Booked through Topflight Holidays, this was a rare excursion through a Travel Agency for me, preferring Direct Bookings usually. This Hotel was exactly as Advertised, and although a little tired in places, it was a venue of Charm and not a little Style, Very good reception team, always helpful. Rooms Excellent, with top class cleaning Service as required. Pool Bar Only, which I found a Little strange for such a Hotel, but not a Drawback, Breakfast very good, with a well marshaled waiting service... Read more

LOCATION: we know Sorrento well so did not want to be in the middle of the buzzing life but near enough to enjoy it and return to peaceful Sant’ Agnello. The Hotel is a little walk from anywhere which for us was fine but if you have mobility problems this may not suit. ROOMS: Old fashioned hotel that has the typical Italian opulence but in need of updating in some areas such bedrooms in the main hotel which were bit tired looking. The upper terrace was nice but the pool side cafe disappointi... Read more

Well recommended hotel great value for money on half board basis and so accommodating for fussy eaters. A little off the beaten track but shuttle bus to and from centre or abit of a walk down a no pavement road but ok if you dont mind a stroll. Could benefit some entertainment in the hotel too for evenings if you'd rather be in hotel after dinner due to being away from centre but otherwise well recommended for value, beautiful decor and would visit again.

First class hotel, it's beautiful in the old style.Staff excellent ,friendly and helpful. Room size for a stadard twin was generous and very comfortable , bed very comfortable. The hotel situation was a 20 minute walk into town starting with a steep hill and given the traffic situation not for the faint hearted. Streets very narrow and pavements non existent. The hotel provided a shuttle bus though the times weren't very convenient. Once off Corsa Italia and into the old town traffic calmed dow... Read more

In some respects the hotel is ok (staff are nice). But overall the hotel is on the top of a steep bank and although there is a shuttle, it is a trek to get to and from. The food appalling. Rubbish... We had the buffet on first night as we arrived quite late and it was terrible. And expensive. The breakfast choice is even worse. Cardboard cornflakes, tinned fruit, cheap hotdog sausages. You get the picture. Also there is no shop in the hotel or anywhere near so you need to bring in water et... Read more

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights in May and while the staff were very attentive the hotel is a bit dated and tired! It was something out of the 1960s it was quite weird! Also it is too far from most attractions but the hotel does offer a shuttle bus which is great! The inclusive breakfast was also very good but overall if I was coming to Sorrento I would not recommend this hotel, max

Although this was a 'grand hotel' and things were just right, there was a 'sameness' about the place. If you want a quite, clean and well maintained hotel, this will fit the bill well. But ... After a few days of the 'piped music(?)', and the same breakfast choice, no entertainment, having to get the not too conveniently timed bus to the town (the hotel is quite a hike to the centre of town) I think 'something changing' would be good!

Architecturally, this is an impressive hotel. Murana glass lights, columns encased in contrasting leaves of wood, marble floors, acres of space and lots of bling. The quality of the service matches the décor and everything suggests that this hotel lives up to its 5 stars. We welcomed the upgrade offered to move from the back to the front of the hotel which overlooks the pool and the Bay of Naples, particularly as the rear overlooks an area of dilapidated and abandoned buildings. So far so go... Read more

Just spent a week here and thoroughly enjoy our stay, the food was fine, plenty of choice, almost too much choice. The evening menu was varied, well cooked and well presented breakfast buffet had a lot of choice. The staff were all excellent, efficient , nothing seemed to much trouble. Always friendly pleasant and helpful The room was clean, not spacious but more than adequate, Bathroom clean and pleasant with plenty of towels and shower gel shampoo etc. I have read some of the over reviews and... A stunning hotel. Beautiful surroundings. Our suite was spacious, comfortable and quiet. Receptionists always pleasant and helpful. Waiters excellent and always happy to help, especially the head waiter. A very special mention for Nikki, a great asset to the hotel.

This hotel is palatial in many ways, with large rooms, good food and very pleasant staff. It's just a shame it's location is a 20 to 25 minute walk from the centre of Sorrento along roads with either no or very narrow footpaths for most of the way. The hotel do provide a free shuttle bus, though the timings could be better, 9am, 10am, and 12 noon in the mornings, would have been better at 9, 10, and 11. No afternoon return before 4.45.

For many one of the pleasures of a break away from home is the ability to have a stroll out in the evening in the local town, parkland or garden. Not so easy to achieve at this hotel, situated in an admittedly quiet spot a couple of kilometres or so from the centre of Sorrento, and a fair walk along a pretty risky road into Sant' Agnello. The walk to Sorrento is alone an extremely busy road with narrow pavements, and requires fortitude. Not an attractive or enjoyable walk. Taste in design is o... Read more
