Staying where for a week (still here till Monday) and must say being a hotelier for 10 years and 15 years in travel, this hotel is a disgrace to the expectations of a Sheraton brand. It's not the quality of the rooms, curtains or equipment that make a hotel... It's the STAFF.. And they need TRAINING, they need to have a SMILE, they need to CARE about the customers.. And unfortunately they don't

Speaking from lots of experience in traveling, this place is good for a day or two MAX. I am still here until Monday and I already want to leave. HERE IS WHY: 1. They don't speak English so they always mess up my orders and over charge for it. 2. Over charge for horrible food 3. I have to ask every day for my room to be cleaned!!!! 3. not so great breakfast buffet for 22 euro a person. Unless you only eat ham and lots of it! 4. I had few staff members at reception, room service and at their res... Read more

We arrived on foot after taking the train and it was at night but we made it! The staff were very helpful and we had a nice 7th floor room facing the pool. The Sheraton beds are great - we so needed a good nights sleep after the ferry all night previously. I used the Internet and computer facilities which were good and we took the bus into town the next day and the bus stop was right outside the hotel grounds! stayed here for a business meeting - pretty average for a Sheraton by an airport. Bedroom was fine and clean - bed and shower perfectly good. Food in the hotel was also fine - nothing outstanding, nothing awful. Conference facilities were also absolutely fine - just as one would expect. Conveniently close to the airport (15 mins) - but of course not in a terribly picturesque setting. Nice looking pool that I never got close to :-)

I went to Rome on a business trip and was pleasantly surprised with the hotel. It is not a new one but the service is very good and friendly staff, a bit far from downtown but very easy to take a cab. Rooms are nice and buffet breakfast quite good with good variety of options.

I visited the hotel for a short visit in between travels and not to see Rome. Although the check in experience was rather long, I had a great visit. Especially Andrea from the restaurant went the extra step during the evening restaurant service, with a nice touch of remembering my name the day after for breakfast! It's all in the details. Refurbish club lounge was nice with outside seating.

I went to Rome with family to visit the tourist attractions. I decided to stay at the Sheraton Roma Hotel and did have some reservations as I was told it was better to stay in the heart of Rome. I was not disappointed with this hotel and its location. Although it took us 30 minutes to get to the centre of Rome where all the attractions are, this really was not a challenge. We used to leave at around 12pm and return at 10pm and this worked out really well. There is a Metro around 7 minutes w... Read more

The Sheraton Roma Hotel & Conference Center is a big functional and overall positive business focused hotel. While its style, both outside and inside, clearly belies its history as a major business hotel since several decades, it remains well maintained and modernized, in its large sprawling lobby, spacious large guest rooms (think size of Sheraton's USA origins, not Rome's historic space-crunch), delicious ACVI restaurant, and service level of its staff with the training and professionalism of... Was a bit apprehensive having read the reviews before i left, but can honestly say, I have no complaints with this hotel. Firstly, I would suggest it is designed for corporate events rather than sightseeing. The conference facilities were great and in the main, the hotel catered well with large numbers. I had a signature room which was a reasonable size with twin beds. The over bath shower was fine though not very powerful. Yes, there is a shower curtain, which I loathe, but the shaping of th... The hotel is located between the international airport and the city center. The whole hotel has seen better days and could benefit greatly from some renovation. The rooms are large enough, the furniture is a bit dated, the two lamps at the nightstand didn't work, the dial to change the room temperature was broken and there were no free outlets. The Internet was good. Altogether, the hotel did only partially fulfill my expectations of a business hotel carrying the Sheraton name.

Shuttle bus to airport only available til 12.30pm which was not very useful... Read more

Our trip consisted of 4 days. Basically we needed to sort out some stuff in Rome. When we went in we were nicely welcomed by staff who told us that we booked a twin room for one person. We were angry due to the fact that how can a twin room or double room be for one person? Staff were very nice and polite throughout. We cam in at around 11am but they also told us we can't go in our room until 3pm. Being pregnant and super tired after waking up for your flight at 2am is the last thing you want to... Read more

Had visited Sheraton Roma in July. Quite a nice hotel, with a huge swimming pool, perfect breakfast and very good restaurant. Rooms a re huge, with good air conditioning, very clean. Hotel is located a bit far from city center, but is only in 5 min walk away from EUR Magliana station, located on Metro line B. Besides, hotel has a shuttle service to the city center (6 EURO 1 way, 10 EURO for both ways), and also an airport shuttle. Airport shuttle has a bad time schedule, works till 13:00 only, s... Hotel is isolated with no accessible local shops or restaurants/cafes therefore unless you walk 15mins in 30°+ heat, catch a taxi or pay for the hotel shuttle you need to pay for hotel restaurant. We found a taxi for a family of 4 was cheaper then the hotel shuttle. My room did not have coffee or tea facility so you need to buy from the restaurant. My room did not included breakfast so had to pay ?19 for a buffet that had nothing left, I arrived for breakfast at 10:10 not knowing it ended at... Read more

Stayed at the hotel 1month ago, rooms are spacious and clean. Air conditioning is good, cleanliness good, breakfast was wonderful, a nice buffet that offers wide choice for everyone's taste. The pool was wonderful, very clean. The location of the hotel is little bit questionable as it is located away from the centre but there is regular shuttles from the hotel to centre organised by the hotel itself, it costs about 10? one way but also there is regular public bus no.708 that takes you directly... I'm a Spg member so I normally book the club level, I have book two rooms with the breakfast included, we were disappointed with the quality of food offered, and the attention to the costumers in the breakfast area was very poor. People that work in the hospitality industries, have to understand that a smile and costumer service is their main goal, because that translate in to repeated costumers.

