We stayed here for one night on our way to Venice but wished we had spent far more time here -the hotel is fantastic and the staff were all so welcoming and helpful-we were given a lake view room and as it was a beautiful sunny day the outlook was breathtaking -breakfast could have taken all day as there was so much choice-we are definitely planning a return visit

My boyfriend and I arrived at lunch and were greeted very warmly at the door! Our double room had a charming appeal about it, was very comfortable, very clean and had plenty of storage space. The bathroom was larger than expected, clean and modern. The hotel is in a great location...! Right in the heart of everything! And it has a very handy car park in the front of the hotel for convenience. During our stay we only managed to experience the hotels breakfast service. And we were not left without... Read more

This was our second visit to this hotel and it was every bit as charming as we remembered it. Our room was large, clean and had a lovely view of Lake Garda. All the staff were so helpful and friendly. The breakfasts were brilliant! All the choices of savoury food you could wish for and, the best of all, home-made cakes! We will certainly return.

Lovely family run hotel. We was greeted with a complimentary glass of wine, plenty of information & a warm welcome. This hotel is perfect for exploring Lake Garda & the surrounding areas, beautiful views on the lake side. The rooms were spacious & spotless. Breakfast was delicious with plenty to choose from including homemade cakes, a range of hot choices & continental selection. Would definitely return & recommend staying here.

I have travelled for business and pleasure for many years, and never have I seen the extraordinary level of service that we received at the Hotel Marconi. Carlo, Mario and Mustafa were the ones we had the pleasure of speaking with the most, but it was obvious there is a large staff behind them that see to all the perfection guests receive. It was amazing! We will return to Sirmione just to stay at Hotel Marconi, and visit our friends again. I will spare you the details, but it was amazing, and v... Read more

We stayed there one night in our way to Slovenia. This hotel is really well located surrounded by old fortifications. Just notice that depending on your time of arrival it is not easy to get to the hotel by car (really narrow streets crowded with people) The rooms were clean and newly renovated. Really peaceful. The breakfast was amazing and you can sit outside to look at the lake. The bad thing I can say about this hotel : if you want to leave early forget about that. No one at the front desk... Read more

At the end of our holiday and on the way home we decided to visit Lake Garda, from the moment we arrived the staff great. The hotel is across the bridge into the old city and is a great location to visit this charming town. The room was fairly new and very spacious. The staff reminded us at check in to ensure we took in the breakfast and that amongst the fresh squeezed orange juice, meats, cheeses, cereals, etc there was amazing collection of cakes to satify any morning sweet tooth someone mi... We arrived without a booking and organised the hotel through the tourist centre. This is a great option as you need a police permit to enter the old town and they can attend to the formalities. There are a range of options for various price ranges but our cheaper option was excellent and even had a side lake view from the small balcony. We ended up staying an extra night but needed to change rooms but did receive an upgrade. The rooms were good with full facilities and the second room had a small... Read more

Hotel Marconi is a lovely boutique hotel. It is situated a bit off the Main Street and has a parking area. Staff are extremely welcoming and accommodating. The kitchen serves breakfast, which is included in the price. Surprisingly the kitchen also offer lunch and dinner. For which you have to make a reservation, the latter not included in the price. Breakfast is lovely and ample. The chef home bakes the pastries, which are varied and plentiful. There are also ample non-sweets and protei... Read more

We initially had a different hotel booked in Sirmione (a 4* hotel), but cancelled that and re booked this hotel (only 3*) based on its exceptional reviews. I'm so glad we did! The hotel was wonderful, and fantastic value for money. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the sun deck area with a prime lake position is beautiful, and the room was spacious and lovely. Even though Sirmione is small inside the castle, the location is perfect, enough to be peaceful outside all the crowded str... Read more

Family run hotel father, mother, brother, sister. Could not do more for us. Breakfast buffet (Hugh and excellent) eliminates having to eat lunch? Location, location, location. Center of Sirmione, with exceptional relstraurants and easy access, after you figure out how much to drive there. Some noise (music) at but quiets by 10 pm. Lake area a real treat, Americans just finding the area. A hidden surprise 45 min away, 500 year old olive oil vineyard and 200 year old wine vineyard in same famil... Read more

Our room was serviceable, modern and clean, and the lovely service by family owners couldn't have been better. As well, the location in the heart of historic Sirmione was very convenient. Overall, however, for anyone looking for charm on the shores of Lake Garda there may well be better choices.

