We visited Siena 15-19th April and stayed in the Alma Domus Hotel. The hotel is brilliantly placed on the edge of the medieval town. From our bedroom window we could see the beautiful Tuscan rooftops and the Domus. Lovely room, spotlessly clean and an adequate continental breakfast included. Reception staff varied from the plain unhelpful to one, willing to 'go the extra mile' (but the one poor experience shouldn't put off anyone thinking of booking this Hotel)

There is one compelling reason to stay at this hotel - the view. Absolutely stunning view from petite balcony on rooms facing the cathedral. Insist on a "vista". Otherwise, things are a bit plain. Breakfast includes no hot items and indeed no proteins. Little things like skimpy towels in bath don't enhance the experience. I am extending 4 rating based on the view.

Recently stayed at the Alma Domus for two nights while in Siena. I would definitely recommended! It is very clean with modern amenities and a fantastic location. Also, price was quite reasonable for such a great location. Front desk staff were helpful and welcoming.

Lovely location and I highly recommend a room with a view. Beds were fairly uncomfortable-very hard mattresses with scratchy blankets. Breakfast was not very good - mostly pre-packaged items with sad looking fresh fruit and warm milk for the cereal (despite being labeled "cold milk"). Staff were very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again but I would go to a bar to find my breakfast.

Currently at the hotel, I asked with my booking for a double bed and I even paid for a nice room with a view which actually has two twin beds together and a horrible cleaning product smell. When asked about the bed I got a bad reply like my asking was annoying the reception lady and was just told "that's how all our beds are in the hotel, sorry" and they are the most uncomfortable beds ever! Sometimes being nice to the guests is all that matters if you don't have what they need!
