The St Regis, Rome is the classic elegant hotel that combines the charm of a previous era with the amenity's expected by sophisticated travelers. The service is what you would want from a high end brand with a desire to accommodate your needs. The location is suitable for getting to all of the Rome attractions though a taxi may be needed for some of them depending on where you are going. The staff was exceedingly friendly and always at the ready for any request. I would recommend the St Regis i... Read more

Stayed here for a weekend and could not have picked a better place. The hotel is located in walking distance to the Trevi fountain or even the colosseum, if you fancy a long walk. My partner and I avoided the metro as much as possible because the beauty of Rome is in its fascinating historical streets. The staff here is fabulous, very attentive and helpful. We would like to send Gianluca a special thank you as he was by far the most helpful person during our stay. Gracie mili! The rooms are not... Read more

Really convenient hotel a couple blocks from Termini, a block from Republic Metro and easy walk to nearly everywhere. The fine dining restaurant is a treat and I thought reasonable, helped by a sommelier who picked a fantastic Sardinian rosso that was nicely priced. Also beautiful and quiet. Staff is very attentive as you would expect at this hotel and it has been renovated beautifully! Over 30 years ago this was the first hotel I ever stayed in Europe, and I was looking forward to our return and seeing the late restoration. Our reservation was made over 6 months in advance requesting early check-in. Our arrival started with "no madam" you cannot have early check-in. We had a pending appointment, so we returned to the luggage room to retrive/change items we required for the day. Twice it was "no madam" when trying to change 50 euros for smaller bills to tip hotel employees and... Read more

This hotel is a monument to historical glamour in Rome, with such ornate decor that you might mistake yourself for being a visiting royal. The reception area is beautiful, and the staff were pleasant, though not exactly warm. The spacious, chandeliered lounge has its charms, and feels storied, like a Fellini movie was once filmed there and it hasn't been touched since. The rooms continue with the over-the-top opulence, which while not exactly stylish, was impressive in its commitment to a more-i... Read more

Our family of four enjoyed 6 nights in Rome as a celebration of our significant birthdays. The St Regis was a such a special treat as none of us have experienced a 5* hotel before! From the moment we arrived and throughout our stay, we felt very well looked after. The staff were friendly, efficient and so professional. The hotel itself is absolutely magnificent - immaculately looked after and a joy to walk around. We were able to access the city easily - mainly on foot. Our first but certainly... Read more

The St Regis is in an amazing part of town, with nice rooms and bathrooms. But when I checked in on a Saturday morning construction noise was everywhere, the restaurant was closed and the staff were all standing around taking selfies in the lobby which was about to close for the remodel. I am surprised I was not informed of the construction when I made the reservation. If I was spending more then one night I would have checked out. I booked this hotel as a splurge for the last night of our honeymoon. I'd been to Rome before and thought a luxury hotel would just be so romantic. Check-in: The staff is WONDERFUL, so friendly and helpful! I can't say enough good things about them. They cater to your every need. Room: The decor (in the rooms and the hotel in general) is VERY gaudy. It's not at all my style and it made me uncomfortable with how formal it all was. Everything you've come to expect in a St. Regis - elegant rooms, fantastic location, etc., but for $800/night/room, it fell flat on service and amenities. We had stayed in Boscolo Rome (1 block away, similar price and standard) only 3 days prior and had much better service/experience. The contrast was stark.

Rome helped us continue what was a lovely honeymoon in Italy. The St Regis of course, was part of this. We'd stayed here a few years ago and it was nice to have familiar faces around - like Mario S. The concierge who, as he did a few years ago, steered us in the right direction for great dining options. We were sad that the guys who were at the St Regis Bar were not present - probably moving on to other endeavors - but the staff that helped us were still great. A shout out as well to our St Regi... We stayed at the St. Regis Rome with our teenage daughter in June. This was our second trip to Rome and the last time we stayed in the Cavalieri Rome. We liked the St. Regis better because of the location. The Cavalieri had better views of course and was a nicer facility overall but was too remote from central city compared to the St Regis. The St Regis is an easy walk to the Trevi Fountain and many of the sites that we wanted to show our daughter. The butler service at the St Regis is always... Read more

