We spent three nights here after a long cruise. The hotel is clean and attractive. I was amazed at the huge room we received--until I discovered the elevator shaft was next to it. We could have moved, but it wasn't too noisy and the room size (and bathroom size) were huge! All the staff were English-speaking and very professional. We were quite impressed with the breakfast buffet. Contrary to one reviewer saying it was limited, there were scrambled eggs, cold meats and cheese, yogurt, many rolls... Read more

Well the but is this is a truly superb hotel in an amazing location. Very close to the Spanish steps the Elegance Cafe (great Jazz every night) and most anywhere in Rome. Rooms are clean and modest in space but perfectly appointed. Rooftop terrace is very nice, day or night and the basement breakfast dinning is good. Heavy on American tourists, which drives up standards. I would not only go back would like to go back :)

This hotel is centrally located and was very nice. The front desk was awesome and always quick to answer questions and provide service. The bellhops were a little slow - I definitely think they need some work on assistance to and from the cabs. But the rooms were roomy and very nice. Breakfast was included and had a good selection. I definitely would recommend this hotel and stay here again. Roof top bar was nice with a good view!

Good location, but what hotel in Rome doesn't have a good location? If you get stuck on the 6th floor, start praying! Noise galore from the restaurant. Minuscule rooms! Horrible early departure breakfast bags! Have stayed a number of times in Rome in other hotels and this would be my last choice out of all of them.

On the 30th April this year, we held our Rome wedding reception at the Hotel Savoy. We cannot say enough about the kindness and help we received from the very beginning. I was a little concerned about planning and organising my wedding reception in a different country by myself but Diana looked after absolutely everything and replied to all our emails in a matter of hours. The hotel was very clear and explained everything in great detail. We were very impressed by all the hotel staff who made us... Read more

We stayed at the Savoy as a package we booked for the Amalfi Coast and Rome. This hotel far exceeded our expectations after the hotel in Sorrento. Beautiful hotel, very classy, great location, very nice rooms, terrific service and a world class free breakfast every morning. Not one of those dull, dreary Continental breakfast. The real deal. The location was very close to the Metro, buses, taxis right outside the door, restaurants, sidewalk cafe's, wine stores, clothing stores, everything. It was... Read more

Location, breakfast, cleanliness and beds were absolutely fine. Our room had a proper bed for our son who is a tall 13 year old. Staff were friendly and very helpful. You have a safe at no extra cost and there was a PC and printer by reception to print oir boarding passes. The cons are: the edge of the sink was literally over the toilet seat, the bathroom was small for 2, let alone for 3. I thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. I would give it 5 stars because I slept so well. I ate at the hotel restaurant on the first night and although expensive, the food was good. Our tour group stayed at this hotel so usually the bus took us to a certain point and dropped us off for a walking tour. We loved exploring the many different, excellent dinner options walking distance to the hotel. This was our first stop in a 24 day journey through Italy and I was somewhat disappointed overall. The hotel is beautiful, but the room was small and very noisy. We were off to a bad start at the Savoy, waiting around 15 minutes while the 2 receptionists checked in one person each ahead of us. Our stay at this hotel was really enjoyable. The service was excellent, every time we had a touristy enquiry they went out of their way to help us. The breakfast is quite complete and the minibar pretty stocked up, however one night that we came back super trashed by the walking around and heat we wanted some room service and they couldn't get us anything but chips and olives because they had a private event. Apart from that it is a really good place to stay.

We stayed here early September 2016 for 3 nights and would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again! The hotel staff are very helpful and friendly and the hotel is very clean and comfortable. There is plenty to choose from at the buffet breakfast and there is a lovely roof top bar which is a lovely spot to have a drink as it has fabulous views of the city!. No ironing facilities in the room, no mirrors outside of the bathroom. These would have been minor inconveniences until we found we were not welcome in the hotels hotly advertised roof top bar with panoramic views of Rome on our final night of our special trip to celebrate my husbands 50th birthday, due to a wedding, oddly enough happy to have our money the other 3 evenings of our stay - won't be coming back to this hotel on our next trip.

Hotel was situated either within walking distance or short taxi ride from many of the major attractions. The rooms were well maintained. A smart phone was available in rooms and calls were free of charge. The roof top bar provides superb view of city. Buffet breakfast served in spacious basement area. Good selection of food which was generally well stocked. The staff were well informed and always helpful.

We stayed at the Savoy for 3 days in August, 2016. It was very clean, close to many sights and the staff was especially helpful and friendly. The rooms were a little small but comfortable. It is located in a very nice area within walking distance of the Spanish steps, Trevi fountain and shopping and restaurants. It is also near the stop for the sightseeing bus, which will take you to all the sights.

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Savoy prior to a cruise. The hotel is very well kept. Not only are the rooms and hallways exceptionally clean, the hotel had a lovely aroma. Our room was small, but nicely refurbished. The hotel also provided a complimentary cell phone, with pre loaded maps and ideas of things to do in Rome. A nice touch. The breakfasts were excellent. Varied options including meats, cheeses, croissants, fruit, etc. As we were exhausted from our Rome tours, we opted to have dinne... Read more

THis hotel was in a good location, it provided a nice breakfast but hotel and rooms were just mediocre, ok for a quick sleep only. The front desk help is less than desirable, taking 30 minutes to register on arrival for a family, after a long flight. no restaurants or bar, nothing on the main floor and breakfast is served in the basement, albeit a hardy one. I had booked a dinner on the top floor for 11 people and they cancelled the reservation on us.

Spent two nights at the Hotel Savoy in Rome. The location was fantastic for touring the city of Rome. However, the rooms, lobby and elevator are dated and need to be updated. The staff was helpful at the front desk. The breakfast was very good with a variety of self-serve choices - eggs, breads, yogurt, coffee, etc. The room was comfortable and clean.