Prior to arrival I was looking forward to spending four nights at the Sheraton Roma hotel, having viewed the website and seen some pretty nice photographs of the pool and facilities. But all is not what it appears and the hotel is clearly more focussed on their key audiences, airline staff with their proximity to the airport and conferences in their large adjoining conference venue. The rooms are adequate, with all the basic services. Room service is very good, prompt with excellent food. Bath... Read more

Unfortunatly got to stay here for one night complements of Alitalia and a missed flight connection to Prague. This hotel was well below our usual paying standards. To start with the Air Cond .was in op in our room and it was quite warm around 32 degrees. They gave us 2 rooms as we had our child with us who was only seven and gave us 2 rooms on different floors??? The rooms are more like a 3 star hotel at best. I have only given it average and not poor due to the lovely gentlemen that serve... Read more

Went here to use the pool as an alternative to the beach. Let's just say the photographer of the pool area has a lot of talent. In reality it's not that big and really stuck to the hotel which shades the pool area starting 5:30 pm. Loungers are very close to one another and not very much space to move around. Nice pool menu, food and drink ordered was rather good - a bit on the expensive side. Would like to try their brunch.

The hotel provides a good facility for meetings and relaxation in the evenings with a pool side bar and late night feasts. Convenient location not that far from the airport but some distance to the city. However we found approx 20 ? taxi fare had us in Ancient Rome for the city sights and atmosphere within 30 mins. Reasonable priced hotel compared to Rome city centre and a decent breakfast to start the day. Good location for business and may work for families that want to visit Rome and man... Read more

Came here to use the pool, nice service taking you to the sunbeds with towels and cushions, however, the pool was ice cold not sure why it was so freezing but it was ridiculous. Food and drink very expensive eg a coke was ?6!! Service wasn't amazing, staff don't make eye contact and just ignore you until you literally shout at them

Let me start by saying that the staff was very friendly and accommodating, especially since there were a large number of people being sent to this hotel after Delta flights were cancelled internationally from FCO. They provided complimentary food and water and wanted us to feel comfortable considering the circumstances. Our air conditioning broke in our room and the staff was quick to send a repairman. When it could not be fixed, they moved us to a new room. That being said, I am giving this h... Read more

I was organising big meeting in this place -400 people. All was spot on, good spacious meeting rooms, good food. All participants were happy. My room was amazing, although I did have exec suite. Staff very helpful and friendly. I was afraid that it was too far from the centre but train station is 10 min walk so centre is very easy to get to. It's not the best place for romantic get away but it's good hotel outside of city centre but with good connection to it.

So, after lots of research on TripAdvisor, I decided to book the Sheraton Roma Hotel for our 5 night trip to Rome, and we're so glad we chose to stay there. The main reason for choosing to stay at the hotel was for the swimming pool and sunbathing area, so that once we had seen what we wanted to in Rome, we could chill out and relax during our holiday - which we did. I read quite a few negative reviews on here before booking, but I'm glad it didn't persuade us to choose another hotel, as this wa... Read more

First impression of the hotel was good, nice lobby, polite stuff. However, the room was disappointing. Very simple, with damaged furniture and extremely awful view from the window. Definitely not worth its price.

The worst single Sheraton in the world, or the worst single (so called 5 star) hotel in the world? Old, old, old, ancient. Smells the part too! Lights and the safety deposit box not working. Hotel unable to fix, so asked to move rooms, after having unpacked... The so called 'Guest Service Center' number is hardly ever picked up. When the bathroom door got stuck from the inside, (due to poor/ancient ventilation), no one picked up our emergency call request!!! Resulting in having to force t... Read more

Rooms, service, check in, food you name it the whole experience was terrible. In all honesty the Sheraton should be ashamed of having their name associated with this hotel. Living in Asia I am used to friendly and quality service whenever I travel on business. The complaints fell on deaf ears, avoid at all cost.

Just returned from a four night stay at this hotel. We had booked two rooms and thought breakfast was included in the price however it wasn't, the rooms were a good size although a little dark and dated. The pool is a great size but be aware if you want a sun bed by the pool it is an extra six euro per sun bed per day. You can take a free towel and sit around the pool edge for free up it isn't very comfortable. The food and drink is very over priced. A beer is eight euro and a plastic cup of cof... Read more

I had read reviews before staying here and was a little unsure of what to expect. The room was average - no mini bar and considering the outside temp of 36 C, when the AC stopped working there wasn't much done about it, however staff were apologetic and tried to be helpful. Breakfast was ok - nothing special I used the gym and it was fairly decent. There's an area in reception where you can use computers/internet/printer which is helpful. The city centre is about 15 min taxi ride, otherwise yo... Read more

The room was fine. Nothing fancy and the price was fair. However, the poolside restaurant prices are incredibly expensive compared to central Rome. As other reviewers have said, if you actually want to sit by the pool you need to pay despite being a guest. The gym however is great and a really star of the hotel. Location and proximity to the airport is good.

Nice hotel, very reasonable. Staff were fine and food is decent. Good gym and pool. Issues: You have to pay to use a sun lounger. Pool isn't available for use until after 0930. The bar / restaurant prices are really high. There is a secure car park there that costs ?25 per night. Don't use it, the regular car park is free and perfectly fine.

I loved this hotel! Its close to the metro. We walked every morning to the metro, maybe, 7min. To get to whatever we wanted to in the city. The hotel does provide a shuttle as well, but it only goes to city center. We close the metro because it was cheaper and we could use the walk from all the pasta, pizza and wine!! Hotel had great food as well, plenty of computers so we could message back home. Wifi was available in lobby as well. Pool is great especially on a hot day. We had a great room, e... Read more