We spent four days at the St Regis in Rome prior to beginning a land tour. Eveything that followed our stay at the St Regis by way of accommodations reinforced my belief that there are those hotels who say and frankly think of themselves or 4 or 5 star and then there are those hotels who truly are 4 or 5 star. The St Regis is truly an outstanding place in Rome and very likely to see us return next time we come to Rome. Centrally located in the heart of Rome the hotel which is now undergoing so... Read more

Built by Mr. Ritz himself in 1894, this is a Grand Hotel in the tradition of such hotels, and more. The art, the decor are all breathtaking. The rooms are spacious, beutiful and well appointed. The staff are all from central casting of a Grand Hotel and are well seasoned in the art of service and hospitality. You find art and beauty around in every place in the hotelâ?¦ the decor of the room was pretty and elegant and chandeliers and large windows & the bed was great. The bathroom was an ample size, spacious , fabulous & the breakfast & the internet speed was very good . The hotel was undergoing renovation but they manage to mak... Read more

We stayed for one night at the St Regis and the rooms were quite cosy and elegantly decorated. There was some construction going on so some areas were closed off and we didn't hear any banging or got disturbed by any noise. The breakfast selection was good and the dining area was spacious. It was my sons 14th birthday and they send him cake and a non-alcoholic beverage which was quite a thoughtful surprise for us all

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights for our 10th anniversary. The hotel is very grand and only a short 5 minute walk from Termini station in Rome which in turn is only 30 mins from the airport via the Leonardo express. Therefore very quick and easy to reach from the airport. The hotel whilst grand in every aspect is in need of a refurb as a lot of the decor, fixtures and fittings are starting to show signs of age. The hotel has started this work and we were told of this and some areas of the... Read more

The hotel is grand & elegant. We were given a complimentary bottle of Prosecco to enjoy on our 1st night! The hotel is very central and only a short walk to the train station. The beds were super comfortable and the bathroom felt very luxurious. The concierge was very helpful with directions and recommendations. A truly wonderful experience. My only wish - free wi-fi.

I don't feel the st regis in Rome meets the standards of the others. The rooms are spacious very clean but the decor in the lobby and restaurant could be upgraded, felt I was in the late 70'S. Sorry to say that but they are much better places to stay in Rome for that kind of money

From the moment we arrived to leaving four days later we were greeted warmly by every member of staff.nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was excellent with great choices. The head waiter Gianluca even brought me my salmon & eggs as I had trouble walking. Complementary glass of champagne each night, at 7 pm Room was very elegant. Central location for most of the attractions. Fantastic stay.

We had an overnight stay here before going on a cruise ship. The hotel was a 10 minute walk to the Spanish steps and also well located for the train transfer to the port the following day with the station only a 5 minute walk away. Despite undergoing renovations in the reception area the hotel was still very impressive and our room was stunning. We were very impressed with Roberta who checked us in and was extremely helpful. She also recommended one of the best gelato parlours (Latte) I've ever ... Read more

Beautiful hotel in a great location!! The decor is exquisite!! Upon arrival, we were upgraded to a suite thanks to our platinum status. The staff treated us like royalty. Concierge helped arrange some great private tours for our family. I would highly recommend!!!

Stayed at this property with my husband on our first visit to Rome. We were excited after reading all of the positive reviews but found this hotel to be old and tired. Upon check-in my husband who's an SPG Gold member was told that we were given a "unique room, with an excellent layout." Upon entering the room, there was nothing unique about it. It faced the side of the building, was small, and just looked like it needed a facelift! It's unfortunate that we wasted 25,000 SPG pts per night here, ... Read more

Hotel Lobby is under renovation so a temporary set up is sadly in place. The staff of the hotel were very professional and accommodating very willing to help with any request. The rooms are lovely and the staff made sure they were cleaned every day. The buffet breakfast every morning was filled with everything you could possibly want for breakfast and the omelette station was a treat. We also had lunch one day at the hotel and the salads with shrimp were delicious as was their hamburger(ver... Read more

Seriously beautiful, but stuffy. We came in for after dinner drinks and found this place empty. The room was absolutely elegant and grand. Our drinks, Bellini and Old Fashioned, were average and the bartender had less of a personality. 4 star rating is for the space. It was worth stopping in for a drink (or 2) just to check out the hotel.

