This is a fine hotel. Nothing to greatly recommend it, no real problems either. The rooms are clean, the shower is decent. The personnel is friendly, but not overly helpful unless you ask, which is standard in hotels in Rome. If you have IHG status, it will be remarked on, though I didn't get any sense that I'd received an upgrade. The location is *fabulous,* if what you are interested in is the area between the Pantheon and Campo dei Fiori. The location is a bit less fabulous if you inte... Read more

The rooms are very nice, clean, and reasonably spacious. The beds, sheets, and pillows are comfortable. The hotel is walking distance to the Vatican and a reasonable distance from other sights. There are a lot of decent restaurants in the vicinity. The general manager is very accommodating and friendly while the front desk and other staff are very warm and friendly. I will definitely stay here again the next time I visit Rome.

Wow. What a find. We stayed at Hotel Indigo St George in Rome for 3 nights at the start of a weeks holiday in Italy to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The location in the city was brilliant - a 5 minute walk across the river to the Vatican and just a 15-20 minute walk to the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. The major parts of the city are easily navigable on foot. Our room (an Executive Bedroom) was large and superbly decorated and was spotlessly clean. Breakfast offered a g... Read more

I was able to stay here free for a few nights due to credit card points. It would have been about 400 dollars a night. I really like the hotel and it is very modern, but for 400 dollars a night I felt like they charged for way too many little things. We stayed at a great hotel in Florence for 200 a night with free breakfast and free mini bar. At this hotel the breakfast is 20 euros per person. That is outrageous when you are already paying 400 a night. The mini bar was not free either which is n... Read more

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights and it was wonderful in every way. The location is great, our room was very nice and the service was excellent. The rooftop garden is so nice to come back to after a long day of touring the sites. Beautiful views and so relaxing. We are very pleased with the whole experience.

Very nice hotel, rooms are compact but very well designed. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Beautifully designed interiors and a lovely small spa. We will be back! Great location off the main road along a pretty cobbled street with lots of good restaurants close by.

My husband and I recently spent three nights at this hotel and had a very enjoyable experience. We arrive a little before normal check-in time and they were able to let us in to our room immediately. We had a nice room that overlooked the breakfast courtyard area. The room was overall pretty quiet and comfortable. They offered complimentary water, which was replenished during the turn-down service. The room was well lit and had plenty of power outlets. The complimentary Wi-Fi was very fast... Read more

My husband and I had a wonderful one night stay at the Hotel indigo. We arrived directly from FCO via an overnight flight from the US. The staff worked to get us right into a room. Our room was compact but well appointed with a really nice bathroom (and terrific shower!). There was complimentary bottled water, coffee and tea. The bed and pillows were just perfect; so comfortable! The rooftop bar was a very nice place to sit at the end of a long day. The location is excellent; with some he... Read more

Hotel Indigo St George is small hotel located on quiet street within walking distance to all Rome's major tourist sites. The interior is stylist and modern and the bedrooms have some nice pastiche touches to Rome, beds are very comfortable albeit quiet high. The bathrooms have a shower over the bath, all amenities are provided and towels were changed twice daily. The Hotel is located of one of the main city roads, far enough to be a little quieter although police/ambulance sirens can still be clearly heard when they are in the vicinity. The Hotel is kept very clean, our standard double room to the side of the hotel was big enough. Good wall mounted TV. Bathroom not massive, who shares a bathroom! My partner and I had got engaged two days before so we were still celebrating with a bit of a bar tour around Rome - and headed here as we knew the hotel had a rooftop bar. The location is beautiful and offers some incredible views of Rome from above, the service is excellent and the drinks were wonderful too. Whilst it is a bit pricey compared to some of the other bars we visited, if you go there for aperitivo you'll be fed too which adds plenty of value. The seating area is comfortable, chic ... Hotel Indigo is a modern boutique style hotel. Check-in was friendly and efficient. We had a Deluxe Superior Room which was modern and spacious. We did have a cleaning issue with the bathroom which was dealt with very quickly and professionally by Management. What let the room down was the bed - it was rock hard, and very uncomfortable. Such a shame, as the bed linen was lovely and the room was super quiet and peaceful. We had a nice casual dinner on the Roof Terrace, in the evening. Very reaso... Read more

The Hotel Indigo is exactly what you would expect from an American hotel in Rome. It isn't a huge Hilton or Sheraton, but the feel of the hotel was Italian/American. The staff was tremendously helpful (especially when I left a tablet computer behind on a table in the lounge) and they looked for it and kept it at the desk until I could get back. Even the air-conditioning was more to American tastes than the barely-cool rooms we experienced in the other places we had been on this trip. The roo... Read more

Fabulous hotel in a brilliant central location close to all the best restaurants, but in a quiet enough and relaxing area. Only 15 minutes walk from the Vatican City (you can see St Peter Basilica from the roof terrace see photo), 10 Minutes walk to Piazza Navona, 5 mins walk to Campo Fiori and a mere 30 minutes leisurely walk to the Colloseum. Couldn't fault the room, the service, food or ambience. If in Rome again would definitely stay here.

We arrived after a long flight, only to find that a combination of Web glitch and human error had booked my husband and me into a small room with a single (as in "for one person") bed. The hotel was fully booked, and we had planned to stay for a week. We are frequent IHG customers (Spire status), but I don't think that really mattered. Perfect spot on a small side street about a 7min walk to the Vatican. The hotel is small and the rooms were a bit small but considering of its location, its a great trade-off. They took great care of us and we even had a drink on the roof and the end of a long day. If we come back to Rome we will defiantly be coming back. The bed was comfy and there was no noise outside the room.

We used this hotel because the former Intercontinental Hotel de la Ville, at the top of the Spanish Steps, closed down, purportedly for inability to renew the lease. It's not nearly as convenient as the Intercontinental Hotel was, but it is much quieter, and off the beaten track. We did not notice any good restaurants in the vicinity, and took cabs for our meals at off-site restaurants, but the room was adequate, and the staff was very nice and helpful.

The Hotel Indigo in Rome feels like a small, independent hotel rather than what it actually is, a part of the huge international IHG chain. This small property has a discreet location off the main streets in an old building that has been totally, and tastefully, redone. Hotel Indigo is perfectly located to explore Rome's sights. The Vatican is 15 minutes walk in one direction whilst the Trevi fountains is 15 minutes in the other direction. Room and bathroom size was perfect considering this is a historic building (although the renovations and upkeep make it feel incredibly modern). Returned from 4 night stay in a superior room. In my opinion the hotel is in the best neighbourhood as it is full of pretty cobbled roads, with great bars and restaurants. The hotel is well situated to see the main sites but it is not near the metro so if you are unable to walk, buses / taxi's will be needed. If you are mobile it's better to walk as you constantly come across beautiful sights and buildings. The hotel itself is small but tastefully decorated and well appointed with a lovely roof ... Stayed 5 nights here in September when I attended a conference. I was glad I did not comply with the designated conference hotel choice, as that one was in the middle of nowhere. The Indigo is totally delightful - 1) It is located at the rim of the tourist zone and therefore away from the bustle. Yet, it is within easy walking distance to the Vatican City and downtown sights.
