This was our first visit to Sorrento and our holiday was made perfect by this fantastic hotel. It was everything we imagined a hotel in Italy would be. We stayed in a suite which was spacious, comfortable, had 2 bathrooms and the most lovely classic Italian furniture and tiled floor. The view from our balcony was unbelievable and even in March we had warm weather and sunshine. The food in the hotel is delicious and offers a wide choice for all meals and is especially good for vegetarians. Thi... Read more

The hotel is in a lovely position overlooking the sea and about a 15 mins walk into the town. There are lots of steps so if you have any mobility issues then this is a problem although the hotel does have a lift. Hotel spotlessly clean and the staff really friendly. Breakfasts were excellent and the views were amazing. If you are going to pompeii get the train from sorrento and the express train takes just 20 mins and is very cheap. The bus along the coast is an experience so if you get travel ... Read more

We were treated like royalty here! Unbeknownst to us at the time we checked in, we were actually upgraded to a larger suite, which was very kind of them. Throughout our stay they recommended great restaurants (Sophia's, I believe was one of the names) & the gentleman who waited on us each night for drinks went out of his way to make us comfortable. The views from our room were amazing and the hotel was close enough to other places that you could easily get around by taxi. We wouldn't hesitate fo... Read more

A minor confusion on transfer from Naples put right by the professional and ever smiling reception manager Francessco led us into a dream 5 days at the hotel. Views to die for yet a short and safe 10 minute walk into Sorrento itself. The rooms immaculate with probably the best views on the coast. The dining experience second to none with the Maitre 'd , Michelle, offering advice , guidance yet unobstrusive in that old school , genteel way . An amazing place to stay. The staff were very friendly. Excellent breakfast, with a good variety. Could be a little quieter, but that is only because of the tiled floors. Views from the balcony were amazing. Would recommend. Would be happy to go back.

We've just spent a really enjoyable week at the Hotel Belair - we were met at the door by a friendly hotel porter and from then on, nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. The hotel is kept very clean, food is good and the views are spectacular. A really good base for visiting places like Pompeii, Herculaneum, Capri and the Amalfi coast. Gianluca and Rossano deserve a special mention for their good humour and patience with our attempts at speaking Italian.

The accommodation and food is first class but it is the staff who make it operate so well. Let me start by mentioning that this was our fourth visit to the Belair, so we already knew what to expect. This is a beautiful hotel with arguably the best views of any in Sorrento. We decided to upgrade our room type this year and chose a junior suite - we were delighted with room 307 which had a larger than average terrace and which we used to enjoy the views, weather and the odd glass or two! As always the attention to detail, the professionalism and friendliness of all of the staff was sec... Read more

Stunning views, exceptional service! We stayed for three nights and never wanted to leave. Our room was beautiful, clean and incredibly large. Our patio had a table with four chairs, a dual lounge chair and an enormous jacuzzi. It was surreal.

On previous visits to Sorrento, I have stayed in the town but on this occasion we decided to try the Belair for the views and were not disappointed. We had a junior suite which had a large terrace overlooking the bay and marina below. The room was large and comfortable and the bathroom was spacious with separate bath and shower. The restaurant has the same amazing views and serves an excellent menu every night. The restaurant manager, Michele, is a true gentleman and oversees everything to ... Read more

I just can't imagine a hotel anywhere in the world with a better view! Absolutely breathtaking!! The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. And we loved our breakfasts that were included with our stay. There was quite a variety and you could order eggs and omelettes. Our only complaint was our toilet had an odor and we had to keep the bathroom door closed. We did let them know the next to last day of our stay and they were going to look into it. We should have said something earlier but sin... Read more

We have now stayed here twice because you cannot beat the views. The staff is also very helpful and friendly. The pool is nice but shaded in the afternoon. The breakfast is good, too. I appreciate that they don't nickle-and.dime you, either, as parking and breakfast are included. I highly recommend staying here!

This was our first trip to Sorrento and we were not disappointed. We loved Hotel Belair. The hotel was great from start to finish, the staff are all friendly and can't do enough for you. The Hotel room: We had a Junior suite on level -3, we had a large balcony with breathtaking views of the bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius, we also had a great view of the Grande Marina. The bed was comfy, the room was clean and we had loads of room. The hotel provides free wi-fi, the room had a flat screen tv... Read more

Best hotel ever! The staff are wonderful, friendly and attentive. They make you feel part of the family. The food is good - portions not too big so you can enjoy four courses. Michele the maitre d' and his team really look after you. From arrival to departure I couldn't fault anything and, of course, the view across the Bay of Naples to Vesuvius is fantastic!

