I loved Rome, it's a beautiful city. I would highly recommend it as a city break. But this hotel was not a highlight of my trip. The beds were low, and uncomfortable. This didn't help my back-trouble at the time. I was suffering from whiplash. The showers were terrible. You physically had to take the shower had off the wall, hold it and shower yourself. This was because the shower head didn't fit on the wall properly. It was facing forward (aimed to spray at the entire bathroom), rather than dow... Read more

We did not book Hotel Valle. Our original hotel (Antico Palazzo Rospigliosi Hotel) had an issue with their water or a pipe that was in our room (not really sure as the explanation didn't make sense) so they sent us to their "sister hotel" round the corner. We booked a 4 star hotel and were moved to a 3 star for the night- way below that in my opinion but I'll get there. Welcome to Hotel Valle! Where do I begin? We were put in room 340 which we were told is "the best room in the house" to accom... Read more

If your point is only sightseeing in Rome, using your room just as an logistic support center, Valle is alright. Its location is in between Roma Termini (train station) and Colosseo. And at a walking distance from both. 20 mins from each! Certainly, its main attribute is its location. Breakfast in a lobby... In the mornings, it is a breakfast hall. With the latter function, it has a great backlash for it is too poky. Even though I am a small man, I had difficulty in sitting on those chairs. Th... Read more

We stayed in Rome for 3 nights and 4 days. This hotel was perfect. As we had so much planned we would not be spending much time here, so for what we got I think was great. The breakfast was fine, not loads of choice but I found a lot that I liked (and I can be fussy)! The room wasn't big but we had so much planned that when we got back after a long day that's all we needed. It was so clean and had everything. You go to Rome to view all of the amazing landmarks, not to stay in the hotel 24/7!... Read more

Hotel position is great close to metro and only 400mts to colleseum.room was ok .air con. A few broken light fittings and only 1 electrical socket? Ensuite was very cramped and shower head holder was broke which cause the girls problems washing hair. Breakfast was very basic and blaned no hot option .boiled eggs omelettes? Just cold meat and rolls.poor coffee. And we think we had cash taken from room on last night by night staff which took the edge of what was a nice weekend .also you need to... Read more

Location of the hotel is convenient. That was the positive. Everything seemed to brake at the hotel....elevator, a/c,internet. I called the night manager because the Internet was out. It seems that the front desk "takes the line" on occasion. I was told that I could go to the subway terminal for Internet access. Also, they set the same food out each morning for breakfast, by day 3 it didn't look to fresh. Rooms are also very loud and there was mildew growing on the wall above the shower.

Stayed 3 nights and found the hotel to be very good. Arriving fairly early we were pleansantly surprised to find our room available. Having read reviews I asked for a room at the back and discovered not only was this the case but it was on the 3rd floor so very quiet. The room was not large but perfectly adequate and the aircon worked well. Delighted to find a fridge. The bathroom was large only downside being the shower was meant to be used in the bath and if it was raised water splashed on... Read more

The room was ok if the air conditioning was working. Most of the time it wasn't and the room was very hot and stuffy. The tiny lift continually broke down with us in it one time. We were trapped between floors. The doors were opening between floors as we went up and down trying to get out. Finally we were able to jump down from the elevator onto the ground floor. Very scary feeling! Breakfasts were ok, and the location to the Colosseum was great.

The best thing about this hotel was the location. A short walk from the train station so no taxi required & a short walk the other way takes you to The Forum, Capital Hill, Colosseum etc. The rest of it was just average or below average. The rooms are tiny; as was the bathroom. It really needs to update it's bathrooms - the shower was an ordeal to get in & out of! The breakfast area was also crammed into a small space. The breakfast food was the same every day but it filled us up till lunch. It ... Read more

Well, this is not a hotel in which you will feel like a King, that's for sure... But if you want to be very well located in Rome and not pay a lot, this is the place to be. From here you can go to everywhere by foot, except to Vatican City. There is one thing I really didn't like - breakfast. The rest, is very acceptable.

We stayed for 4 nights in two rooms at the Hotel Valle. Rooms are basic but functional. There is only one small lift and no accessible stairs in the hotel so sometimes a wait for the lift was enevitable, however the wifi works best by the lift too. Breakfast is continental and adequate. The location of this hotel is its main attraction ,a very short walk to the coliseum and the hop on hop off bus stop number 2. Price is reasonable however beware of tourist pricing in Rome ,always ask the price... Read more