Very nice staff upon arrival and helpful concierge. I would have preferred to have more than the subtle notification 2 days prior to my arrival that they were undergoing extensive renovations in the common areas. There was not bar to go to; all social gatherings and meals were in a room that normally is used for functions. While most of our trip was over the weekend when work was not taking place, it was really bad on Monday when the banging began again. We had a Jr. Suite looking in on the ... Read more

I am writing this review from the room before checking out I am so displeased with the service in this hotel. The hotel is lovely, the service is horrible. I have stayed in 5 star resorts and hotels all over the world and have never been treated so horribly before. Check in was fine, the woman was pleasant and showed us to the elevator. Allegedly our room included butler service although I never saw him one time during our three night stay. Upon our bags arriving my husband and I inquired h... Read more

We did not see this property at its best as they are completing a remodel but the service née so accomadating that any temporary construction inconvenience was a trifling matter. We arrived with numerous sight seeing goals but nothing confirmed. The consiegre staff arranged private tours (we were 2 couples) by English guides who had access to many areas the were not on the standard. Could not have done near as many bucket list items without them. Rooms were generally small but we'll appointed

My husband, 4 year old daughter and I were visiting Rome, and decided to stay at St Regis based on the family friendly claims on their website "The Family Traditions at St. Regis program is an experience beyond expectation. With captivating activities and thoughtful, welcoming attention tailored for younger guests and their families, each St. Regis hotel and resort is a destination of distinction that celebrates the art of play." and the promotional material goes on and on. Wife and I stayed five nights at the Rome St. Regis in early September 2016. The hotel was very comfortable and in a reasonably central location. The highlight of the hotel was the staff. We very much appreciated Pasquale's restaurant recommendations - he made several great selections, handled reservations, etc. Hotel is between .5km and 1.5km from most major tourist attractions but conveniently located for some businesses and government offices a few blocks away from the hotel. The hotel has received some mixed reviews lately because it is undergoing renovations. We almost didn't stay here for that reason, but are extremely pleased that we did. We had a wonderful stay. They upgraded us to a junior suite which was very large and beautifully appointed. I can't wait to see this beautify hotel when they complete the renovation, but even as it is it surpasses most hotels in beauty, service and ambiance. Their butler service is awesome. it is as good as you would expect from a St Regis. We went to Italy on our honeymoon, and this place was our one really nice hotel. They greeted us with Proseco and fruit which was nice. Everywhere else we chose economy hotels, but we wanted one 5 star hotel, and chose this. Everything was great, especailly the free Champagne Sabering at 7pm. Don't miss out on some free Moet or Veuve in a fancy ballroom. Highlight recommend for SPG card members

We held our daughter's wedding reception at the St. Regis. We and many of our guests stayed there as well and it was an incredible experience. The staff treated us like family and the wedding party was better than we could have ever imagined. The banquet management and staff worked with our outside Kosher caterer, Le Bon Ton, wonderfully. The service during the event as well as our entire stay could not have been better. Bravo!

My sister and I recently went on a trip to Rome and Florence. We stayed in Rome for three days, then went to Florence for three days and then went back to Rome again for one day before we flew back home. Hereâ??s where we stayed: St. Regis Rome, St. Regis Florence and J.K. Roma Prior to arriving in Rome, the St. Regis reached out to us to let us know that parts of their hotel were under construction. Under remodeling construction. Hard to navigate and staff not always accommodating. Attempted to get change for a 50.00 euro bill for staff tips and was told we had to go to a bank for change. Sent pair of shorts for pressing only and they were sent out for dry cleaning instead thus unavailable next morning. Single sink, small bathroom.

We stayed in the St. Regis at our recent visit to Rome. We were disappointed in the room, but especially the bathroom. We had a single sink, unlike the pictures that show double sinks. The bathroom was crowded for two people. Our last night there we had dinner in the hotel and the food was so-so. We weren't especially impressed with the breakfast buffet, although the gentleman doing the omelets was good. The staff wasn't particularly friendly and it was difficult to know which elevator to ... We were staying at the St. Regis as this would be our 4th time stay here. Always excellent service until now. Upon arrival, they will issue you past their major renovation into a small room where we waited for our room.
