This hotel has great location, and excellent service, there is a roof restaurant where you get a good breakfast with a nice view of the city. also there is nice restaurants adjacent to the hotel. the room is bit small, but that wasn't an issue for us.

Good location but rooms are small and without windows . The worst is that there is not enough electrical outlets. The rooms are very thin and you can hear the music very clearly on the weekends. Nice terrace and ok fruktost.

We spent 4 days here as our base in June 2015 with friends, and walked to the Spanish Steps, walked from the Villa Borghese, (which was amazing), caught taxis from the square. Train station also from the square... can't rave enough about the location. The hotel is mid range to exe in price but the service, locale and convenience out weighs this for short stays. Pizza/pasta restaurant convenient downstairs, typical Rome menu and quick service with a discount provided for the Valadier patrons. ... Read more

We booked three nights at the Hotel Valadier several months ago. On arrival we were told that our room was not available and that we had been allocated a "suite" which was better and "very nice" but was outside the main hotel. We were taken on a walk to the "suite" which was in a very bad condition with dirty towels on the bathroom floor. We immediately rejected this and were then offered a suite within the main hotel. This was accepted. After the first night, we then had to repack and move to a... Read more

The hotel is on a little side street close to Piazza del Popolo. It is a 30 minute walk from the Vatican, 15 from the Trevi fountain. There are two restaurants and a burger outlet at street level which give a 10% discount to people staying at the hotel. Breakfast is served at the rooftop restaurant where there is a wide variety of hot and cold food. After breakfast it becomes the Hi-Res, a rather expensive eatery, but well worth eating there once during your visit. The staff are pleasant and eff... Read more

This hotel is in a great central location near Piazza del Popolo and Flaminio metro station which meant it was easy to get to most of the major tourist attractions. The staff were also very friendly and check in process efficient. We paid extra for a superior room which was very spacious and tastefully decorated with large bed, minibar, separate seating ante space and good size en suite. The only negative was the low levels of natural light due to rear courtyard location, so would suggest asking... Read more

We have stayed in this hotel before and we loved the location, the staff, and the rooms. The rooms are spacious considering the location and they are very nicely decorated. The wood, the black marble, and the mirrors give it a very high class feel. The bath is nice, with a very nice shower. There is a desk and plenty of places to plug in phones and tablets. The breakfast on the roof top terrace is great. The selection is extensive and the staff is friendly and efficient. The location and th... Read more

Hotels in Rome are generally poor value. Hotels are generally expensive for what they offer. Hotel Valadier is such a hotel. Not much worse but also far from being a good hotel for a four star hotel it claims to be. The hotel has a good location near piaza del popolo. It also has a nice rooftop breakfast area with a reasonable but not spectacular spread. Thereafter this hotel lacks positives. Rooms are small. Toilets are small. Extremely poor sound proofing makes it hard to sleep at night.... Read more

The first thing you think when you enter the Valadier is WOW what a hotel, and what is that amazing scent? The check-in is quick and easy. The kind gentleman helped us with our luggage to our room. Didn't need any tip. The first I thought about the room, was " oh, what a tiny room, looked bigger at their site" more about the room I easily noticed was the hole on the front corner of the bed into the madrass. In the bathroom, that also was waaay to small, there was water damage and a lot of dust ... Read more

Excellent location near the Spanish Steps and shopping district, leave your wallet at the hotel if you don't want to spend a fortune. Roof top bar is a must for dinner itself or pre-dinner cocktail with amazing arancini and strawberry smoked salmon tasters. Rooms are small but comfortable. Receptionist wasn't particularly friendly but did let us check in early and were very efficient. The whole place seems to have a fetish for mirrors but I'll let you decide whether that's a good or a bad thing... Read more

Both rooms were clean and quiet. There is a minibar but no facilities for heating your own water. wifi function but is slow. My son and I were traveling to Rome for a few days and a friend recommended this hotel, which is very centrally located. We called ahead before booking to make sure we had a room that could be "twinned" (double bed separated to become two twins). However, upon arriving in the room (and making the request again upon check-in) the room was not set up as two separate beds and we had to ask twice more before a maid came to redo the room at close to 6 pm. Another issue we quickly encountered that the... Read more

We were very excited about staying at Valadier. It is in an amazing location, has a nice rooftop bar and from the lobby seemed like a great 4 star hotel for a good value. Then we arrived. Our room reeked of a strange chemical odor that would nor go away. The air conditioning did cool te room sufficiently and, despite 4 requests over our two night stay for it to be fixed, and the hotels assurance that someone "advanced" would take a look at it, the only remedial action taken was to send the bell ... We stayed at the Valadier Hotel in Rome in July 2016. The location was great and the rooftop restaurant was light and airy. But that was about it as far as positives go. The room was badly configured and small, even to European standards. The entrance/lobby and hallways were very dark and the whole hotel could do with updating (bathrooms and decor). The front reception staff were blunt and somewhat rude. Won't be recommending this one!

Definitely one of the highlights of our stay in Rome. The staff in the restaurant are fantastic! Negative: décor was a bit outdated and we had some minor issues with our bathroom (nothing that would ruin our stay). The biggest negative was that the rooms arenâ??t soundproof. I usually do not post any comments, but this time, I strongly feel that it could be useful to others. We've booked this hotel notably based on Tripadvisor rating and we were highly disappointed. We stayed there 3 nights and booked two double rooms. On the first night, we were moved to another room due to an issue with the door which was not closing. Decor is modern and interesting and rooms are excellent. Well appointed spacious bath rooms which is not always the case in Rome. Staff is excellent. Roof bar for a night cap is the best. Probably better for couples or groups of adults than families. A little expensive for the teens who did not appreciate the decor and service as much as we did.

This hotel has good service, cleanness and also good Wifi. The bold issue of this hotel is its restaurant on roof. Easy access of this hotel to famous attractions of Rome is very interesting. By few minutes walk, every body reaches to Spanish Steps. Old fashion of this hotel is also attractive.

We were looking for a cozy yet elegant place to stay that wouldn't set you back the 600+ euros per night at the luxurious Hotel de Russie, and easily accessible by car - which is an issue for many hotels in the center of Rome, especially if you're renting a car. The Hotel Valdier is nested in the labyrinth of corridors and courtyards of two large buildings just next to Piazza del Popolo.
