This hotel is quite unique, a beautiful castle overlooking the town, spacious rooms, impressive staircase, magnificent building with elegant charm. Excellent service, delicious breakfast, just a short walk to the centre. Great value for money, highly recommended. I will certainly come back!

A very charming castle, located a bit up the hill, 800m (very easy) walking till the beach. The rooms are simple(castle like), clean and big. Some bathroom facilities are available in the room. There is also a fridge, a hairdryer and an airco. On the roof of the hotel you can enjoy sunbathing but without pool or shower. The staff is very friendly and helpful. You can park your car by the castle entry(free of charge), but you need to leave your car key at the reception in case they need to move y... Read more

We stayed here for two nights, which was probably enough in Santa Margherita. The hotel is up a hill from the centre; but it was only around 10 minutes walk, maximum. The hotel has high ceilings and a huge central hall that opens up to the height of the hotel. Our rooms were comfortable, but not large, but gratefully air-conditioned!

If driving entrance to hotel very tight especially if driving anything bigger than a fiat. Rustic and charming from the outside Grounds were beautiful in June with everything in bloom lovely smell of Jasmine in the evenings. Very impressive hall and staircase our room was on the top floor a good size with excellent views. It was unusually hot while we were there and the a/c was totally inadequate. The lady who checked us in was friendly and the gentleman on at night was charming but the lady at ... Read more

I have traveled North Italy for 8 days and this was THE BEST hotel that we stayed in. Excellent hotel, good service, fantastic breakfast. It is a small castle with comfortable rooms and excellent service. It has two big terraces on the roof, one on a open sun and the other more in shadow. The look from there is fabulous, you can see the whole town and complete bay. It is surrounded with lots of greenery and flowers, in May we could smell Jasmine all over. You have to walk downhill 7 minutes to g... Read more

This is sort of like a castle on a very high hill with a drive that is so steep and windy that the cab driver had to call ahead to make sure there was a spot for him to turn around in. We were stuck and needed a last minute hotel and there was only one room left that they don't usually rent out and that was in the 2 bedroom annex. The woman at the desk told us it was an awful room but it's all they had. She was very honest and sweet about it and we were desperate so took it. We were assured ... Read more

Of the 2.5 weeks that the boyf and I traveled Europe, this was unanimously decided as the single best hotel we stayed at. The view was absolutely fantastic and the room ... wow, the room was phenomenal. Spacious, nice, and nice fuzzy blankets to cuddle up in with the windows open at night. This room was SO nice, in fact, that it turned into a vacation *within* a vacation. We had been jumping from city to city lugging backpacks around for so long that we took a whole day in Santa Margherita just ... Read more

Great views. The rooms are spacious and the breakfast offers much variety. Parking was included but we walked and took the bus and left the car parked for 3 days. The location is in between Portofino and Cinque Terre and the city centre is walking distance to get to the bus. There are many charming shops and restaurants to choose from. This is definitely a place to stay when in this area.

A very comfortable, clean and friendly hotel close to town. Great view of the town from your window. Great breakfast and friendly helpful staff. Parking spots fill up quickly and car park is very small. Staff do assist with parking arrangements.

We stayed here for three nights. The hotel is up a hill, with the most stunning views and guests have access to a superb rooftop terrace, which we used each day. Breakfast was simple, but adequate. Unfortunately, our room wasn't so good. On the plus side it was clean and basic, but we were given a type of annexe room, below the main building. I did not feel it was safe, the lock and key did not work well and on two occasions, we had a group of french speaking tourists try to get into our room, t... Read more
