The Ascot is a comfortable hotel located on the main road through Sorrento. It takes about 12 minutes to stroll to the main square, Tasso Square, one must be careful of the traffic. Most of the rooms in the hotel have a balcony which is nice to relax on but the one we occupied did not, which was a bit of a drawback. The room was of good size as was the bathroom and was nicely decorated. A flat screen TV and a kettle was provided which was good for a tea. Plenty of wardrobe storage. The room was... Read more

The hotel was nice and in a good location but nothing special. Beds were hard, air conditioning didn't work well. Neighboring hotel has a lounge singer that could be heard on speakers through the whole neighborhood (and he was terrible) until 11:30 at night. Heard even with earplugs. The front desk receptionist however was lovely and very helpful.

Hotel Ascot is located very near Tasso square and the old town where all the shops and restaurants are sited. The hotel itself is clean with very friendly staff. Cleaning and linen changing is daily and excellent. The decor could be described as dated and the towels are overdue for renewal as they are worn. Food is good and varied.

I have just returned home from 10 wonderful days at this hotel in beautiful Sorrento! After reading some recent reviews on here and seeing the hotels website i was a bit worried. A very nice but average Hotel. Great Location. Look for rooms at the back on the 3rd/ 4th floor as rooms to the front and side are very noisy due to a Hospital close by. Ambulance every five mins especially as most people drive scooters (sometimes on the wrong side of the road). Food nice and Hotel is very accommodating if you want a choice for Breakfast/Dinner. Nice but small swimming Pool. Cant really fault the Hotel.