We have visited the Hotel Marconi on several occasions and are extremely fond of the Visani family and their staff. This visit was no exception and we booked to stay for a whole month in a lake view room rather than a shorter stay and visiting other regions like we always tend to do. We were not one bit disappointed and after a month the stay did not change our wonderful opinion and we were able to discover many ancient towns and castles a mere 20 minute drive away. This is a lovely hotel in the heart of Sirmione. They family who run it were friendly and ever so hospitable. My mother in law was staying at a nearby hotel which had no lake access or area to relax outside, the owner of the Marconi said she could use their facilities without us even having to ask. The outdoor space is great, I loved watching the sun set while sitting on a swinging chair! The precious family run Hotel Marconi is a treasure within the Castello walls of Sirmione. It is a short walk to the hotel from the bus drop off. The family manages the reception desk, the mother Ana does everything, as mothers do, and the father makes the incredible breakfast viennoiserie, lunch and dinner. Be sure to make a reservation for the lunch and dinner. This was our second stay. I want to live in that hotel. We recommend camera cinque, room 5, with a lake facing balcony. The afforda... What a magnificant hotel runned by a very nice family. We were treated like family! Very nice veranda in front of the like. Magnificant breakfast! I have never in my life eaten pies that were that delicious! When we left we received a delicious large cookie that was homemade! Delicous! You will not regret booking this one (if you are lucky to find a room :))

It's all been said by other reviewers so there's really not much more to add. The location is excellent, on the lake but in the heart of town just a few steps from the many bars, restaurants and shops. Also convenient for the ferry to other lakeside towns. It's not five star luxury but it is five star customer service. It's clean, compact and friendly. All of the staff are helpful and greet you warmly but the real star is the manager (owner?) who always goes the extra mile, and then some, to mak... Read more

The hotel Marconi is a family owned and family run good quality. The reception is warm and inviting. Rooms are smaller but in line with the price. Quality of the room is good. The garden patio on the lake is wonderful. Lounge chairs for the guests and rooms downstairs are very nice. We would just like to thank all the staff at the Hotel Marconi, from the lovely welcome every morning as we went for breakfast to the attention to detail with every query. The staff work really hard to make your holiday experience so good. The hotel is kept spotlessly clean and the decor has a lovely homely feel to it. We cannot wait to return sometime again with our family.

For various reasons I had to find an alternative to our hotel in Sirmione for the last 20 years. I settled for Hotel Marconi and I am very glad I did! Parking was very tight, so I left the car parked for my entire stay and spent the whole time in Sirmione. A very nice and friendly welcome and then I was shown my room in an adjoining building. It faced the "main street", Via Vittoria Emanuele II. Much noise during daytime, but after 11 PM it was very quiet until 7 AM. Breakfast is excellent with ... Read more

Spent three days in Sirmione at this family-run hotel. The property is right in the heart of the old town, with a private terrace overlooking the lake suitable for sunbathing, having a drink or writing your blog. The family are very friendly and are happy to provide advice on local restaurants and attractions. There is a lot to see in Sirmione and around the lake. What a place to stay - having to drive on to the peninsula through the controlled gate access is, initially, quite intense and having to drive through all of the pedestrians - but it becomes so worth it. Our favourite part of Lake Garda, and so nice to wander around of an evening, to the lake side, or down to the castle which is all illuminated of a night. If you happen to fall off a jetty (like I did) don't try to return through the restaurant - it is frowned upon. This hotel was just the bes... Read more

Just back from a 3 night stay with my wife and 2 children (15 & 11). The hotel staff and owners are so helpful and nothing was too much trouble.
