Had a wonderful time at the Hotel Sirmione. The location is fantastic, the service was great (especially Claudio who went out of his way to make us feel at home) and the food was very good too. We hope to return at some point and I would highly recommend anyone to stay here.

Hotel Sirmione, with its thermal spa, is a beautiful haven on the banks of lake Garda. The rooms are comfortable and the staff are excellent. The food included in the half-board package is outstanding. The evening meal (whilst naturally limited in choice) is a fine dining experience. We were never disappointed. The Maitre d' Massimo runs the restaurant with quiet efficiency and charm. The bar manager Claudio is fantastic. Always making us feel welcome and special. My two items of constructiv... Read more

We stayed in the hotel sirmione on a short break in may , what a superb place ! Sirmione is beautiful , situated right on the lake and the hotel itself is just next to the very pretty castle. We stayed in a comfort room overlooking the street, it was very clean and comfortable with great views of the castle to our left and the lake to our right when looking out of the French balcony. As we were on the 3rd floor we loved the little balcony overlooking the lake at the end of the corridor for an... Read more

Just back from spending 7 nights at Hotel Sirmione for our honeymoon. the hotel is lovely and situated in the heart of Sirmione, which is a very busy tourist attraction area with bus loads being shipped in daily! if your looking for a quiet town this is not it! however the hotel itself is nice and quiet! We had a superior room - 206. which overlooks the harbour to the left of the building. as it was our honeymoon we had a bottle of bubbly and strawberries waiting for us in the room when we arr... I decided to book this hotel for its central and ideal location based in the heart of Sirmione. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly too. We arrived a few hours before check in and they managed to get us a lake view room earlier than expected. The room was a tad small, but was extremely clean, and the large balcony overlooking the lake more than made up for the size of the room. Breakfast buffet was lovely too. We had a lake view room on the third floor. Lovely clean room, with great views. Nice touches such as bottle of prosecco and strawberries on arrival, then sweets left on our pillows each evening. Cleaners did a wonderful job and room was very clean. This hotel is in an excellent location for the town of Sirmione which is very beautiful. The breakfast was great with lots of choice and very well set out. We did not eat in the hotel as there are so many great places to try in the town. The only dow... Read more

We stayed at the Hotel Sirmione for 4 nights in early June. It is a nice hotel and I would recommend paying the extra for a superior room which gives a lake view. We were in room 42 which was large and being a corner room had a double aspect of lake view and a view of the square. It's just inside the walls of the old historic town on the Sirmione peninsula. It's perfectly located for walking around the old town (which gets extremely busy with tourists) but is a lovely place. Also it's adjacent ... Read more

We stayed at the Hotel Sirmione for 5 nights in May, having read about the poor vehicle access in the town we decided to take a taxi from Verona airport to the hotel (about 60 Euros), this proved to be a wise decision. In reality with the hotel positioned around 100 metres from the ferry port a car was not a necessity and would have proved to be a hindrance. In all respects (except for one) the hotel was perfect, friendly staff, perfect location, romantic, right next to the castle, superb view f... Read more

Stayed at hotel for two Eve's. Staff at front desk were not to friendly. Actually felt as if we was bothering them. Other than that was very nice. Room was nice, could have been a bit better. Bathroom was awesome in size. Did not have a room facing the lake wish we did. Pool area was ok, but older. Morning breakfast was awesome and great selection. Parking is about 1/4 mile away but they take you to and from your car. Very close to castle and is a great location.

Ok-can I say firstly that Sirmione is a beautiful place albeit extremely crowded. Hotel Sirmione is a wonderfully located hotel clean good breakfast fantastic sunset lake views, nice spa etc. However, I don't think it's acceptable to make guests endure overnight temperatures of over 26 degrees in their rooms. As I write this, I am sweating profusely having reported my rooms poor air conditioning 5 times over the past 3 days. I can't wait to get home for some sleep as I can't endure this any lon... The staff are welcoming and helpful. The hotel has an ideal location, steps from the castle, on the lake with a lovely view, very nice to sit and watch the boat traffic for breakfast. The air conditioning didn't fully function, it kept reverting to a higher temperature, which was a big problem in summer heat, the wifi was at times spotty, but a pleasant stay overall.

My husband and I took a cheeky 3 night break the end of June to Hotel Sirmione, and had an amazing relaxed break. We arrived early so our luggage was promptly stored whilst we nipped off for lunch and a glass of wine. We arrived back prior to 3pm and were shown to our room: we had a beautiful view and could look back on the castle, directly over a small harbour area and side on to the lake. This hotel has one of the best locations in Sirmione. Our expectations to the stay was high, and seemed to be too high. We got a nice room but tha atmosphere was distant and not specially welcoming. More like a busy city-hotel than a charming relais in Italy. The pool was termal and the spa could have been cleaner. You have to ask for service in this hotel, and maybe you get it. Male staff was grumpy and there were few smiles to find. The bar staff was an exception and delivered nice service.

This is a very nice European-style hotel that has some big pluses and minuses. Pluses are that it is uber-modern, efficient, marble-glass-chrome type of place with experienced, efficient staff, as you might expect for a four start hotel in a location literally swamped with tourists. The breakfasts are generous and high quality. The rooms are similarly tasteful, ultra-modern and most have quite gorgeous views of the lake. We stayed here for ten days and on the whole can't fault the holiday. As there were few negatives I'll mention these first: the rooms are tired and in need of a bit of attention; the dinner menu was a little limited and after a week repetitive; the pool was small; and we were unable to get into our room until 3pm despite arriving at 11.30am. As you can see none of these hugely problematic. The positives far outweighed the negatives: we had a comfort room which was ample with loads of storage spa... Read more

I have mixed feelings about this hotel. In some respects it was lovely and then others not so much. It wouldn't take a lot to get 4/5 stars but there are a few niggles. We arrived by car driving though the busy draw bridge which was an experience and then we were escorted to the hotel car park and transferred back by golf cart. It has been one of the top hotels many years ago and is still a good place to stay. The rooms are average and once in a while there is a bad smell in the floors. You need to make sure you understand what the pool is about. It's not a refreshing pool like one may expect. We made the mistake not reading the details.
