Excellent location close to forum, Trajans column etc. lots of restaurants and shopping close by. But pretty tired decor, was actively undergoing renovation. Breakfast below average. Desk staff very helpful.

We stayed here for 4 nights last week. It was nice enough, but the hotel could do with redecoration throughout. Our room was quite dark with no real natural light as the window backed onto another building - it was fine as we didn't spend much time in the room. It was cleaned well every day and the bathroom had a good shower. Location-wise, it's perfect - a short walk to the Colloseum one way and the Trevi Fountain the other. The breakfast was good - a buffet choice and lovely coffee. Ove... Read more

The location of this hotel is perfect. It is located about a 5 minute walk from the Trevi fountain, 15 minute walk to the Coliseum and a 20 walk from Termini station. We didn't need to take any form of public transport during our 4 days there, everywhere is within walking distance. The hotel itself has a 4 star rating, but it is probably more of a 3 star experience. The rooms, while clean and tidy, are slightly dated and would benefit from modernisation. The bathroom is very small and cramped. ... Read more

I was very satisfied with my stay at Hotel Traiano. The rooms were spacious, clean, even stylish. The staff at the reception desk were exceptionally helpful. We were within walking distance to all major sights.

It is in the heart of Rome, you can walk anywhere in less than 15 minutes and if you don't want to walk, bus line go next to hotel. You are middle of everything. Staff was helpful, room was best room in hotel. Thank you for little extra we got, ask room number YYY ;) Some said breakfast was poor, no its not. It doesn't have meatballs, pancakes or beans. There is normal good breakfast whit all you need. OFC there is one of the biggest road next to hotel, so traffic noise can be loud. Like every... Read more

Not even close to a 3 star hotel . Attitude from the front desk. Lousy breakfast. Closet size rooms. The only good thing about this hotel is the location. I have traveled all over Europe and this is the worst I've seen. Do yourself a favor and shop around.

I visited the Hotel Traiano with 10 members of my family. The Hotel is very well situated in the centre of Rome and within easy reach of all the main attractions. It is about 7 minutes walk to the Trevi Fountain and 10 minutes to the Colosseum. The rooms were a good size and also the bathrooms. The buffet breakfast had a good choice of eggs, bacon, ham, cheese, bread, yoghurts, fruit, tea, coffee etc. The staff were polite and very helpful.

A great hotel with friendly staff, very clean and brilliant location for all the major sights. The only down side was the breakfast but considering the service, it was well worth the money. Rooms were very clean with air conditioning and just around the corner was a bar which also served great food. Ideal for sight seeing and the staff would also book tours for you, absolutely fantastic.

Hotel Traiano is situated in the heart of Ancient Rome. Most major attractions are within walking distance: Forum 5 mins, Quirinal 5 mins, Trevi Fountain 7-8 mins, Colosseum 10 mins, Pantheon 25 mins, Termini Station 20 mins. We stayed here for seven nights in July 2016 and from the moment we checked in (early) there was a warm and friendly atmosphere from the front desk. Bearing in mind we were a couple of hours early the hotel gave us the WiFi key and told us to take a seat. They had our room... Read more

The location of this hotel is top notch, walking distance to a lot of the major archaeological attractions of Rome. The staff was good, and we wanted to give a special recognition to Sergei, who was extremely friendly and very helpful during our stay. The only downside I would say would be the breakfast.

The location is superb. The rooms are good and the staff was helpful. However the breakfast was terrible, the milk and all other drinks were boiling hot. We would definitely stay here again because of the location.

Hotel Traiano is in an excellent location, only a short walk from the sights of Ancient Rome and the train station. The bus stop for the tourist buses is also only a short walk away. There are lots of pleasant restaurants, cafes and shops also in the area. The hotel itself is nice, clean and tidy. The rooms are bright, well decorated and fitted with excellent air conditioning - a must for the warm August nights. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only problems were street noise through ... Read more

The staff is helpful, the room is clean and it's short walking distance to everything. Great place to stay, however not a great place to eat. Better off heading out for tastier breakfast options down the street.

300 yds from the monument Emanuel II. Half a mile from the coloseum and forum. There were two welcome complementry bottles of water in the fridge. Brekfast correct. When we checked out the receptionist offered to hold our baggage which was usefull. When we returned to collect them he showed Where the restrooms were, which was also welcome.

This hotel is very well situated, easy to walk to most places you want to see. I would give 5 stars for location. However, although a beautiful building, it's now very tired looking. Mould in bathroom ( towels were threadbare), room was very small with no mirrors (except in bathroom, not very handy when there's 2 in the room). The complementary water bottles had already been opened as the seals were broken,so we didn't use. We were at front of building and traffic was very noisy but that can't b... Read more

I would love to write a glowing review of this hotel but I can't. It has a great location opposite the entrance to the Forum Museum and within walking distance of most of the major sites. The staff are as helpful as can be and most spoke excellent English. The buffet breakfast was pleasant but the choices were limited compared to what one might expect and the hot section was just tepid scrambled eggs and American style streaky bacon which wasn't particularly crispy so kinda just warm and gre... Four friends, two couples in the fifty / sixty age range decided this would be a great city to visit for 5 nights and indeed it was ! So .. the good bits: the hotel was very friendly, with helpful staff , adequate (if not overly exciting) breakfast, great location for seeing most of what anyone would want to see. The streets were exceptionally clean and we always felt safe. Tap water is safe Food was as good as you would wish with enthusiastic but not too pushy patrons encouraging you to dine.... Read more

The hotel is located in the perfect location to walk around Rome and see many of the famous sights. Breakfast was adequate with enough choice to satisfy. The front desk staff speak English and are very helpful giving directions or arranging tours or taxis. The room was clean, medium sized with a king bed that can be changed to 2 singles. Bathroom was small but had a great shower. The elevator is small and slow so I only used it to take my luggage up and down and used the stairs to the second flo... Read more

Great location. You can walk to every part of the city and all the key sights Great service, staff all speak really good English and are very helpful Cleanliness is good Very noisy. If it's not the traffic, it's the bar/pub at the rear of the hotel where they sit outside until around 3am Fairly dated, needs some money spent to bring it up to 4* Breakfast really poor choice and quality. Do ask for an umbrella at reception we handed ours in as plane won??t allow them, they said they have many. Had a fantastic time at Traiano Hotel. The staff were all great and very helpful when asking any questions. Breakfast was fine too. Our room 108 was beautiful, the only negative thing I have to say is it's very noisy re traffic, but you can ask for a room to the back. Within easy walking distance to all the sights, just remember to wear comfortable shoes. Special mention to Marco who was very informative. We will most definitely return here again.
