easy walk to the train station. We travelled to Pompe... Read more

The hotel was lovely, all of the staff could not of been more helpful, the location was great just a very short walk to the square, there was a good choice of food for breakfast, I really can not fault the hotel.

The hotel hides down a narrow alley Via Sant'Antonino and is accessed by walking through outdoor restaurants providing local colour. All the hotel staff could not have been more helpful. The room was comfortable and cleaned to a high standard daily. Breakfast was plentiful and Vittorio was entertaining as well as ensuring you had everything you need. The roof bar terrace provided a great view of the sea, Vesuvius and Tasso Square when you wanted to relax with a quiet drink or light lunch. Th... Read more

This hotel is perfectly positioned 20 yards from the main square and directly above the port and only a short walk from the train station. There are great restaurants and bars nearby and more shops than you will ever need. The rooftop bar is very scenic with a small dip pool and the service from the staff was excellent. What let the hotel down for us was the very small room we were given with only a brick wall for a view. Also the breakfast is served in a windowless cellar - and is very poor qu... Read more

A great position and great staff. But as always spoiled by the detail not managed well by owners who treat their staff with disrespect and blame them of their failings. Hotel failed to tell anyone that it cannot be reached by car. Have to lug cases along cobbled streets. Not great when you are paying. £200 a night. B&B. Bedrooms and bathrooms excellent. Breakfast room a total disappointment. Beautiful building converted with care. Breakfast in an underground windowless tiny room which cannot ... Read more

The staff was great - no issues at all. We had only a few questions but received all the help we needed with a smile. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel's location was perfect - not directly on the main street which comes with tons of noise, but instead off a side alley that still keeps you in the middle of all the action. All of the major shops, restaurants, etc. were easily within walking distance. The highlight of our stay (and everyone's, if you read other reviews) was the o... Read more

The hotel is very central, being only 30 yards down a narrow lane, off the main Plaza Tasso. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable, with towels changed daily. We stayed their with friends for 10 days and thoroughly enjoyed our visit ...l all of us are quite fussy about our accommodation, however we had no complaints on that count. The only issue we had concerned the fruit juice served at breakfast, which was not pleasant. Otherwise there was a good selection of yoghurt, cereal, fruit, eggs... Read more

What a wonderful find on the heart of Sorrento! We understand that this small boutiquehotel was originally a palace of the Guardati family dating from the 17th century. Opened as a hotel in 2007, it has a classic feel with modern amenities. Marble is abundant, room sizes are comfortable and it is easy to maneuver, with or without the elevator. The staff was very pleasant and very helpful, especially Antonio who works the rooftop escape (small pool, relaxing lounge atmosphere and panoramic view)!... Read more

Very nice, clean comfortable hotel, located a couple of streets back from the main hussle and bussle. Rooms were large and comfortable and the bed was extremely comfortable. Bathroom was light and airy and only minor grumble was the hairdryer which was almost candle-powered. Breakfast was excellent with choices of fruit, baked goods and meat/cheese platters - enough to set you up for the day. If you are looking for a base, this is a great place to start. centrally located hotel steps away from the center square. the restaurant next door is a Michelin star. the rooftop pool looked refreshing unfortunately we did not have time to use it. next time for sure. Cabs will not take you to the hotel unless you pay a ridiculous amount, but it is very close to the train station, just be prepared to walk with your luggage. the room was very large and had a view of the street with a tiny almost Juliet style balcony. the bathroom was very large and nice... Very stylish, central hotel in Sorrento, lovely old style building and rooms. Nice sun deck and bar on the rooftop, with a plunge small pool. Bar attended by stylish and attentive Antonio who was always on hand for a pool towel, a cool beer or Aperol Spritz. Breakfast was a delight with sunny Rosanna welcoming everyone and making you feel at home.

Great hotel right in the heart of Sorrento. The staff is very nice and helpful. The rooms are clean and beds comfortable. The rooftop patio has beautiful views and is a peaceful place to relax, go for a swim or have a drink. If you like a city location and like to be right in the center of it all, this hotel is perfect.

1. Dried up poo hanging off the side of the toilet bowl (disgusting) 2. Sounds of neighbouring restaurant kitchens all night to keep you up 3. The guy who serves breakfast is a creep. No shame at all. Will perve at your wife head to toe infront of you and mumble under his breath. Absolute joke and was 10 seconds away from getting his eyes gouged out. Worst part is that they pretend nothing is wrong. Stay away. Plenty of better places in Sorrento.

We planned a trip to Italy, visiting Sorrento choosing a 4 stars hotel so with high expectations. Palazzo Guardati is a nice boutique hotel located beautifully in the hart of Sorrento. The stuff is very pleasant and size of the room is ok. During the first night we had hard time sleeping due to ants that was travelling all through our bad. We change a room and show ants are a full time residence. Our official answer from the hotel was that we brought food to the room that attracts the ants. I h... Read more
