We spent three nights here after a long cruise. The hotel is clean and attractive. I was amazed at the huge room we received--until I discovered the elevator shaft was next to it. We could have moved, but it wasn't too noisy and the room size (and bathroom size) were huge! All the staff were English-speaking and very professional. We were quite impressed with the breakfast buffet. Contrary to one reviewer saying it was limited, there were scrambled eggs, cold meats and cheese, yogurt, many rolls... Read more

Well the but is this is a truly superb hotel in an amazing location. Very close to the Spanish steps the Elegance Cafe (great Jazz every night) and most anywhere in Rome. Rooms are clean and modest in space but perfectly appointed. Rooftop terrace is very nice, day or night and the basement breakfast dinning is good. Heavy on American tourists, which drives up standards. I would not only go back would like to go back :)

This hotel is centrally located and was very nice. The front desk was awesome and always quick to answer questions and provide service. The bellhops were a little slow - I definitely think they need some work on assistance to and from the cabs. But the rooms were roomy and very nice. Breakfast was included and had a good selection. I definitely would recommend this hotel and stay here again. Roof top bar was nice with a good view!

Good location, but what hotel in Rome doesn't have a good location? If you get stuck on the 6th floor, start praying! Noise galore from the restaurant. Minuscule rooms! Horrible early departure breakfast bags! Have stayed a number of times in Rome in other hotels and this would be my last choice out of all of them.

On the 30th April this year, we held our Rome wedding reception at the Hotel Savoy. We cannot say enough about the kindness and help we received from the very beginning. I was a little concerned about planning and organising my wedding reception in a different country by myself but Diana looked after absolutely everything and replied to all our emails in a matter of hours. The hotel was very clear and explained everything in great detail. We were very impressed by all the hotel staff who made us... Read more

This hotel is ideally situated very near the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. The staff are very helpful, however the rooms are very small and the towels are very thin. There is a buffet breakfast which is very limited so best to go room only and eat out as there is so much choice.

We stayed at the Savoy as a package we booked for the Amalfi Coast and Rome. This hotel far exceeded our expectations after the hotel in Sorrento. Beautiful hotel, very classy, great location, very nice rooms, terrific service and a world class free breakfast every morning. Not one of those dull, dreary Continental breakfast. The real deal. The location was very close to the Metro, buses, taxis right outside the door, restaurants, sidewalk cafe's, wine stores, clothing stores, everything. It was... Read more

Location, breakfast, cleanliness and beds were absolutely fine. Our room had a proper bed for our son who is a tall 13 year old. Staff were friendly and very helpful. You have a safe at no extra cost and there was a PC and printer by reception to print oir boarding passes. The cons are: the edge of the sink was literally over the toilet seat, the bathroom was small for 2, let alone for 3. There was condensation in the bathroom and being on the first floor over the yard no ventilation. i had been... Read more

I thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. I would give it 5 stars because I slept so well. I ate at the hotel restaurant on the first night and although expensive, the food was good. Our tour group stayed at this hotel so usually the bus took us to a certain point and dropped us off for a walking tour. The Spanish Steps were not part of this walking tour but when we got back, I walked to the Spanish steps it was supposed to be a 10 minute italian walk but it took me between 30 and 40 minut... The hotel is very nice and clean. However, I would expect from such a pricy hotel to pay more attention to details: wi-fi connectivity is very poor and going online become cumbersome. Additionaly, the hotel offers very small variety of products for vegeterians and vegans at breakfast. The tomatoes qnd cucumbers were not fresh which was very disappointing given the famous amazing italian produces. Our request for vegeterian fresh produces was simply declined. You can crash here for a night or two if you don't have another choice. Friendly service at the front desk and good location. Elevators are hit or miss. Breakfast is basic and is served in the basement where there was a smell of mold. We brought our coffee upstairs to the lobby every morning.

I loved staying at this large hotel for our vacation, conveniently located in the heart of Rome. Our room was spacious and quiet, the bed was really comfortable and we both slept really well. We loved exploring the many different, excellent dinner options walking distance to the hotel. A special thanks to Andreas, who has given us the best 'smiley' welcome possible, has been an incredible source of information and has gone out of his way to help us during our stay. Highly recommended!

This was our first stop in a 24 day journey through Italy and I was somewhat disappointed overall. The hotel is beautiful, but the room was small and very noisy. At night you could hear chairs scraping as the rooftop restaurant was cleaned up. In the earLy morning you could hear garbage trucks and honking. They did have a good breakfast buffet. Wifi was spotty and required resigning in each time to returned to the hotel.

My wife and I spent a few days at the Savoy 14 years ago - one of our very first holidays together. We are currently replicating that holiday - hotels, locations, excursions. We were off to a bad start at the Savoy, waiting around 15 minutes while the 2 receptionists checked in one person each ahead of us. The following morning we noted a throng in the reception area, and guessed the experience was being repeated. Now that's out of the way, I can proceed with the good news. Everything else was v...