Lovely hotel... stayed here end of September for 14 nights. Amazing views over the bay of Naples, amazing staff Everyone very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Wide selection of food at breakfast, and a pleasant change to have an a la carte dinner with waiter service every night with a different menu over the 14 nights. Never had the same meal twice. Michele and all the waiters were pleasant and attentive. Very enjoyable and relaxing holiday, would definitely recommend to family and fr... Read more

Fabulous hotel with spectacular views. We had a week in a superior room, 212, with a large balcony including table and chairs, and two sunbeds. The room itself was a good size with a good wardrobe and plenty of drawers, decent bathroom with shower and bath, good television and fridge. This was our second visit to the hotel and it‚??s easy to see why some people stay here year after year. Breakfast had just about everything including fresh fruit, cereals, cold meat and cheese, bacon, sausages e... Read more

We have just returned after a stay of 10 days. All rooms have a fantastic view as shown in hotel pics. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and they are all extremely helpful. We were half board and The restaurant served regional Italian food all overlooked efficiently by the Head waiter Michele who ran a very smooth ship. Special mention to our waiter Luigi who was always very quietly efficient and friendly. He also did a Brilliant job in the absence of the Head waiter for a day. Monica an... Read more

The maitre de was so apologetic and offered another meal! It wasn't a problem but they pride themselves on their high standards - very impressed. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The bed linen and pillows were spotless! We could not fault the accomodation or staff in anyway The hotel is close to the town - abou... Read more

Stayed for two nights in October. Even though this was a two night stay the room was huge with seperate seating area, walk-in wardrobe and large bathroom. Views are amazing with vesuvius directly across the bay in front of you. the balcony has a table and chairs and was slightly overlooking the pool area. Check-in was swift and easy and a porter brings the bags to the room. Staff are very friendly and happy to help. I used the hotel to make a reservation for a restaurant on the Saturday and th... Stayed in the Hotel Belair for three nights, beautiful hotel, amazing views. Staff friendly and very helpful. Arranged a trip to the Amalfi Coast for us, cost was ‚?¨75pp, minibus with 4 other people collected us from the hotel, driver spoke good English and was informative about the area we visited. Walk to center took about 10-15 minutes, it is a busy road but there is a footpath, it is uphill coming back but it's a nice walk and not a struggle. Views from the balcony are spectacular. My wife and I just spent 4 nights (Oct 21-25) and loved it there. The room was large and comfy and the view from the balcony was spectacular. The breakfast was great with lots of variety. We ordered omelettes on 2 of the mornings and having breakfast on the balcony was breathtaking. Loved the coffee they served with frothed milk. Never got to use the pool but did use the workout area twice. It is not much of a gym but enough for a good workout while on vacation, and the view of the water was ava... Read more

Wonderful 3 night stay at Hotel Belair. Stunning views, friendly staff (especially Gianluca!) and perfect overall location for walking to town. I can't say enough about the location....right on the water. Many other very nice hotels are across the street. This was fabulous - right above a small marina/fishing village with views of the entire bay, the ferries coming and going and Mount Vesuvius.Rooms are spacious and comfortable, albeit a bit outdated, but everything else about the hotel far outw... We stayed in this hotel off season and still it was very busy. I can understand its popularity since it is situated high near the cliffs having an amazing view to the Vesuvius and the beautiful town of Sorrento. Good things first: the breathtaking view from the cute little balcony, the sufficient breakfast, the helpful staff and the location. The only downs for us were: although from outside the hotel might look very fancy, the room was anything but. Tiles all over, I wished there would have bee... Read more

We stopped here for a week for our 30th wedding anniversary. We would sum it up in just one word - perfect. All the staff were very helpful, the food was excellent and the room we had, a senior suite, was incredibly spacious. Little touches like having the room turned down every evening was an added bonus. he bed was spacious and extremely comfortable. The view from our balcony was probably one of the best in the world. I would definitely recommend this hotel and we hope to return in the future.

We stayed at Hotel Belair for 10 days in October and it truly was a wonderful holiday. The hotel is built into the cliff with reception, the bar and dining room (with terrace) on floor zero and the bedrooms and swimming pool on the floors beneath. I must say that they hotel is lovely. We were surprised where the taxi driver dropped us off because there was nothing, but an elevator above ground. The whole building is built into a cliff overlooking the port. Our room (and the bathroom) was very generous in size with a quaint balconey and a beautiful view of the water and even Mount Vesuvius. The problems we did have may be minor to some. The room was very noisy. We had ants in the bathroom. Every evening it sounded like a soccer team... Read more

This was the first stop on our tour of the Amalfi Coast and it was fabulous. We were on our honeymoon and we received an upgraded room with a larger room and larger terrace. While we were about a 10 minute walk to the town this was more than offset by the views, it was spectacular both morning and night (I do not believe the view would be as good if you stayed in the town).
