There is one compelling reason to stay at this hotel - the view. Absolutely stunning view from petite balcony on rooms facing the cathedral. Insist on a "vista". Otherwise, things are a bit plain. Breakfast includes no hot items and indeed no proteins. Little things like skimpy towels in bath don't enhance the experience. I am extending 4 rating based on the view.

We visited Siena 15-19th April and stayed in the Alma Domus Hotel. The hotel is brilliantly placed on the edge of the medieval town. From our bedroom window we could see the beautiful Tuscan rooftops and the Domus. Lovely room, spotlessly clean and an adequate continental breakfast included. Reception staff varied from the plain unhelpful to one, willing to 'go the extra mile' (but the one poor experience shouldn't put off anyone thinking of booking this Hotel)

The room we had was nothing like the pictures you see available, the forniture are ugly and low quality, the bathroom is super basic and out of date, the view was looking to the air conditioning of another room. Only good thing: it was clean. Not worth it at all!

The room itself was pretty bare but very clean until someone in my school group (who I and the other two in my room thought was pretty rude) went and made (especially the bathroom) dirty. I don't blame housekeeping for not cleaning up after her. I wouldn't have either. There was a lovely lounge that looked like it had ... Read more

I asked for a pillow because the maides took it along with the comforters and the guy at the desk wouldn't give me one because it was my last night.. However, the breakfast was good and the breakfast worker was super nice and friendly. The hostile is very pretty and clean. Just don't ask for anything!!
